911 words of chapter 23. Heh. I'm writing not one but two Spanish essays today. Isn't that nice? If you want I can publish them as a crossover... Como Agua para Chocolate/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...Fail.

My yesterday day consisted of...forgetting to call my aunt for her birthday, losing my senior night tennis match 6-1 and 6-2 (I should have won--she wasn't that good), leaving my senior night rose on the courts on the roof and having my mother not understand how important it was for me to run back and get it until we were a 30 minute drive away, no lunch, no dinner, no House MD (jeez! All the shows are gone!), and very few reviews for my last two chapters. Then I realized that I should probably write a good chapter if I want reviews. Chapter 17 has the most reviews. It has an asstonne. I went back and read it cause I was like "why the hell does it have so many reviews," and then I was like "OH. That's why. I'mgunna write more chapters like that." Chapter 23's gunna be like that. If I get to that part. Maybe 24. There is a chapter planned that will be that good. Soon. It's not 22.

Hello! I'm Moonlight. I am a fairly new author. This past summer (2009) was the first time I've ever had the disipline to sit down and write enough to publish, but I hope to continue. I'm addicted.

A little about me: I live in San Francisco, California and my current occupation is student. I love to learn, but I much prefer writing fanfiction to doing my homework. My hobbies include thinking up the most rediculous things to do and making my friends do them with me (see "How To Ask Someone Out"), baking, playing tennis, playing piano, writing things, and building things. I love math and chemistry. My favorite books include Harry Potter, The Golden Compass (etc.), Good Omens, you know. Those...The webcomics I read are Questionablecontent.net and xkcd. I watch(d) Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Trueblood, House, Scrubs, Avitar, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Star Trek TNG and TOS, Glee, and...I'm sure I'm missing a few.

I ship pairings that aren't cannon but are either hinted at enough that it works or have enough material that I can work with. Examples: Kirk/Spock, Snape/Lucius, Harry/Albus, Crowley/Azeraphale, Serius/Remus, Sookie/Eric, Spike/Angel.

By the way, for all of you who asked, "Der Mondstrahl" means "The Moonbeam" in German. I don't speak German, but "Der Mondstrahl" sounded better than Moonbeam or Moonlight in any other language. My favorite song is Dancing in the Moonlight and I have a weird love of the moon.

About My Fics:

Shiny and Blue

My current fanfic project is Shiny and Blue, my Harry/Dumbledore fic. I was posting rediculously frequently (I wrote 30 thousand words in 14 days) during the summer of 2009, but now that the school year's started I'm only getting around to posing about 3k words a week (which is still fairly frequent. So get over it.). I'm super psyched to be getting so many reviews--I love the reviews. They make it worth my time. And sometimes I get really long reviews that end with things like "I'll stop taking up your review space"--well, I love long reviews, so keep it up. I'm really having a lot of fun writing this one. I don't forsee a time when I'll stop writing it. At this rate I could plan years and years of plot =D.

Angora Wings and Other Things

My first project was a joint project with the lovely and tallented Insert_Username_Here. She visited me while I was on vacation with my family in Palm Springs area after not having seen each other for several months and locked ourselves in a really hot room for three days and wrote a fic called "Angora Wings and Other Things" about Sev Snape and Lucy Malfoy. It ended up being pretty spiffy and we both enjoyed writing it a lot, despite being in a 100 degree room (no exaggeration) and not leaving for several days. Every time we came out for meals we'd start snickering about various slashy inside jokes (fruit salad) and my parents were like "WUT's GOING ON." That was fun to explain. We also started to see Slash everywhere...My brother was watching "The Road To El Dorado" on TV and we were having a rare moment outside of the bedroom (no smut intended), and we were watching Miguel and Tulio (one blond, one black haired) and we glanced at eachother and burst out laughing...My bro was like "WHAT'S SO FUNNY." If you've never written something with anyone, I highly recommend it. It's lots of fun. --Though the fact that we were writing it together was probably the reason it ended up without a lot of smut. We mutually decided that trying to write sodomy together would be detrimental to our relationship. Of course, she'd probably just say "we didn't write smut because we are respectable individuals and have no interest in dirtying the internet and tarnishing our innocence." It would be one of those moments where we wouldn't be sure if she was kidding.

The Proposal

Ok, this isn't my fic. It's not even really a fic. A straight male friend of mine wrote this for an assignment for a class. They were reading P&P and they had to write a marriage proposal between two characters. I thought the pairing he chose to turn in was so funny that it merited publication. It's pretty goofy. He facepalms every time I send him a new review, but secretly he loves it. =P

How To Ask Someone Out

This is based on real life. So, ok, I like a guy who's 3 years younger than I am and my imagination keeps going wild and giving me these really funny ask-out scenarios. I thought they would be entertaining to publish. I will take real-life suggestions, though!
