The name's Tessa, but you can call me Gatsby. Um, or Tessa, I guess. Whatever. I'm a nineteen-year-old junior-level English major (concentration in literature and writing) at a Christian liberal arts college. I'm working on getting published and so far failing miserably. Hoorah!

What I like in a story: If you have beautiful language, vivid characters, and/or are immensely witty, there's a good chance I'll like your work, unless you're Jane Austen. Yeah, that's right, I'm a female English major, who doesn't like Jane. What now? If you learned to write from reading Harlequin romances, your story is all overwrought angst and no substance, and/or you are preachy in any way, I probably won't like it that much. If you have absolutely no proofreading skills, I won't bother reading it. I imagine none of this should bother you too much, though. That's just me.

Sometimes I do dramatic readings of badfic. Especially angsty badfic. Try it, it's fun!

I'm really nicer than this profile is making me out to be. I think I'm just feeling cranky today.
