I have had a long and tumultuous affair with fanfiction. I have written lots of it in the past. I don't have an extensive educational background in creative writing, other than extracurriculars, but I have been doing it for a long time, and have a portfolio of sorts full of poems and bits and pieces of prose, outside of whatever amount of fanfiction I have written since middle school.

Currently I am writing a Twilight story partly out of morbid interest in Jasper and Alice, and partly in interest of stress relief. The story gives me a bit of focus outside of work, and is turning out to be a great exercise in storytelling. I am not a Twilight fan, but I do consider myself a lulzfan; enjoyed the movie for the camp that it was, could not read past the first book. However, I have been enjoying some of its fanfiction, especially AU/AH and reiterations therein. Rpattz continues to baffle and horrify me, even though I thankfully stopped having nightmares about his ratty hair.

Pieces:

Started as a porn without plot but has since become a bit of a re-imagining as well as a character study, taking off from the movie continuity. I snark--constructively--about some of my "issues" with Twilight. Here's a good example: Nobody sparkles!!

UPDATE: I bought the 2-disc Twilight DVD and am literally afraid to watch it because I'm scared that the additional exposure to Rpattz will make me lose my mind.
