Author has written 7 stories for Mutant X, Harry Potter, Discworld, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and Misc. Plays/Musicals. I'm 18, a big Harry Potter fan. I also read loads of other people, Terry Pratchett being one of my favorites. If I review you it's because I have seen something good in there, it may be that you have a great writing style, an origional plot or idea, or just that it's very funny. You're unlikely to get a long review though, I rarely have time. I don't really go for pairings and never for slashes, the Harry Potter books have an innocents about them that I don't want lost. For the rest they tend to be too graphic, people seem to think love is all about sex. It isn't. It happens but I don't want to hear the details. And as for the Obi-wan/Qui-Gon ones...Qui-Gon is like Obi-Wan's dad, if you had a father/son slash people rightly wouldn't be happy, I feel the same way about this. Oh, and btw, my name really is Harriet, leading to a ridiculas number of Harriet Potter jokes. OK, enough about me. I'm not a great writer, I know that, but I AM a great reader. I read loads, I always have done. I used to read a novel every day or two, and I don't mean short ones. I read all four Harry Potters the day I got them, then went back and re-read them. I read all kinds, from childrens books to the greats. I love Tom Clancy and Micheal Crichton, I first read Jane Austin (by choice!) when I was 10. So I'm pretty experianced in this. The point of all that was that my favorite authors/stories list is worth checking out. I update it fairly regualy and I try to avoid putting in any stories that will never be finished (Staff of Orkney IS finished, although it's unlikely its sequel ever will be. It stands alone well though, that's why it's on the list.)But anyway, in my opinion all the things listed are worth checking out for some reason. One or two aren't really stories, like The Fan-fic Manifesto, but thy're worth it all the same. There are a whole load of diffrent genres in there so it's likely you'll find something to suit you. I strongly urge you to take a look, they're miles better than me andd there are certainly worse ways to spend your time than reading these. Harriet | |||||
