Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, and Fairy Tales. "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate" Greetings. My name is Eleanor Shearer, more commonly known as Ellie, and I am a mere 13 years old. I am geeky, bookish, crazy, hopefully polite, eccentric and very British. I have a tendency to correct anyone and everyone if they are wrong (just ask my Geography teacher) and I am perfectly able to argue a point. That pretty much sums me up I think, so if you have a very short attention span, you can stop reading what is sure to turn into a short autobiography right now. Thank god for that, eh? Yes, so, factually I am 13 and I go to City of London School for Girls. Funnily enough, this is a school in London, England. I have a number of zany friends there. I also enjoy doing things outside of school, although, due to the teachers' diabolical scheme to take over the world by using more than the allotted time when they set us homework, such moments of freedom are rare. I play the piano and the guitar, walk my dog, do ballet, ice-skate, attend out of school mathematics functions (yes, you read that right. I told you I was eccentric) dance around my bedroom like a lunatic, write stories in notebooks and spend a large portion of my life on the Internet. I am the eldest of two girls, live in a maisonette with my bohemian parents (this means that they have non-office jobs i.e. actor/writer/freelance journalist etc., this does not mean that they are from Bohemia. They are in fact from Scotland and the Caribbean respectively). I have a very large, black, bear-like dog and two cats. This is the great extent of my existence outside the world wide web. I am a self confessed Harry Potter nerd. Not only can I quote the books, the films and most of the Potter Puppet Pals YouTube videos off by heart, I can also quote numerous fanfictions. However, I must state now that I am NOT a fan of the films, except perhaps the first two - where the actors had the cuteness factor that masked their lack of talent - and the sixth one. I might as well say too that, in my opinion, Daniel Radcliffe cannot act, Rupert Grint has at least some talent, and Emma Watson is really quite good but makes a spectacularly bad Hermione. I discovered the Harry Potter On-line Fandom through a most incredible site called www.veritaserum.com (check it out NOW), and the majority of my stories will have originated there. Here is a little excerpt from my Veritaserum profile: Harry Potter wise, I'm in Ravenclaw (self-chosen not sorted), I'm most like Lily Potter and my boyfriend is Seamus Finnegan (don't ask me why, I don't know!). As for my Harry Potter favourite things (these are listed in no particular order)... Favourite characters: Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa Malfoy, Andromeda Tonks, Lucius Malfoy, Dobby, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Hermione Granger (I think she's a lot like me), Ronald Weasley (he's hilarious!), Lord Voldemort (so evil) and Alastor Moody. There are thousands of others that I like as well, but not as much as the ones listed here. It's a VERY close race though. Favourite ships: Favourite Quidditch team: Holyhead Harpies (girl power!) Favourite Quidditch position: Chaser or Keeper. Favourite quotes: Too many to count. Favourite book: All of them There are a lot of exclamations marks in that quote. It may possibly be because of my constantly changing personality. For example, right now I am channelling SeriousAndGramaticallyCorrectGirl. This could change at any moment, so be warned... This inconsistency is possibly the result of too much Harry Potter role-play. My favourite stories are humorous ones. I love nothing more than a good laugh, and rest assured that I can take a joke. Occasionally I read warm fuzzy fics that make you go 'awww' and can sometimes like those as well. Only one fanfiction has ever made me cry, and that is 10 Things You Never Knew About The HP Characters, listed on my favourites. I also love stories that are centred around 'evil' characters (Slytherins, etc.) and nothing on Earth can beat a good parody. May I just take the time to say that I neither love nor hate Twilight. I think Bella is a Mary Sue of the worst degree and Edward is in fact a rather creepy stalker as opposed to a protective lover, and I dislike Meyer's writing style, but I have nothing against people who like it. It has it's redeeming qualities. I bid thee farewell, Internet dwellers. If you are a fellow Potterhead, I salute you. Have a nice day.
