Author has written 9 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers, Harry Potter, and Artemis Fowl.
"Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts.
Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts.
Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me...
Anything can happen, child. Anything can be."
I enjoy writing because I can control my own little world. There is nothing like reading a book, thinking of every alternate universe imaginable, and then putting it down on paper (or the computer, now). It's pretty awesome.
Hopefully my update schedule will not be too irregular. I tend to go on a writing binge over the holidays and put down stuff in advance so that I can keep putting my chapters even if I'm really busy. (Is it just me, or do all teachers for some reason seem to conspire to pile on all of their projects, tests, and essays due at the same time? It's just weird!)
I try to get things down once a week. It depends on how I feel. If my chapters seem a little short, I might make it a little earlier, and if I've just uploaded a long chapter, it may be a little slower.
One thing that keeps me going is reviews. I may get a lot of traffic, but reviews show me who is genuinely interested. If more people review, I may decide to start writing more, and hopefully get a chapter in sooner than normal. Also, I enjoy hearing what others have to say about my writing - it helps me improve. Different opinions and interpretations give more diversity in a story, and helps maintain the personality of many characters - especially the really complicated ones.
Try not to PM me because as much as I appreciate it, I don't check my inbox much. I don't check the email I use for this account, either, because I'm normally quite bogged down with schoolwork and only check the really important stuff from classes and alerts from clubs and activites on my main email. I usually go over the review pages of my latest story instead because it's much faster - all of the stuff that needs to be said is on one page, rather than logging in, and clicking the tabs, et cetera.
So, if you have something to say, just plop it on my latest story's review page. If it's really personal or if you don't feel that it pertains to my story much, just add that in a postscript at the end of a review so that I actually know to go look for a PM.
There's not much to say after this, so cheerio!
- anything chocolate related
- trolls (The funny ones, at least)
- funny things
- stupidly funny things
I don't like:
- bad grammar
- Simply stupid things
- And I especially don't like good action/adventure stories that end up getting bogged down with mushy pairings just for the sake of fanservice.
My new story is King of Serpents, an Artemis Fowl/Harry Potter crossover! It's my first crossover, but I've had this idea in my head for ages. I mean, in the last book, Harry could not have gone into the entire fiasco any less unprepared. Seriously, all he did was throw tantrums, get in arguments, jump to conclusions, and narrow scrapes because of luck and because Hermione is just that awesome. She saved his hide so many times...
I'm getting off-topic here. Moving on.
I'm trying to keep Artemis in-character, while putting him in an alternate universe where he's actually a wizard...uh-oh! Watch out, world! Don't worry, though - our fairies will still be involved, as well as the Golden Trio, the Slytherin gang, and dear Voldycakes and his merry band of thieves...I mean death eaters.
Extra background, for those of you who are curious:
I've also put a twist on Artemis' situation. I'm surprised no one has done this before (or if they have, I don't see it) but Artemis is a descendant of Herpo the Foul (Fowl, Foul...same difference). To make things clear, he doesn't know this yet. Tom Riddle didn't find out he was the Heir of Slytherin until his 5th or 6th year. His mother knows but won't tell him because she's scared about what the world will think of him (he already creeps people out without Parseltongue) and his father would have told him but he won't be rescued until the summer between 1st and 2nd year.
I hope that wasn't too much of a spoiler. But you would have seen it coming, if you read the AF books, right? Right?
Thanks to Artemis actually having magic, many of the events in his life will proceed more quickly. Thanks to magic having Artemis, many of the events from Harry Potter will also proceed more quickly. The timeline should otherwise stay fairly unchanged.
Year 1: King of Serpents is completed.
Year 1.5: King of Serpents: Summer of Ice is completed.
Year 2: King of Serpents: Chamber of Secrets is posted and in-progress.
