Author has written 7 stories for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries. Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. A little about me: I am an IT consultant by trade, had been living in So. Cal for the last 10 years, but suddenly found myself (and my family) back in Arizona, where I had gone to college. (thus the pen name...I know, I know, original right?). I pick up contracted work by large corporations to document pretty much anything technical, so my official title to most is 'Technical Writer'. Usually its regarding things like Virtualization of Servers in the Enterprise or Cloud Computing and not anything near as fun as Vikings and Telepaths. But, when I don't have a contract that takes me away from home, I'm a stay at home mom, who enjoys escaping with a good book when things get crazy. I mostly read at night, after the kiddos have gone to sleep, or on my iPhone, while in a very boring meeting. You'll find my writing is mostly canon. I have written two All Human stories, but I just don't feel the same when I write them. I sort of feel like I'm writing about completely different characters with just the same names. I try to keep my characters true to their personalities from the books, even if I play with ages and settings sometimes (I really like writing Pre-Revelation!) I like to explore various options in my stories. In my two multi-chapter stories, I cover possibilities of Niall and what he wants from Sookie and how he and Eric were involved (Best Laid Plans); and the power of Sookie's blood (Dead End Job). So often we've been hung up on her Telepathy as her 'special' quality, but I have the feeling with the Fairies so involved in her life now, that there is more to her heritage and to her as a person than just her little 'quirk'. Some readers are worried about the state of Eric and Sookie's relationship. There are many suitors and avenues that CH could send our Sooks, but I'm a firm believer that an author would not spend nearly 11 years writing and building up a relationship like Eric and Sookie's, just to tear it down in the last two books. It doesn't make sense. All relationships have bumps in the road and Eric and Sookie's specific path has never been smooth. With CH saying that Sookie will never be a vampire, it certainly will make the staying power of their relationship complicated. However, I'm thinking she has something else up her sleeve to resolve this and some of their other problems (Cluviel Dor?). Since I've invested the last five years, reading her books, I can only patiently wait for the next two and hope for the best. In the meantime, I'll be reading and writing about the love of Eric and Sookie in FanFiction with hopes that it will all come true some day. And if not -- well there is always more FanFiction! | |||||||
