Good day from somewhere in rainy old England!

(It is actually raining at the moment, so that seems fitting.)

My name on fanfiction is Rocky. I'm a seventeen year old British girl, and I'm constantly followed by a raincloud named David. I have two cats, one of which really is called Rocky and the other of which is on a diet and is a cranky old moo, and I own many many fish, and have done all of my life. The colour purple will out, bacon sarnies are brilliant food when you return from DofE. I have an obsession with Potter, especially with the Marauder Era and a growing one with the Next Generation. I also have an obsession with one-off BBC dramas and films that reduce me to tears. I have never cried so much at a film as the Deathly Hallows part two.
I spend more time than is healthy reading and writing fanfiction and I have many humiliating experiences to share with the world. I want to write my autobiography to share these cringeworthy moments, but since I am neither rich nor famous or even remotely interested in recounting my life, I shall refrain. :D
I use more emoticons than most people, it probably drives everyone to distraction, and say the words "wicked", "ace" and "awesome" more than I should.
Disclaimers are my arch enemy.
Other than that, there's nothing more you should know about me!
Hope to see you around.

If you would like my Tumblr or something like that, it is deathbymatrimony.tumblr.com (cos Wham! guys, Wham!), although be warned - I might spam your dash with Doctor Who GIFs. The reblog button is one of my favourite things in the world :D

Breaking News

05/04/10 - I don't like Twilight anymore. It's official. The thing with Twilight was, when I first read it, I was in love with it. I thought it was amazing, a really good love story. Back then, I hadn't read many love stories, and I was swept in with the phenomena. When I reread it, I found that I didn't like it so much, and that though others still loved it, it wasn't for me.

17/04/10 - I'm in love with the Eleventh Doctor.

19/07/10 - Saw Toy Story 3. I'm not proud... but... it almost made me cry. it got me all teary-eyed. I was SO glad for the 3-D glasses, because my eyes must have gone really, really watery.

04/08/10 - I have just admitted that I need to add Will Schuester to my... mature... male crushes. By mature, I mean, 30. Some of these crushes might have been from when they were younger. Some of these crushes I still fancy today. Everyone has the mature male crush list!

11/09/10 - I'm bummed. Big Bro is finished. Forever. Five, I don't know if you could revive it. It was channel four's thing. Oh well. Bring on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

28/11/10 - I'm in love with Robert Sheehan and I'm not afraid to admit it.

9/2/11 - I admit it to myself. I'm in love with not just one fictional character, but three. Moony, Padfoot and Prongs. Although Sirius is my number one. Don't you just hate that when you fall in love with fictional characters? It feels mildly unhealthy that they aren't even like, real people. I don't fancy David Thewlis, Gary Oldman or Adrian Rawlins. This just makes it weirder. But there's the truth. Beauty on the inside and all that funk. :D

19/02/11 - In a fit of insanity, I deleted all of my Twilight fics. The fact is, I simply cannot get back into the flow of them. I'm sorry. I spurted out the odd chapter when someone asked me too, but it had no plot and I just can't remember what it was that made me write them. On the plus side, if you like Harry Potter, I'm pretty frequent at updating them. I'm really incredibly sorry everybody.

20/02/11 - I'm thinking of writing a Bridget Jones style fic from the POV of Roxanne.

25/04/11 - Wow. United was simply AMAZING. I was so impressed with it, especially with Jack O'Connell. I thought I was going to cry, it was so moving. Bobby Charlton is an incredible man, and his story is so sad. And Harry Gregg is so brave, he's a wonderful role model.

25/04/11 - I have a FictionPress account! Same penname and everything ;)

15/07/11 - Saw Harry Potter. Have never cried so much at a film... or at anything, and I've seen Titanic and Out of Africa.

06/09/11 - Saw Fright Night. So much better than the reviews seem to think. Basically, I liked it, even if the rest of the world didn't. The funniest thing was that apparently there was some flashy effect that went off in the cinema everytime the bolts of lightning went off. My friends were getting really creeped out and kept going "Look! Look! It's there! LOOK!". I missed it every single time. Whatever it was, I'm sure it was amazing.

15/10/11 - This seems to be becoming a bit of a film blog, I've noticed. But today I went to go see The Three Musketeers. Once again, I don't care what anyone else thinks, I personally thought it was brilliant! I was really into it - it was just my cup of tea. Yes, it could be a bit cheesy, but so can everything. I liked it just as much as Pirates of the Carribean. Now have a crush on Aramis. Already had a crush on D'Artagnan, just a bit reinforced. And I love a good fight scene. :D

11/11/11 - It was my sixteenth birthday today, and I realised something. So, basically, my parents were going to call me Poppy (because it's Remembrance Day in the UK and other places, where we wear a poppy as a sign of respect for the fallen and their families) and the eleventh hour of the eleventh day was when the armistice for the first world war was signed and declared over. And there's two minutes silence. And it's sad. But anyway. On with the story. So if I had been called Poppy, I'd have been a smidge like Victoire, who was born on the last day of the war years afterwards. And that just made me smile.

19/12/11 - So I now realise I should have done my Christmas shopping earlier.

20/01/12 - Feel I should say something about my ridiculous excitement for the Hunger Games film and more Mortal Instruments casting news.

25/3/12 - Saw the Hunger Games. I really feel like I should say something but there is no word that justifiably sums up how supermegafoxyawesomehot perfectly amazingly superb it was. It was so faithful to the book and on the few occasions it wasn't, it didn't matter, because it was pulled off perfectly. And Marvel and Glimmer and Cato and Clove and their summer camp attitude was just amazing. I've never felt so interested in their characters as I do now. All I can say is that you can expect some future Hunger Games works from me. It was just so fabulous. I want to see it again. I'm still fangirling right now.

3/08/12 - Okay I can't shut up about it. I went to the Olympics. Today I saw the weightlifting, which was absolutely phenomenal, there were four Olympic records set. These women are probably lighter than me but can lift over twice my weight above their heads. And then, on Wednesday, we went to see the swimming, which was absolutely incredible. I swear they were all like weird fish! You could see the divers warming up when the swimmers were too, and it was so bizarre to see them in the flesh. They're actually real; they can actually do those weird twists with their bodies. And then when the heats came on, I saw some of our great Brits (who actually did pretty damn well), had a screaming competition with a French kid (I think he might have damaged my eardrums) and finally saw Missy Franklin, Ruta Meilutyte, Jessica Hardy, Ryan Lochte and MICHAEL PHELPS swim. I was in the same room (well, it was a massive room BUT STILL) as these absolutely amazing swimmers. I just can't believe how lucky I was to see this. I'll shut up now.

To all of my reviewers

Dear Reviewers of any of my fanfics,

Firstly, thanks for supporting me. I really do love those people who tell me what is good, what is bad and how I can improve, suggest things I can put into it etc. All of you have gone into your own time to put down helpful comments and compliments that brighten my day, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Secondly, thank you for putting up with me. Whenever I rant in my ANs or don't update for ridiculous reasons, thanks for sticking by me. It's really motivating and inspiring, and it brightens my day to get a review to tell me to continue, even if it's a "put a rocket up your arse, Rocky, or I'm going to do it for you" kind of review. Believe me, they are appreciated.
You're ace, and I always try to review your fics out of good grace in return. I always try to reply, and if I don't, feel free to PM me to ask me why I disgracefully haven't.
Just, thank you. :D

Love and butterfly kisses,

Rocky

"Nice work in there, Herondale, setting the place on fire," Gabriel observed. "Good thing we were there to clean up after you, or the whole plan would have gone down in flames, along with the shreds of your reputation."
"Are you implying that shreds of my reputation remain intact?" Will demanded with mock horror. "Clearly I have been doing something wrong. Or not doing something wrong, as the case may be." He banged on the side of the carriage. "Thomas! We must away at once to the nearest brothel! I seek scandal and low companionship."
Thomas snorted and muttered something that sounded like "bosh," which Will ignored.
Gabriel’s face darkened. "Is there anything that isn’t a joke to you?"
"Nothing that comes to mind."
"You know," Gabriel said, "there was a time I thought we could be friends, Will."

"Where to she now, then?"
"What?"
"Where to she now?"
"Right, either speak English or learn Welsh, cos that, "where to she"... do you you mean where is she now?"

"Yes, Baldrick. I am. And if you don't answer, then the booted bony thing with five toes at the end of my leg will soon connect sharply with soft, dangly collection of objects in your trousers. Now for the last time, Baldrick, where is Dr. Johnson's manuscript?"
