Hello all! I don't really know what to write, except I am practically in LOVE with the Twilight Saga. Edward and Bella so belong together!

More, you say? Well, the name's Amy (though I'm thinking of changing it to Alice... lol jk) I'm just a poor, starving Christian girl/grad student who is working toward teaching music. I LOVE movies!! (but definitely NOT the crap that Summit has been making with Twilight.) And reading! Cantando es mi vida, and I am madly in love with my wonderful husband Andrew! If you're dying to know more, go aheah and ask!

I'm all about quality and taste when it comes to stories (and pretty much everything), so that's all you'll find in my Favorites. As far as writing goes, due to the sweet encouragement of my husband, I have started my first ficCrown Games!

*CHAPTER 30* (as of 3/20/13): Still no update. You have no idea how sorry I am for that. Really. Hope you'll forgive me. Love to all of you who are sticking with me. Update should be up before the end of the month!! :D

Note on completion: For those wondering, I've had some time to add more detail to my outline, and now it looks like CG will actually be around 39-40 chapters in totality (or less, if I put more in each chapter), and a possible epilogue (haven't decided yet). So yeah, about eleven more chapters left, depending on how they actually play out. Thanks for sticking with me this far!

My Breaking Dawn (Part I) Movie Rant:

First of all, let me just say that I am by no means a “purist” and stupidly think that the movies should be the book exactly. Of course I realize that things have to be cut or rearranged because it just won’t work for the big screen. And although there were a few things that I liked about the movie (brevity of the sex scene [yes, I believe sex is something private and not for gawking at, Bella preparing for the wedding night, Edward’s struggle with her pregnancy, Charlie/Bella moments, how it ended), they cannot blot out the HORRIBLE overall impact of everything else.

-The acting was just bad and forced most of the time (who doesn’t smile on their wedding day until her ex-love shows up? And yes, KS did NOT smile except for Jacob and the toasts. Sad.).

-The pacing of the movie was either too fast (rushed through scenes) or too slow (how long do I have to watch her blank face while he’s doing CPR? More awkward than suspenseful).

-Most of the music was in weird places, not going along with the emotion of the scene.

-Almost every scene with the wolves felt shallow, and I’m really sick of these people using them as some kind of “dumb brute” threat against the Cullens.

-Also tired of them making Jacob into this “amazing” hero at the end of each movie (with exception to the first), because he stops the fighting like he’s the Messiah and wants everyone to get along. I mean, I know he kinda is the rescuer in this part of the story, but I’m sorry, the ridiculousness of the wolves surrounding the Cullen property and then attacking them (and somewhat winning?!) is just stupid.

-They always make the Cullens look weaker than they are, too (Still not over the “fight” at the end of NM movie). It’s like they forget that Edward can read minds or that the Cullens can move much faster than the wolves. Sigh. Don’t even get me started about Alice on the ground screaming like she’s helpless. Ugh.

-Also, what was up with the weirdness of Jacob’s imprint vision? To indirectly quote the books, he doesn’t think of Renesmee as a woman, he just wants her to be happy. So why have him “see” her as older, if that’s the case?

-Overall, the main point in all this is that I just really don’t like how they change the characters themselves by making them do/say things that doesn’t fit their character. Edward is never happy, Bella only smiles around Jacob and her dad, and is awkward and uncomfortable when with Edward, Jacob comes out as the “peacemaker” or “hero” and takes other people’s lines in the books to make him seem more reasonable than he is, and the rest of the Cullens and Quileutes are basically background conflict or comic relief without any real purpose beyond that. And that’s not only the director and people behind the camera, but the actors, too. For the most part, the cast is fine with two exceptions: Bella (KS CANNOT act, she’s the same in all of her movies) and Rosalie (mainly because she doesn’t look like Rose. Sorry, but being friends with the first director should not be the reason you get hired).

Oh! And I how did I forget to mention that ridiculous wedding dress! I mean really... Alice or no Alice, Bella would never wear that. Ugh.
