Update: I figured out the green thing at long last Slytherin FavoriteLiterary Characters: Number one would have to be dear Erik, better known to the world as "The Phantom of the Opera". How I love that man. I prefer his literary incarnations to his cinimatic and theatrical ones, however. Hmmm... Lizzie from "Pride and Prejudice" - and please, not the Keira Knightly version. Anything but that. Oh, and while we're hanging out in Austin Land, Mr. Darcy from the same book, was also very tasty. Severus Snape from the "Harry Potter" series. He is sexy, no? Oh and Lily Evans-Potter. I am a true Snape/Lilly shipper. Ummm... Oh, and Sophie from "The DaVinci Code". I felt that she really wanted to be more of a character, but was limited by her creater. Poor Sophie, if only Mr. Brown could have had the talent to truly flesh her out. I think it is the potential in her that I liked. Perhaps I will have to explore that. Favorite FanFictions - Ahhh, here is where I could go on for hours. There are four authors that I must mention here, for I feel that they are remarkably brilliant, and I would recommend reading everything they have or ever will write. The first is Gondolier. If you have not already discovered "Fraternite", then you must read it immediately. It is almost finished, and is, in my opinion, the most brilliant POTO fanficiton out there. This author is a genius and should be published. Number two is nativedreamer. "Night to Day" is a subtle and well-woven tale that has kept me enthralled from the first chapter. The author has a depth of understanding of the human nature and condition that is unrivaled in fanfiction. You will not be disappointed. Third, Wandering Child. I adore all of her stories, as they are so well written and wrought with tension and emotion. Finally, stefanie bean, whose story, "Phantoms of the Past" is possibly the most mature and professional work on this or any other fanfiction website. The woman really should be published! I look forward to purchasing her story in book form some day. I am also currently looking for some decent Harry Potter fan fiction. We all know that there is a ton of it out there, but it is so hard to find any that is really well written and convincing. I'm not interested in smut, though I am not adverse to adult content in the context of a well-written story, I just don't want smut for smut's sake. I am also open to almost any pairing. You just have to be a good enough writer to convince me of the validity and possibility of it. If you have anything to suggest, please send me a message. I will be eternally grateful! My Stories: The only stories I currently have posted are some X-Files fics I wrote in university. I had a POTO fic posted here, but took it down because I was highly dissatisfied with it. Any new stories I post here will be POTO, unless something else comes along to totally enrapture me. My POTO fics are literary based. I hated the 2005 movie, and though the musical introduced me to the story,requiring me to hold some semblance of reverence for it, I am not overly impressed with it either. It is Leroux or Kay for me, as well as influences I have inevitably picked up from the above mentioned fanfiction writers. Update: The Lily/Severus Harry Potter fic is finally here!! Hooray. It is definitely AU, so if you don't like that sort of thing then you probably won't like this, but then again it is Lily/Severus and what's not to like about that! I have gone through alot of personal loss the last couple of years and this story definitely addresses that theme. It was sort of a cathartic way for me to move through it. I was going to wait until the whole thing was finished to post, but I have had alot of people asking for me to post it, and since it swiftly became apparent that it wasn't going to stop at 10-15 chapters, but rather stretch out to 40 or 50, I decided to start posting a chapter at the time. I will try to update regularly, as I know how frustrating it can be to have to wait long periods between updates, but I have just been promoted at work, so am also quite busy there right now.
