This is my tenth year writing fic in various fandoms under whatever alter ego suited me at the time. I am re-christening myself as GreenPuma and centralizing all of my fic to FanFiction.net mainly because the user name I had been using in my last fandom doesn't seem to be available anywhere on my current one, and different handles for different fandoms and sites are getting too hard to keep track of.

So, why a puma, and why is she green?

Green /ˈgrēn/ adj. - Concerned with or supporting environmentalism

Puma ˈ/pü-mə, ˈpyü-/ noun - An attractive woman in her late 20s or early 30s; 2. A woman who is not quite old enough to be a cougar, but still likes to date or mate with younger men (source: urbandictionary.com)

...Because these definitions merge the "green" I am in real life (hippie/granola California girl) and the "puma" I am in fic (a 30-year old woman who thinks her obsession with lemony fic starring "youngsters" Edward, Jasper, Emmett, and Carlisle and is hilarious). As I'm happily married, I only date and mate with my husband, of course :)

The fandom in which I am currently writing is Twilight, where my preferences lie in AH/AU with ExB pairings. Most of what I write will eventually include some lemons. I am also a fan of slash, and am in progress with an ExJ. Special thanks to Gondolier, who has graciously stepped forward to beta my first Twilight Fic, "Facebook Friends"! Also, thanks to Sassenach Wench, who betas "The Art of Worship".

And, no words of gratitude and admiration are enough to give love to Mabarberella. One day (hopefully soon), when polygamy is legal, I'm going to marry that girl!!

Translations: Neither at this time, nor do I ever, plan to accept offers of translation. I am multilingual (formally trained and fluent in English, Spanish, French and German) and I have done some translation work. Not only can I fully appreciate how tremendously difficult it is to do good translations--I have very high standards, given my background. I have seen, and attempted to read many translations of other people's fic, and I have been disappointed by much of what I have seen. Bluntly, many of the translations don't maintain strong fidelity to (technical) language or tone, much less other subtleties, and since I don't have time to do quality control on the translations I have been offered, I choose to decline to do any. So, if you ask, and I decline, please don't take it personally. You may be the most talented translator on earth--I simply don't have time to learn whether I am comfortable with your skills. Beyond that, I don't feel a burning desire to make my fic available in multiple languages. I'm sure that non-English-speaking readers will find plenty of fantastic fic to read, even in the absence of mine. Finally, if you ever see my fic translated, please tell me. Any translations are unauthorized.
