Author has written 19 stories for Torchwood, Blakes 7, and Doctor Who.

I'm an old(ish) scientist who remembers Blake's 7 the first time around, thought Tom Baker was THE Doctor (until David Tennant appeared and gave him a run for his money - David has the edge) and has recently rediscovered writing fan fiction in my non-existent spare time.

I'm a Yorkshire lass with a husband and 6 year old daughter who is named after a character from one of my favourite Sci-Fi shows (don't worry she won't be ashamed to use it as an adult, I'm not cruel).

And what do I watch? Well, currently the DVD cabinet is bursting at the seams with (in no particular order):

Alias
Babylon 5
X-Files
Doctor Who (just the new Who but a big fan of the old stuff too)
Torchwood (even CoE Days 4 and 5 which I am tempted to deny the existence of but can't. Miracle Day on the other hand has been firmly consigned to oblivion)
Blake's 7 (hey I'm British so sue me)
Firefly (great series gone too soon - loved Serenity but killing Wash - almost as shocking as killing Ianto in TW)
Farscape (The finest example of angst in Sci-Fi although CoE is giving it good competition)
Battlestar Galactica (the new one)
Life on Mars (the UK one, I couldn't get my head around the American version - Philip Glenister is the only Gene Hunt)
Ashes to Ashes (OMG, what an ending...)
Sherlock - the new BBC series written by Steven Moffatt and Mark Gatiss - utter genius!
Fringe

I'm seriously into Torchwood at the moment (hence the story Purpose in All Things and its sequels) and am loving Steven Moffat's take on the eleventh Doctor (MS makes a brilliant Doctor but for me I still think DT was the One). I just want to put my two-pennyworth in about the 'RTD killing Ianto off/Gwen is fireproof' debate. I can see why he did it. I don't like that he did it. But I can see why he did. Without RTD there would have been no Torchwood, no Jack, no Ianto and no new Who so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. It annoys me Gwen is seemingly untouchable but RTD has said in the past that Torchwood is actually about Gwen's journey so if Gwen goes I guess Torchwood would go too and I'm not ready to let go yet. Update - After watching the travesty that was Miracle Day, I'm finally ready to let go of canon and live in an AU instead!

B.T.W. I've got all of the TW audio books/plays on my ipod at the mo. The Sin Eaters read by Gareth David-Lloyd is phenomenal, as is In the Shadows read by Eve Myles (give it a chance, you'll never be able to hear 'Ring-a-ring-a-roses' without shivering again. And Jack in hell - oh god). But the pinnacle of Torchwood drama is the audio play The Dead Line. If you are a big Janto fan (and let's face it who isn't) don't listen to this while driving - you will crash the car as you sob your heart out at Ianto's speech! You have been warned... And if you don't heed that warning heed this one, if The Dead Line made you cry The House Of The Dead will turn your heart inside out and wring every last tear from you... James Goss, thank you for knowing exactly what words will make me weep and not being afraid to write them! And to John and Gareth for knowing exactly how to say them.

Currently I'm working on... (when I get a moment between work and being a mum!)

Torchwood

Canon- In timeline and recommended reading order
- - - - -

Possession - A drabble about what it is to be loved that came to me in the wee small hours when I couldn't sleep. Could be set anytime in season 2 or beyond really - Complete

A Mark of Humanity - Another late night drabble, this time from Ianto's POV, about the thing he would miss most about Jack. Could be set anytime in season 2 or beyond - Complete

An Unacceptable Risk? - A (hopefully) humourous one-shot set somewhere in the middle of series 2. Jack has to make a decision which will affect the whole team. Just what is he willing to risk? - Complete

Recollections In Ruby And Black - A four-part story centering on Tosh and Owen. Set after 'A Day in the Death' - Complete

Recollections In Ruby And Black: Coda - A one-shot follow up to Recollections In Ruby And Black which also links up the canon timeline with my PIAT AU- Complete.

The Life Line - A one-shot dealing with Jack's thought's in the waking coma as he listened to Ianto's impassioned speech during the audio play 'The Dead Line'. - Complete

Ultraviolet - A part monster-of-the-week, part Janto angst-and-fluff fest set just before CoE. Contains events mentioned in Purpose In All Things - Complete.

Purpose In All Things (PIAT) AU - In timeline and recommended reading order
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Purpose In All Things - A post CoE fix-it which sees Jack and Ianto reunited (of course, otherwise it wouldn't be a fix it) - but how is the Doctor involved, and why is Donna Noble about to save the world yet again? This will also set up my AU for some later fics. - Complete

Purpose In All Things: Tapestry of Words - The missing story of Jack, Donna and John Hart from PIAT told as a series of letters. Coming soon.

Purpose In All Things: Your Move - Jack's dead... again, and Ianto is trapped with something large, winged and lethal. Just your average Torchwood day then... A one-shot set about six weeks after the end of Purpose in All Things - Complete

Purpose In All Things: Slippery Things, Tomatoes - What happens when Ianto discovers the reality of his new existence? A fluffy little one-shot - Complete

Purpose In All Things: Downstream - It's Jack and Ianto's first wedding anniversary and Ianto has a surprise for Jack - a chance to discover the other love of Ianto's life. Unashamed fluff especially written for Ravenja70 - Complete

Purpose In All Things: The War Of The Roses (Title TBC) - A probable one shot dealing with the ramifications of the organisation of the Ianto Williams and Sian Harkness wedding. Gwen Williams and Donna Harkness (nee Noble) go head to head as mothers of the groom and bride respectively, with added Sylvia Noble for effect! A Jack and Ianto Harkness-Jones intervention will be required... In progress. Still on hold due to damned writer's block!

Purpose In All Things: A Glimpse Of The Abyss - A bleak little one-shot piece set in the post-Purpose universe about Jack. Can't give many details or it will spoil ending to Purpose for those who haven't read it yet. - Complete.

Plus, a whole battery of random plot ideas set in the post-Purpose Universe featuring Jack and Ianto Harkness-Jones, Sian Harkness and the team of Torchwood 2032. - Still in development.

Legacy: I Didn't Know... - Another short companion piece to Legacy looking at Vila and Avon's relationship this time from Avon's POV - Complete

Also to the wonderful individual who nominated Purpose In All Things for a Children of Time Award I send huge thanks and big hugs. It's a real honour and I'm dead chuffed!
