Author has written 28 stories for Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Harry Potter, Tin Man, and Robin Hood BBC. "Why do they torment me? I was ready to go at ten o'clock." I'm a writer--I used to be a huge fanfic writer, but then real-life got in the way and fanfiction had to be put on the back burner for a few... years. I'm slowly (read: glacially) getting back into it, but I find myself unable to concentrate on chaptered stories for any amount of time longer than, say, a few weeks. But I DO want to get back into fanfiction so I'm trying. Really. I mean that. Mostly, I write stories with some romantic aspect in it, somewhere along the lines. One of the genres will almost always read "Romance", but I do put other things in there besides a lot of smooching. Staying serious is difficult for me--even my serious stories have humour in them somewhere. I feel like I can't write angst to save my life, but I'm told I'm good at it. Long-windedness is my curse, and it's hard to keep a long chapter under control. I have a weakness for well-written, original AU stories and I have no idea why. I'm an admitted fluff addict. Tragedies upset me, so I avoid them--however, I looove sad stories with happy endings. I sneak anecdotes from my life into my stories because my life is a soap opera and therefore a goldmine of good material. Of late, I've started this new thing where I have a story AT LEAST 2/3 finished before I begin to post it, and then I post a new chapter once a week. This way, the time between updates won't vary wildly and I still have time to finish writing without rushing. Sometimes I have a veritable bumper crop of writing and finish three or four chapters a week; other times, I can go two or three weeks still working on the same chapter. Also, it ensures that I don't abandon a story halfway through--there's nothing worse than reading (or writing) a story and then finding it abandoned. My plotbunnies are ravenous little things and I have reason to believe that they are plotting my death. I hardly ever write for multiple fandoms at once, since I can't seem to put my head into two (or more) different canons at the same time without risking serious cranial implosion--so I'll grind out story after story for one fandom, and then go off of it for a while and start on another. I don't know why I do this. 0...0 Fandoms I write for/read: My 'ships, yo: 0...0 You might notice that a few of my stories are labelled "DEAD". This means they're DEAD. They won't be updated, now or ever or in a few weeks after I've found "inspiration". I'm really sorry about this, but they're for the most part extremely old stories that I wrote when I was a teenager. My writing style has changed so drastically over the last years that it would be impossible to simply pick up and finish writing these stories--it would look like completely different author had taken over it. I'm glad that some people still like them, but I'm not fond of them anymore and the short answer is, NO, they're not being updated. Bell and Hammer is on hiatus for a while. I WILL finish it, but I'm not sure when. I apologize for this, as well. I feel like such a bad person!! | |||||||||
