Once again, a delay pops up. (I've been looking at my fics and intending to write, though. Really, I have. I just haven't gotten anything done.) This time, it's because... my keyboard is broken. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, and when it doesn't, I literally pound the keys in frustration (and nothing appears onscreen, of course). I've been pleading with my dad to return it or something, but he's just as bad at doing things as I am so I don't know when it'll be fixed. But it makes writing a huge pain, and practically impossible to do.

...I'm hoping to do something for Christmas, though. OH MY GOD CHRISTMAS IS IN FIVE DAYS. ...We'll see about that.

Old News:

(December 10th, 2009) You have no idea how much I've been wanting to write over the past few weeks.

And I haven't been able to, of course. The semester is ending and I have had exams and papers filling my schedule since October. That book still isn't done, and I don't care anymore.

But now, I have one more exam. Of course, I live in Canada, and Christmas means a lot here, so I'll be busy then, too. I will nonetheless see what I can do, because I really, really want to write right now.

Thanks for bearing with me. Third year is tough, but I'm halfway through, and my schedule will become much lighter soon.

(August 11th, 2009) No updates today (I've been in a bit of a rut - don't feel particularly inspired, and when I was last night, a certain friend made me marathon Merlin all night! Bah, excuses, excuses), but I've got a cool link I want to share for the other fanfiction writers out there:

I found it pretty interesting, and I hope to implement some of those suggestions for my future chapters, especially since the last one I posted was a prime example of what not to do. Interesting podcast; I hope everyone enjoys it.

Yeah, yeah, I'll try writing tonight. There's so much I want to do, even as I grow more and more discouraged with every piece of news about DGM. Has anyone else read those spoilers?!

The Exorcism Displacement: Note to self: Chapter 10 must be funny. Chapter 10 must have more magic-related things. Chapter 10 must be the exact opposite of everything I actually need to be in it. Said notes are currently compiled on a yellow-green post-it note that will be going on my computer once I have plans finalized.

The Clownfish: Chapter 5/Final: Here's the thing: I have about 10,400 words done for chapter 5. However, after starting to revise that to fit with chapter 4 (which, at the time I started writing this, hadn't even become an idea), I've decided that there's a lot of inconsistency with previous chapters in terms of where the relationships and thoughts stand. So I am scrapping most, but not all, of what I've written so far and redoing it. So the actual word count is about 2,400 words, though there will probably be later paragraphs I don't feel like rewriting. (The plot will remain the same. Only the character thoughts will change). Also, as some of you may know, I had the ending all planned out. This entire chapter was planned from start to finish, with a perfect middle scene before a decent ending. Except... well... the ending wasn't what most of you would have wanted, apparently. I think I can fix that (it's just a single scene, and I had that semi-planned for something else), but it will mean my otherwise perfect ending is scrapped. That makes two alternate scenes I get to write for you! I'm not an idea-waster.

Honeymoon: Okay, I'll just come out and say this now: Honeymoon's on hiatus. Like no one saw this coming, especially since I'm not updating it next. But fear not, readers, this is a good thing. This fic isn't as well-planned as the other two ongoing ones I have (and geez, I wonder why - I didn't know anything about those two on chapter 1, either). I really want to make this a great and funny fic, and I realised as I started to seriously think of writing chapter 2 that I'd need more time to really figure it out. If I was rushing around trying to update it, and balance two other fics that are somewhat close to competion at the same time, I couldn't do that. So once Clownfish or ED is finished (probably Clownfish), I'll get back to work on this. Hopefully, that'll be this fall or winter (and by that I mean within 2009). Don't worry; there is no chance that this will be dropped - and it's not because I dislike this fic. It's because I like it and want to make it a great fic that I'm putting it aside until I have the time to think of the fic, and not just updating it as fast as possible. You'll get it. So be patient, please, and thank you.

The Short Story Collection: I actually had some ideas for this, so I might revise it at some point and post part II. But then again, I might not. On the other hand, some newly introduced characters might have potential...

Middle Ground: I don't think anyone is actually reading this. I don't hate it, though. If I get over my lack of motivation for other things, I might write this. (Chapter 4: Zero. I have another white-haired boy to love and pair up. But maybe I'll get to this eventually.) And god no, it isn't because I don't like Inuyasha. I still like Inuyasha. I just think this idea is moronic.

Future Works: By this I mean fics that I have started but not posted because there aren't any whole chapters. Not ALL my ideas. (Updated May 1st, 2009)

D.Gray-Man:

Pairings: Allen Walker x Lenalee Lee, Noise Marie x Miranda Lotte, Komui Lee x Hevlaska

Untitled: After the final battle, Komui and Lenalee return to China, bringing the now-homeless Allen with them. This follows their life until the end. (I'll write this after ED is done.)

Untitled (working title: Moonlight Legend, but come on, I'm not gonna name a fic that!): Allen risked being later than usual to class in order to save a strange-looking golden creature. He didn't expect to be repaid by becoming a hero destined to save the world... in a miniskirt. (Sailor Moon-based AU, Allen x Lenalee. Yes, I'm seriously writing this.)

The Secretive Lotus Flower: Well, he'd gone and made an akuma out of a servant in the forest. The solution? Send a daughter to break the spell of the evil beast. Except the Earl would rather send off his least favourite son than his precious daughter, and Allen isn't going to marry any strange man that he can't even tolerate, even to save the flirtatious servant Lavi's beautiful girlfriend. Chaos ensues. Reverse characters get cameos. Alternate Universe. (The first chapter is maybe... about halfway complete. AllenxLenalee)

Love Song: Lenalee, an idol whose fame is quickly growing, encounters a fan on the street... and, with a group of friends, decide to go for coffee. A relationship develops. Unbeknownst to her, however, Allen isn't unfamiliar with the music business himself - after all, he's a member of a newly debuted Johnny's Jimusho group... (AU, AllenxLenalee - obviously. Chapter 1: has been started, but needs serious revision. This'll be the THIRD time I change the setting - 2007, 2008, and 2009 looks like what it'll be for now.)

Days: A touching tale of unrequited love at Christmas, both in late-Victorian England and modern-day New York City. (Half-DGM-Universe, half-AU. Allen x Lenalee)

Rescue: The rescue team of a firefighting division encounters a difficult situation. (Songfic for the KAT-TUN song of the same name, AU Allen x Lenalee. Full of Engrish!)

I have a lot of ongoing oneshots, like three that are more realistic takes on an AllenxLenalee relationship (one is comedy and the other two are somewhat angsty, with happy endings). Then there's the Timcanpy one. I'd really like to finish these before I work on much more because I do have SO many.

Inuyasha:

(Pairings: Inuyasha x Kagome, Miroku x Sango, Sesshoumaru x Kagura)

Seasons: What really happened to Izayoi. It has nothing to do with any of the movies. The pairing(s) should be obvious. (Prologue: 37 complete, although it may be closer to completion. Chapter 1: 10 complete) Note: Pure speculation.

Bleach:

(Pairings: Kurosaki Ichigo x Kuchiki Rukia)

Title in progress - some pun about failing: An unusual ronin captures the attention of a young librarian, but her competition, an aspiring but likewise failing manga-ka, may have more in common with the mysterious man.

Crossovers:

Untitled: In a world where crime - organized and otherwise - roams unchecked, and demons walk the streets, a number of high school students struggle to survive both the horrors of the world around them, and the social realm of adolescent life. (Canon pairings - Allen/Lenalee, Inuyasha/Kagome, Miroku/Sango, Sesshoumaru/Kagura, Mari/Miranda... and possibly Kanda/Kikyou if I can write it :3)
