Poll: Which character do you think I write the best? Norm isn't on there because I'd like to try writing a fanfic that doesn't involve him for a change. He's still my fave character though. Vote Now!

Author has written 29 stories for Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, Star Trek: 2009, Static Shock, and Doctor Who.

Whoa... I sure have a lot of faves! 'Cause I read a lot, I suppose! XD Or maybe just 'cause there's lots of awesomeness out there, and I can't bear letting any of it go by unacknowledged.

My main fandom at the moment is Fairly OddParents and my favorite character on that show is Norm the Genie. He's practically the only character I write about. I can't get enough of him (despite the fact that he's a popular character, and there should be enough, but there's never enough when one's obsessed with him), and if someone write a wonderful, awesome fanfic about him (regardless of the pairing, genre etc.), they'll be guaranteed to get a Review, Fave, or Story Alert from me. Don't worry, I do read about other characters, and in other fandoms.

I also sometimes read in the Pokemon video games, Ben 10 (though I haven't watched much lately), Danny Phantom and Bartimaeus Trilogy fandoms.

I also read in some other fandoms, like Harry Potter, if I hear that there's something good there.

I'm a multi-shipper. That means I'm okay with any pairing (regardless of kind, particularly ones involving Norm the Genie and slash) and that I think any pairing can be pulled off well by someone good and if you see me make any statement to the contrary, it is probably a mistake. If you believe anything to the contrary about my views on pairings, you are wrong. Alright, I've just realized that I do have some pairing preferences. The thing is just that I don't hold firmly to them, and like stuff that aren't my preferences too.

I should tell you what they are, should I?

Harry/Draco (Harry Potter)

Norm the Genie slash (Fairly OddParents)

I personally think that Cupid and Juandissimo were together in Wishology, but Butch Hartman wouldn't say that was what they were doing, on show or off show, since its a kids show and all. The restaurant scene looked a lot like a date to me. I can accept people thinking that they weren't though, of course, and I can like them with other people, of course (like Norm the Genie for example. He's so awesome that I love, love, love him with anybody, particularly males). (Fairly OddParents)

It took me a while to understand Cosmo/Timmy - though I do like it, and liked it before I understood it, but I do now, and have found slashy moments in Wishology for this pairing. In fact, they had a lot of slashy moments in Wishology. (Fairly OddParents)

Timmy/Remy is my preferred Timmy pairing at the moment. (Fairly OddParents)

I like writing rare, unusual, cracky pairings most of the time - I also like to write pairings that aren't like that, but especially that kind. I like the challenge of getting them together while keeping to canon and keeping all the characters in character. Also, most Norm the Genie pairings are like that. As well, that kind of pairing makes me sure that I'm not writing a plot/idea/story that's already been done a million times.

I tend to have trouble understanding a pairing - but like them anyway - when most of the fanfic about the pairing takes for granted that they're together, or would get together (ei. doesn't have any 'how they got together' stories; doesn't take canon love interests into account or writes them out of character; has the same cliches every time; has characters out of character etc.). That doesn't apply to canon pairings, like Cosmo/Wanda, or pairings that I see as canon, like Cupid/Juandissimo. After reading or writing fanfic that doesn't, I begin to understand the pairings. If I don't understand a pairing, I desire to understand it and get frustrated that I'm not.

As you've seen above, I prefer slash, though I do like het, gen and femmeslash.

I write whatever I've got an idea for at the moment, regardless of the pairing though. Lately, I've been writing Norm the Genie slash, since I have a burning need for more to exist, or for it to become more popular. Unfortunately, I do not have a burning need for the sequel to Unforgettable or the next chapter of It's Two Kinds of Magic so they'll probably take awhile. However, if you (somehow) have a burning need for the sequel to Unforgettable or the next chapter of It's Two Kinds of Magic, tell me, preferentially by review.

Whoa, that's a long pairing preferences explanation for someone that thinks of themselves as a multi-shipper. That just shows that pairing preferences are universal. XD (Did I use the emoticon right?)

I often put my stories in my Awesome Norm the Genie Fanfic Community after they get at least one review, and never do it when they have none, since when they have none, I have no idea about their quality and won't add anything to a community if I have no idea about its quality. The only reason that I make up such a big percentage of the community is that I write lots of fanfics about Norm the Genie, and most have got reviews.

I would appreciate constructive criticism on my fanfics. I'd rather have one good, honest review that helps me improve than ten fanpoodles going "OMGKEWLIES RITE MORE K!!11111" (though they are also appreciated).

If you review me, I'll probably reply to your review. "OMGKEWLIES RITE MORE K!!11111" doesn't give me much to respond to so you won't get a long reply. Probably, just a one-sentence "Thanks for the review!"

If someone creates a great characterization for a canon character that doesn't have any in canon, I tend to expect that they will use the same characterization in all of their fics.

Also, I sometimes misinterpret things and often don't get symbolism. That probably means that I get misinterpreted a lot too and if I ever said/say something offensive, I probably misinterpreted something someone wrote/said. You should probably try to clarify it with me and when I clarify it, you should respond back, telling me whether I actually clarified it. If you don't respond back, my anxiety issues might kick in and I'll wonder if I managed to actually clarify what I said/wrote.

When fandoms have both a book and movie canon, I will probably be more prone to go by the book canon instead of the movie one. If the fic's premise is set at a time not covered by the movie canon yet, though covered in the books, I assume that the author is going by the books, not the movies.

I'm very good at keeping to to canon and noticing when others don't.

If someone's profile is too long, here's a tip. There's a button on the top right called hide bio and you can press it so you don't have the see the entire profile, just their stories.

If my fic isn't done in l33t, don't respond with it. Of course, since I never write fics in netspeak, you should never respond in netspeak, though I did run a few of mine through this for the lulz, though I didn't post the netspeak versions of the fics. In fact, they became so unreadable when translated to netspeak, that I don't see why its so cool. Do any fanfic readers really want to read this:

TIMY KNEW TAHT SHE DIDN’T RILLY MEAN TAHT!1!!1!! OMG WTF LOL WH3N H3 WISHED HIMSELF IN2 DA INT3RNAT 2 RETREIVE A LUV LETAR H3 WROTA 2 TRIXEI HE HAD WENT IN2 V3RONICA’S COMPUTAR AND H3ARD V3RONICA SAY TAHT SHE LOVED HIM WIT DA “WHIET-HOT INTENSITY OF A THOSAND SUNS” OR SOMETHNG LIEK TAHT!11!1!1!! WTF LOL CREPY!1!!1 TIMY WANTED TRIXEI AND TRIXEI ONLEY!1!1! OMG LOL

Type of unreadable trash, or would they rather read this legible writing:

Timmy knew that she didn’t really mean that. When he wished himself into the Internet to retrieve a love letter he wrote to Trixie, he had went into Veronica’s computer and heard Veronica say that she loved him with the “white-hot intensity of a thousand suns” or something like that. Creepy. Timmy wanted Trixie, and Trixie only.

They are the exact same part of Unforgettable, it's just that one went through the translator and the other didn't. Basically, don't write or review in netspeak because it is not cool and doesn't attract me to your fic.

I guess you can use netspeak if you use normal words too, but I still won't be able to understand all/any of the netspeak. I understand LOL, WTF, IMO and a few basic ones like that, at least.

I've just noticed something. Stories/chapters only seem to start getting reviewed after they have 10 hits. Before they have 10 hits, they typically will have no reviews. I observed that when I was looking at the Traffic for my stories. This is really strange, since only the author knows how many hits they have. Maybe it has something to do with the amount of time the story/chapter was up and the fact that stories/chapters with many hits have been up long enough to acquire people who want to review as well as read.

Also, I don't see why most people see the need to post tons of memes on their profiles. Just so you know, despite my lack of memes I am against racism, homophobia, child abuse etc. I just don't want to post hundreds of stupid memes saying such things.

WARNING! PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LOST THERE FOR DAYS!

TVTropes

(Strangely enough, the TVTropes!Unknown20Troper is not me. However, I do have a DA, and a LJ.)

Also, here's a tip about how to find good fics that I found on one of my fave authors' profile:

A great tip to find good stories: When you find one author you really like, check THEIR favorite stories. I find that the best authors usually have other great authors on their favorite stories list. In case other people do it the same way I do, I try to add favorite stories to my list constantly, because I've found several amazing authors on this site.

I'm back! Here's a link to a site full of good slash rare-pair fics: link

The site is called the GreyLAW Database.

I found it while searching the web for Norm the Genie fics. The Jorgen/Norm fanfic (Three Wishes by Dagger, whose known as AnihyrMoonstar on FanFiction.Net) on there is wonderfully in character and Fairly Odd Parents style and you should check it out!

She also has 3 in Danny Phantom, and 4 in Artemis Fowl.

July 21, 2009

I just created a forum and a community for Norm the Genie.

August 10, 2009

I've subscribed to several communities, so I've favorited lots of fics I was alerted about. However, I haven't read all of them completely through yet, though I will ... someday. I hope! I will rewrite Losing Streak sometime in the future too, because after seeing a real baby, I'm not sure if I did well writing about Norm as one.

Oct. 10, 2009

I added a new poll. This poll asks which character I write the best (other than Norm). I'd like to expand my range, and write about someone other than him, but I'm worried it won't be good enough. I made the poll, so I could know what other character I do write the best, so it will be good enough. The poll is about that, not the character that you want to read about being paired with Timmy, so please don't base your votes on that. I won't be able to tell what your vote was based on, so please base it on anything else, since I'll only end up confused.

If you want me to write your fave pairing(s), or request anything else, send me a PM instead. I want to extend my range beyond Norm the Genie (even though he's totally awesome, and there should totally be more Norm the Genie fanfics).

Also, after I finish Facing Darkness in the Dark, the Godparent series will go on hiatus for a while, until I can get a few other fanfics finished, and then I'll return to it. I won't beg for reviews for anything, but if the Godparent series gets lots of reviews from many different people, I might consider taking it off hiatus sooner than I planned. However, that's not a sure thing, and I may not hiatus it, regardless of reviews, or anything else. Reviews will not influence whether Facing Darkness gets finished though, since it already is.

Also, if you're a fan of Losing Streak, my Norm backstory fanfic, drop me a review, alert, or fave. Despite being able to see my stats, I'm not sure how many people actually like it. Don't worry, reviews, and all that other stuff don't have much to do with my updating, though they can be inspiring, since reviews let me see my fanfics from someone else's point of view.
