I deeply apologize that many of my stories haven't been updated in a long time. I've been doing some "soul-searching" with my writing, and thinking of scrapping some of it. I'll keep you updated on that. In the meantime, know that I am sincerely sorry for the lack of updates.

You must've done some long, hard searching to find my page, and I thank you that you've decided to visit it :) I'm always hard at work on stories, and do my best to get updates up in a timely fashion (though I usually fail). Reviews seriously make my day, and I will thank you probably a million times (give or take) if you happen to leave me a little something about a story :3

Some things you should know about me

:The name's Kelsey. I'm pretty partial to nicknames, but if that's not your thing, you can just call me Kelsey or Kels. :)

:My birthday is November 25, and I am 19.

:I'm cleverly disguised as a responsible adult. My maturity changes depending on who I'm hanging out with, honestly, heh.

:Where am I from? Well, I say I'm from NorCal (Northern California). That's usually vague enough to satisfy curiosity and keep away stalkers. XD And, to dispel any preconceptions about California, I do NOT live in the OC or the 90210. I don't have a beach right outside my house. (Though I used to live down the street from one.) Our beaches up here are covered with snow and rain during the winter. My hometown has snow 8 or 9 months out of the year, and most people in this area are outdoorsy and like hiking and stuff like that. (Probably why I wanted to leave. When you grow up in the "great outdoors", all you wanna do is stay inside, really. .) We have snowball fights instead of water fights. We bowl rather than party. But when we do party, we do till we collapse. We see mountains instead of skyscrapers. We see the stars instead of city lights. That's the California I live in. :)

:I'm a sophomore in college. My major? Performing Arts. That covers all my interests--acting, theatre in general, music, musical theatre...yeah. :)

:I am a girl. Though I've been mistaken for a boy twice. And for my brother's twin. He's 16. O.o

:I've got this thing for jellyfish (most likely influenced by my love for Kuragehime (Princess Jellyfish)). Butyeah. I love 'em. ^-^

:I love to read. I happen to have the wonderful talent of being able to walk and read at the same time. For a klutz like me, this is quite a feat! xD

:I also love music. Most kinds of music. :I wrote my first fic when I was, oh...fourteen, maybe. It was not good, believe me. I've improved a lot over the years, and now feel I've hit my stride as a writer. I enjoy it, and love to hear people's thoughts on it.

A couple quick notes...

- I guess, to some, it might get confusing if I continually use an OC with the same name in my stories, because people will say, "When did this happen between them?" or "Wait, they've already met! And all that other stuff happened, too!" I am very uninventive with names, so that's why I use a lot of the same names over again. While names of characters may be consistent, I try my hardest to make no two stories alike. Sorry if the use of the same name in multiple stories is confusing! x[

- I've been hearing a lot of things about "Mary-Sue"-type characters, so I finally went on UrbanDictionary and looked it up. Basically, it's a main female character in a fanfic (usually based on the author) who has an overly special name, has special powers, is incredibly beautiful and talented, is kind-hearted, and becomes romantically entangled with the author's favorite character -a character who, in essence, is "perfect" in every way. I strive to stay away from the Mary-Sue-type of characters when I create OCs based on myself and/or my friends. No one is perfect, whether we are incredibly smart or talented or pretty or not. I try to make my characters believable and relatable by making them imperfect and giving them faults (like prejudice, hard hearts, stubbornness, pessimism, self-loathing, nightmares from a troubled past, etc.) Even if, in some stories, a character has a certain ability that he or she does well, or that is unusual, I still do my best to make them real.
I usually make an OC based on myself just because...well, who do I know better than myself? And I'm a dreamer. My mind is always filled with things like, Oh, what about this? Or what if this happened with this girl and this guy? That'd be interesting! Basically, I write to experiment and to entertain myself and my friends. I don't write to build myself up or make myself seem like a better or more remarkable person. Honestly, I don't think I'm all that special. I'm just getting through this life as best I can, looking on the bright side, and accepting who I am, what I believe, and what I love to do. I'm happy with who I am, and I'm learning not to care what other people think about me and my beliefs. I love God and my friends and family. And writing.
I'm not a Mary Sue. I have no extraordinary powers. I am not perfect. My name isn't mysterious. I'm not graceful or stunning. I don't think I'm capable of capturing the odd-passerby's attention for more than a fleeting moment. I'm not confident in new situations.
I'm quirky and silly. Fun-loving. Friend-and-family-loving. God-fearing. Manga-reading. Anime-watching. Sometimes slightly obsessive. Movie-and-anime-quoting. Song-singing. Life-loving. Sunny-side-looking. Sorta go-with-the-flow. Empathetic and emotional. Procrastinating. Music-listening. Story-writing. A little shy and withdrawn. Sometimes totally random. Hopelessly romantic. A total klutz. A skip-down-the-hall kinda girl. Sometimes a little selfish. Anti-conforming. Worrying. Caring. Willing. Able.
Basically...I'm me -an imperfect being. And as long as that holds true, that's what my characters will be.

;Ordinary Day (being written - HIATUS; Chapter 51 up 6/16) I had a dream about this one night after listening to the song "Ordinary Day" by Vanessa Carlton (GREAT song, by the way), and after starting Crisis Core for the second time (I didn't finish it the first time. ...And I still haven't finished the game at all yet. *sweatdrop*). Most of my fic ideas start out as dreams, but I actually got up the next morning and started writing it xD It's gone through several edits (like editing Cloud out of the beginning (He does return later in the story! Don't worry!), actually paralleling the game, and using real dialogue from the cut-scenes), and it finally feels like it's flowing well. Two other original characters (besides the main female character) do appear in it. I would be so grateful if you'd let me know what you think of it!
Summary: The happenings at Shinra are becoming ordinary for newly promoted SOLDIER 1st Class, Zack Fair. Genesis going crazy, Angeal abandoning the company... So he takes to walking around the slums of Sector 5 to get away from the training that never seems to stop. Then, one day, he stops to look around the rubble of an old building, and stumbles upon a new turn in his life—one he never expected, but one he soon found that he couldn't live without.

Note: Lots of you have been wondering about the ending of "Ordinary Day". That is privileged information, I guess you'd call it. Only one person besides myself knows how it's going to end (if it will end how and where Crisis Core ended or not), and I don't want to spoil the ending by answering any questions. You readers wanna find out for yourselves, dont'cha?

;Do Or Die (being written; Chapters 5 up 11/24) After seeing HP 7, part 2, my awesome-amazing friend BondSlave and I got really inspired to write a HP fic. We've been working on it non-stop since (even staying up until 5am some nights writing!), and we're having SO much fun with it. We hope you take a look at it, and that you enjoy it :)
Summary: There were four mischievous boys, and their misunderstood victim. Then came along two girls--one a dark but kind Slytherin, and the other a colorful and cheerful Ravenclaw--who frowned upon the segregation of the houses, and continued their friendships (and formed new ones) despite the separation. They would stand strong through hurtful words, pranks, and unbelievable secrets. Two boys, a wolf and a snake, won't know quite know how to react to these girls who have dared to enter their worlds and challenge the tradition of the houses. ;Watch the Sky (being written; Chapter 1 up 2/1) My roommate and I started watching Supernatural last October, and, well, now we're neck-deep in the horror, angst, and hilarity that is the Supernaturalshow. Somewhere between the end of season one and the middle of season two, Alisha and I started joking about what would be different if we were there on the show. That got me thinking about a story--one that could be considered the...pre-inspiration for "WTS". A few episodes later, I scrapped that idea and wrote Alisha into the story alongside me. Now it's turned down a whole new path that I never expected it to. Hardcore fans of SPN (as well as the other friends and family I've shown this story to) have called it "perfectly in character", "wonderful", and "great." Alisha made me stop reading to her after the intro, and she went on for about fifteen minutes about how "amazing" it was. The intro. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. But I'll shut up now and just let you go read the story for yourself. I only have the first four chapters completed (as well as a whole lot of future concepts), so updates might be a little slow at first. But don't worry. I can assure you that it'll be worth the wait. :) Hope you all enjoy it!
Summary: When a typical haunting turns complicated, Sam and Dean find themselves leaving a city with two rather unusual companions in tow. Now they're all setting out to fight the things lurking in their dark world, and the demons battling within themselves. And they've got to learn to lean on each other to face the oncoming war—together. Otherwise...the world might just stop for good.

;Lovely Traces (completed - may be deleted; Chapter 37 up 4/28) Instead of Tohru coming to live among the Sohmas, what if it was three orphaned girls? Oh, the madness that ensues... The main characters (the girls) are based on my friends (they know who they are haha), the exception being that Kiku is based on myself. (Those of you who have read "Ordinary Day", yeah I'm not all that creative on names, so it's the same name xD) I've been writing and rewriting, adding and deleting on this story for some time now, and I think I finally got it. Hopefully... *sweatdrop* Please review if you happen to read it! Thanks to those of you who have been! It means a lot to me!

Summary: Since the accident, it seems my best friends -Miki and Sachiko- and I (Kiku) just can't catch a break. Then the prince of our high school, Yuki Sohma, and his cousin, Shigure, find us in the forest, and invite us to stay with them! They seem just like any other family (even when Kyo breaks through the roof of my room to challenge Yuki to a fight), but...there's something off. I can sense dark pasts and sad stories. Maybe we're not so different after all.

;What I Go to School For (being written - HIATUS; Chapter 4 up 4/28) I got the idea for this one from some artwork I saw on deviantART by *chibiasta. [The links to her artwork are here: +01 and +02] As she put it, instead of Zack and Cloud working for Shinra, what if they went to Shinra Academy? OCs introduced as well as the FFVII peeps, of course. I really got the writing on this kick-started when I recently watched Sixteen Candles again (One of the BEST. MOVIES. EVER.), and some parts are based on it.
Summary: There hasn't been a new student at Shinra Academy's high school for a long time. And of course I just HAD to be made his "buddy." Could I be wrong, and he's the friend I've been hoping for? Can I finally untangle myself from the social ladder set up by the Populars? Or will I fall and screw things up...again?

;Dark Blue (being written - may be deleted) What fan of D.Gray-Man hasn't wished at least once that they could become an exorcist for the Black Order? That desire is what spawned the idea for this story, as well as the desire to meet Allen Walker and Lavi Bookman ^.^ I wrote the first sixteen chapters of this in less than three days -a personal record, I think. Anyway, I hope this story is enjoyable for those who read it, though it parallels the anime quite closely. Somewhat based on the song "Dark Blue" by Jack's Mannequin (one of my most favorite songs EVER). AllenxOC, LavixOC.
Summary: On a night the perfect shade of dark blue, two young exorcists entered a cemetery to fight off an akuma. Simple. Standard. But little did they know that this mission would be the first of many to change their lives forever, starting with the discovery of two girls...

;Traces of a Dream (being written) Edward Elric believed that everything could be explained through science, that the whole world was nothing more than equivalent exchange. But when another state alchemist -one even younger than himself- comes along with abilities that reason cannot explain and starts traveling with him and his brother Alphonse, will he try to refute her, or will he ultimately accept her? Is she some hidden key they need to get their bodies back? Could the strange powers she holds somehow help them? This is the untold story of the Dream Alchemist, Calliope Ellis.
Most likely will be rated T for Ed's foul mouth, heh.

;Reverie (being planned/written) After I finished the first season of Vampire Knight, my friend and I started talking about wanting to write VK and Black Butler fanfics. So I started in on my VK one, heh. It introduces a new OC, another adopted daughter of Headmaster Cross and member of the Disciplinary Committee. Yuki's still in it, as well as all the other characters. It's mirroring the anime, sooooyeah haha KanamexYuki, ZeroxOC.
Summary: What's up with Zero? Yeah, I know his ditching patrol isn't exactly unusual, but it seems to be getting worse and worse! Why won't he just talk to me? It seems like, every time I get one step closer, he takes two steps away. Maybe I'll never figure it out. Then I've got my sister and Kaname to worry about. I don't know what it is, but something about Kaname makes me uneasy. He obviously cares for Yuki, but what do I have to do with any of it? Such is life at Cross Academy...

;Shatter the Symmetry (temporary title; being written) She was a disgrace. There was nothing symmetrical about her. From her different-colored eyes and asymmetrical haircut, to her multi-colored fingernails and non-matching socks and shoes, she was a sin against nature itself. It made him sick to look at her. He wanted to destroy her -to blot her out completey. Yet, somehow, they had soul resonance. A twist of fate? Or destiny? I guess there is that old saying that "opposites attract"... But can the son of Lord Death move past his irrationality, and work to make his new partner into a weapon worthy of a Grim Reaper?

;Justice Will Prevail, Or Not (on hiatus - may be deleted; Chapter 3 up 8/26) In the style of LatteJazz's "Dilly Dally Shilly Shally" (hilariousness; go read now), it's the erratic escapades of the Death Note gang as shown in "Wreck of the Day". (This means that my OCs -K & S- will be in it as well) ^.^ My oneshot "When A Shinigami Laughs" is chapter one, and the chapter title was the original title of this story. This story is what we call "the dumping ground" for all the random ideas S and I had while watching Death Note that don't exactly fit into the "Wreck of the Day" storyline. Ideas include trying to get L to eat real food; what happens when K & S are left to make the next Kira response video from the police...after having a marathon of a certain cartoon show; trying to do something about those bags under L's eyes; and the madness K & S cause when they only quote one character from a certain cartoon show (again)... xD If you've got a random DN idea, run it by me! I might be able to do something with it ^.^

;Revenge with Alien Guts (on hiatus - may be deleted; Chapter 2 up 8/1) So if you haven't read the amazing Vietta's story "Gettin' Lucky," you're missing out. Go read it before you even think about reading this. (Gettin' Lucky"'s in my favorites down there.) After Tseng humiliates Reno all throughout Shinra, Reno decides it's time for a little revenge. Throw together a brilliantly forged transfer order, some big-bad aliens, and laser cannons, and you get some really satisfying revenge. Credit also goes to my loverly reviewer TsumeLover666 for making a comment about Tseng that gave me the idea for how Reno would get revenge. Thanks to everyone who's reviewing!!

;The Otaku Corporation: You Say "Otaku" Like It's a Bad Thing (oneshot; completed) Vietta (who is an amazingly talented author, by the way ^.^) and I have a LOT of random conversations that make me want to write stories, but this one was just too good to pass up. Our conversation was about every girl's favorite topic -guys. *sweatdrop* xD Anyway, we talked about height, age, and then got on to smell. Then we started talking about how we thought our fav FFVII guys smelled, which made my imagination and muse go into overdrive. This story is the product of the randomness. Enjoy xD

;The Otaku Corporation III: The Internment of the Acquisitions (on hiatus; Chapter 1 up 11/20) run4life is a new reader of mine, and she's HILARIOUS and super nice! :) She asked if I was going to continue with the Otakus, and wondered what was going to happen to their latest acquisitions (a.k.a. Genesis, Angeal, Sephiroth, Zack, and Reno). She gave me a lot of good ideas, so it's dedicated to her ^.^
Summary: Genesis, Sephiroth, Angeal, Zack, and Reno are now in the hands of the Otakus! With Reno still waiting for his brilliant plan, there seems to be no hope of escape. But when one Otaku in a powerful position starts to have conflicting feelings about her job, will she help them, or help herself?

;I'll Take That Action (oneshot - may be scrapped; in plot bunny stage) So, if you haven't already, you should go read Vietta's story "What I Want". It's epic, is what it is. Anyway, after I read Chapter 3, I commented that if Rude didn't get somewhere to save [someone] in time, I was gonna *ahem* "go all crazy white-girl on him," I believe is what I said. *sweatdrop* xD Then, of course, Vietta and I went on to talk about how there was no way I'd be able to beat up Rude, no matter how much I wanted to. Well, this is about my attempt to do so. And about Reno's betting on the outcome. xD

;My Only Link (A Love Story) (oneshot; completed) This is a oneshot I wrote a while back based on an episode of my favorite TV show, M*A*S*H. All explanations of the inspiration and such are in the intro. I hope that this appeals to fans of the show, and even my loyal readers who may not know what M*A*S*H is! Basically, it's a story of the girl a soldier left behind, and how his sister -traveling with the U.S.O.- found his only link to his fianceé and got it back to her. One of my more serious stories. I hope you like it.

;Brighter (being planned/written - may be scrapped) The sequel to "Lovely Traces". It's been a whole year since Kiku, Saki, and Miki came to live among the Sohmas. Thoughts of the future are swirling around everyone's minds -thoughts of finishing school, and what to do afterwards. As if that's not enough, there's also the Zodiac curse still hanging over everyone's heads. And with the curse comes more revelations about just what it means to be a member of the Zodiac -and what it means to have ties that run blood-deep. Are the girls in over their heads, or can they find some way to help this tangled-up mess of a family?

;Yet To Be Titled (in the plot bunny stage - will most likely be scrapped) A love story about not only what happens when three ordinary girls meet the not-so-ordinary Sohma boys, but also a summer about taking chances -on people, and on living your life. The product of having stalkers, and having a summer job. Based on the song "First Time" by Lifehouse.

;Lost and Criss-Crossed (being planned/written - may be scrapped) A random idea I had for a crack fic starring my friend and I. What if, by some random happening, we were transported into the world of FFVII, unknowingly replacing main characters? O.o Actually, when I think about it, it's sort of like this mini-series I watched called Lost In Austen. If you're a Jane Austen / Pride & Prejudice fan, it's really worth watching.
Summary: We were just taking a trip to the grocery store. Completely innocent, right? Then explain to me how Anna and I wound up in Midgar! Yes, that Midgar. To be more specific, Anna woke up in Tifa's room at 7th Heaven, right down the hall from Cloud Strife; and I was just discovered in Aerith's church -by Zack Fair! Now we've got three problems. 1: Figuring out how we got here. 2: Figuring out why our presence seems to have upset the storyline so much. And 3: ...How do we get back home?

;Movie Night (temporary title; being written/planned - may be scrapped) Another random crack fic idea my friends and I had last year (at a celebration of Cloud's birthday x] ). Being co-written by the amazingly talented LatteJazz :3
A bunch of musings, random happenings and conversations (i.e., "OMIGOSH, Kelsey don't move!" "What, why?" "There is the biggest spider I've ever seen on the floor. I'm getting my mommy!" "WHAT?! *jumps to end of bed and peers at ginormous spider* ZACK! Come kill this huge spider for us!" or "Zack, we can't scoop the ice cream!" or "Reno! You wimp! Get back here and watch this horror movie or I will get physical with you!" Things like that xD) that started when we watched The Uninvited. I really like where we're taking it so far, and we hope some other people get laughs out of it, too (once it gets posted, I mean) :3

;Melodies Of Life (in the planning stages; being written; experiencing writer's block) A three-part series about life as a young witch. Part I: Misguided Ghosts follows our young heroine through childhood, when she learns about innocence, and how you lose it as you grow up. She meets some spirits along the way -some friendly, and some spooky. (Title taken from "Misguided Ghosts" by Paramore.) Part II: When You Come Back Down shows our heroine at thirteen, where she is old enough to find a city of her own and develop her "skill". She finds out that being a witch out on your own is harder than you think. (Title taken from "When You Come Back Down" by Nickel Creek.) In Part III: Mysteries or Rescued, our young witch leaves her town in search of a magical master to teach her. She has no idea the adventure she will stumble upon. (Possible title taken from "Rescued" by Jack's Mannequin [FAVORITE SONG EVAR].) Parts based on My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Howl's Moving Castle. (I have a feeling Part 3 will be the longest, but it's difficult to say at this point. I hope to start posting it very soon!) Also influenced by the song "Melodies Of Life" by Kate Covington, from which the title is taken.

;Wreck of the Day (in the planning stages; being written - may be scrapped) As L's suspicion of Light grows, he realizes that he's going to have to get closer to Light to find out if he's involved in the bizarre criminal murders committed by this person known only as "Kira". But L thinks he'll need someone else's expertise other than his own, so he calls in two more detectives named K and S -two girls as mysterious as L himself. The three sleuths plan to infiltrate Light's school and gain his trust while reviewing the evidence and searching for more clues. All seems to be going according to plan (even after L reveals himself to Light), until S discovers some strange things about Light, and begins to question her feelings for him, his peculiar personality, and his motives. Meanwhile, L and K are having trouble of their own being frustrated over the case, and over their feelings for each other. LightxOC, LxOC. Most likely will be rated T for...Death Note-ness... xD

;Phoenix Burn (in plot bunny stage - may be scrapped) I just finished rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender (and now I can say that I have seen the whole series IN ORDER!), and it got me thinking about this story. Suddenly, a girl popped into my head and I started thinking of how she could influence the story and maybe change it up a little bit. ...I never liked ZukoxMai anyway *evil hands* heh... And, of course, the SokkaxSuki and AangxKatara pairings will be there as well. Can't do without them! ^.^

Summary: When Zuko learns that he and his Uncle Iroh are to become refugees in Ba Sing Se, Zuko's shame reaches new heights. How will he capture the Avatar and restore his honor now? The situation only complicates when an orphaned Earth Kingdom girl starts tagging along with them. She seems weak, fragile, and hurt. But for whatever reason, she has insight into the battles Zuko is fighting within himself. Will her presence only serve as fuel to the fire, or is she the remedy Zuko so desperately needs?
