“Nutterfly” – that’s a nut who loves butterflies…or maybe a crazy person who thinks her writing can fly! Actually, I’m a woman in her mid-50’s.

Trying to make lemonade from the lemons life’s handed me, I began writing as a creative outlet about 4 years ago. Short sci-fi stories are my preference (they can be found at fictionpress.com). Then I discovered the fan-fiction contest for the LeapBack2009 convention held in March, 2009. “What, me write a Quantum Leap story?” I asked myself. And answered, “Well, you could try! You’re certainly a big fan of the show.” Having never before been brave enough to submit any of my stories to strangers to be judged, I was thrilled to have taken 8th place with “The Logical Leap”. Not bad for the first time out.

Life – and other stories – continued, but I’d thought that was my one shot at fan-fiction. Then I got the Idea for a new story. Which means I’ll probably get more ideas in the future, but in the meantime I figured I ought to post a bio, of sorts.

I’ve only recently realized there is such a wealth of wonderful Quantum Leap stories here, and haven’t had time to sample more than a few. Perhaps because I’m not yet aware of the fan-fictional conventions pertaining to events after the show ended, I tend to write pre-Mirror Image stories. I also write with the assumption that the reader is a fan and knows what’s happened on the show.
