July 28, 2009 - Overdue update from the purveyor Subdued Insanity!

As may be clear by the lack of updates or new material, I've been greatly distracted by other projects. For a time, I was making a sprite-comic, "In Search of Ritalin," which I have also since stopped updating, though in that case it was largely due to losing all of my sprite materials with a computer crash and a corrupted flash-drive. After that, I was working more on my writings for Kupopolis (which can be found at that name plus .com), before that, too, stalled.

A couple of years ago, I got into e-fedding, after swearing for years that I wouldn't go into it. I really enjoyed it, giving a vent, of sorts, to my wrestling-inspired creativity that was just easier to crank out on a regular basis, and I had some good success at it, too. But with my e-fed drive flagging, I've started getting inspiration for some of my older projects here.

I'm sorry to say that I'm taking down some of my incomplete works, or at least declaring here and now that many of them simply will not be finished.

"Sliver," my fanfic for The Incredibles, won't be finished, and I've taken it down because I just had too many ideas and just not enough substance to any of them. I may return to it later, but for the here-and-now, it's done.

There will not be a third "Stranger" story for my Batman Beyond fanfics. While I did like the idea of exploring some of The Stranger's backstory like I'd been planning, I like the character more as just this mysterious thief-for-hire with no identity to attach to him.

My wrestling stories chronicling the story of "The Storm" Matthew Skinner won't be continued, sadly. "The Counter Invasion" will stand as-is, but I likely will not be updating it, barring some miraculous surge of creativity and enthusiasm. But until and unless I finish "The Counter Invasion," its planned continuation, "The Era of Agony," is dead before it even gets in the water.

"The Nowhere Man," meanwhile, I'm taking down and won't be finishing. When I re-adapted it for TNA Wrestling, TNA was genuinely semi-watchable and I had high hopes for it. But I've since grown disgusted with the real-life product and simply can't associate the character with it. There are no plans to re-re-adapt it for WWE again.

As for "Forging the Will," my fanfic based on The Matrix, I'm happy to report I've gotten a little bit of a re-surge in creativity for it after watching the 10th Anniversary Blu-Ray of the first movie. You may note, however, that I've taken down the story. I'm going to be re-writing it a little bit, so that the quality of writing stays at least somewhat consistent all the way through.

There's another project I've been tweaking a little bit, fiddling with as I get inspiration and energy that doesn't go to other sources. I won't say what it is, since I want to finish at least the first "installment" before I upload any of it. I also have to ask someone if they're cool with my posting it when it's done, since it involves some of their ideas and characters.

If you've never read any of my stuff, or have read it and thought it sucked... well, that begs the question of why you're even here.
