Author has written 5 stories for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries. I'm an avid reader, but resisted Twilight because I thought it sounded...silly. I made fun of my friends. Mocked them. And then I finally relented one rainy day and cracked open Twilight. Couldn't put it down and stayed up all night reading it. Read the other 3 in quick succession. I downloaded the movie and watched it. Made my husband watch it. Made my co-workers watch it. Made my mom and dad watch it. Read the books again - twice. Watched the movie probably another 80 times. (note from 4/19 - I watched it for the first time in over a year a couple of weeks ago. Wow. It's terrible. I've ben apologizing to everybody I made watch it.) And then I thought I'd see what all the True Blood fuss was about. Couldn't get through the shows on iTunes fast enough - I loved Bill and Sookie together and couldn't wait to see season 2. I practially cried tears of joy when I realized it was based on a series of books. I plowed through the first book and loved Bill. Second book...liked Bill. But then Dead to the World happened, and Alan Ball cut Alexander Skarsgard's hair and dressed him in track suit and Bill was finally dead to me. And so was Edward. I'm putty in Charlaine Harris' hands. She's played me like a violin. Have you seen her interviewed? I love her. I really do. But a year is a long time to wait for another installment so I've been really happy to discover fan fiction. Terri Botta's Let Love In was my introduction and I was hooked. I've totally fallen in love with the all human stories. So many great writers and interesting ideas out there. I'm constantly amazed by the imaginative fics.
