I felt it was time for an update, and I also wanted to address something that’s been bothering me. I’m gonna soapbox here, and it’s my profile so I can. :o)

Canon Nazis. It’s not that I personally have had issue, but I have the pleasure of knowing a number of AMAZING fellow writers, that have. The flack they have caught is ridiculous.

I completely agree with the statement that “Transformers Canon” is practically an oxymoron. We TF fans have a diverse, rich, and creative fandom. There is no excuse to limit authors with flames and story bashing. If a fic is well written, ie… not laced with heinous grammar, ridiculous and numerous spelling errors, and the characterizations… no matter how outlandish from “Canon”… are at least consistent, then simply back button if you don’t like it. It’s more important that a story make sense, follow some path of logic, and be a good read, than that it fit PERFECTLY into ONE person’s idea of Canon.

I mean we have the CREATORS of Transformers happily backing our imaginations. What more could a fanfic writer ask for?

And please remember: We don’t all start out AWESOME at this art. Some do. I was not one, and am still (a decade later) struggling to improve. There are still young and new writers that, ok, the stories just plain aren’t good. But they’re just learning. If you just HAVE to say something how about, instead of making fun of their creativity, offer to beta, leave a politely worded, NOT, condescending review with good constructive criticism. They’ll accept it or not, improve or not. But writers should not be bashed on just because their fic does not fit into a reader’s view of canon.

And besides, if we stuck to canon, we might as well just transcribe the cartoons, movies, and comics word for word. Fanfiction IS an Alternate Universe. Period.

In other words, everything you write could be canon somewhere, in one of these. The geniuses behind the Transformers franchise must really love their fans to have thrown us that juicy feast. I'm all too happy to take their 'permission', as it were, to invent new continuities and run off a cliff with it.”

Agreed with 100 percent and quoted with permission from ianam1983 of LJ. I’ve been following this sentiment for a while now. But she put it into words ever so perfectly.

Yes there are 4 planned stories to follow Entropy in the CCC universe, but those will not be getting written or posted until after my latest project.

Regarding Crackalackalicious:

Might as well give ya the lowdown here. I began writing this other story back in late November of 2007. A LOT is written but it is by no means NEAR comlpete. It began as so many of my fics do... a random daydream/half-waking dream and i COULD NOT get it out of my head. It's since become a challenge, an addiction, a character study, and my way of trying to grow myself as a writer because ONE DAY i will sit down at the keyboard and begin tapping away at a series I am planning that I hope to publish. I could never leave fanfiction behind, but I would love to complete this monster project, prove to myself I CAN create dozens of characters who are all unique souls and wind MANY plot points together. I will also put this in the Author's Notes when that fic is posted but here's a few things I want to say and be very clear about.

Ryagelle - Thank you for putting the Twins and Ratchet together and thank you for your permission to use elements I first read in your fic Twinning the Hatchet. STILL one of my fave fics.

Melora Max - Thank you for the permission to use elements I originally read in all your wonderful fics for Soundwave and his creations.

And thank you to the other author's whose names are still in my main system back in Anchorage who I've talked to in the last year and a half for your permission in using tidbits and ideas I saw and loved so much in your fics.

I'd also like to say that this fic that will begin posting in the end of June 2009 is my baby. But not just MY baby. Shannon and Lenore have been absolutely KEY in its development and growth. They've encouraged me. They've listened to me. They've pointed out the things they love and hate and it wouldn't be what it is without them. I have GREAT love for this story. I love these two women even more. Lenore is my editor. She goes above and BEYOND the call of a beta and is a TRUE editor. Shannon has spent countless hours bringing the characters to visual life with her talent as an artist and like Lenore has sent hundreds of emails kicking back & forth ideas.

I'm almost afraid to post the first chapter. No... that's not quite right. I'm possessive and I know the girls are too. It's a BIG deal to us. Really big. And that's all I'm going to tell you all here. :o) Please.. if you haven't added me to author's alert & think you might be interested in a post 2007 movie, with heavy G1 influences story, please add me. I currently have 49 chapters complete and have MORE ready to be written. It's taken over my muse and made Entropy difficult to complete. I do hope you'll all forgive that. I didn't want to just write crap and toss it up online just to post. I DO love Entropy and the CCC Universe and i want to do it justice. Hang tight another couple weeks and you'll have it in its entirety.

I'd like to add a thank you here to all those who have reviewed and added to favorites and alerts. I definitely appreciate them and it DOES encourage me to get back to writing. Now that things are calming down here, and with no hubby to chase about and torment, I should have time to get back in the groove.
