Author has written 18 stories for Final Fantasy VII, X-overs, Mortal Engines Quartet, Pokémon, Twilight, and Shakespeare. Hey, To get right to the point, I doubt I'll be writing fanfic for a while. I'm leaving my fics up here for the time being because, although I'm not too keen on my ol' writing, my fics aren't the heartfelt variety, so they don't make me cringe as much as the original, NEVER TO BE SEEN IN PUBLIC nonsense on my old XP harddrive, and I appreciate that other people may like 'em a lot better than I do. So they're up here for other people to peruse, enjoy, despise, whatever, which I reckon is the whole point of fanfic. On the other hand, it's reached a stage where I COMPLETELY WANT TO REWORK EVERYTHING ROAR, but I don't have the time or the inclination to do it, and I think it would be pretty disingenuous of me to pretend that I'm going to put up new chapters 'soon'. If I start writing fics again, I think I'll either take the stuff down from here first, or I'll use a different pseudonym; both approaches have their merits and flaws. (I don't think it's fair to leave never-to-be-finished multichapter fics up unless I put a great big 'THIS ACCOUNT IS A WHISPERING HUSK OF ITS FORMER SELF' on the profile page, but then that's problematic if I choose to write new fics :P). I could do a list of the fics which will never be updated, but from what I've seen on my travels to others' accounts, such lists frequently get ignored... SO HMMM. So there you have it. I'm contemplating possible solutions to what I perceive as the greatest dilemma of the age, and I hope to discover a good one, but knowing me, it'll take a while. Tschüss! :) | |||||||
