11.15.12 = This is my huge step back.

I've grown up so much since I started writing and reading online fiction in about 2002. Fanfiction & the like aren't actually easy worlds to live in, with the empowerment of creative growth, the complicated reality of reader comments, plagiarism, my concern that all along, just in using previously existing characters and locations without the owners' permission, I've been plagiarizing, the truly unwell people (GoingVintage) peppered throughout the internet who may affect you, the refreshing and uncommon good stuff...I've seen so much of it. Online stories have helped me become a better writer and a more aware, understanding person.

I, of course, am not the same as I was in 2002, and I want to continue with writing, my greatest passion, but legally protect my work and share it with more people by selling it. For a long time now, I've held back when I came up with an idea I loved, because somebody might quietly steal it from my profile. I am proud of what I've posted, but I have so much more to give. Currently, I'm writing a book of unsent letters that I hope to have published (like, not vanity-published, but legit, touring, in-store or -library readings published).

Please know that I take care with my "favorites" lists to spotlight stories & writers that impress me, because when you're creating, you're being brave (as compared to Cassandra Clare brave), & that benefits you.

I respect a lot of people who've left a mark on this site, and, oh -- thank you to the site.
