Poll: What is the next story that Streamingwords should start working on after the conclusion of From the Ashes? Vote Now! |
Author has written 6 stories for Big Bang Theory, Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Final Fantasy VII. The Author’s Corner Online Penname: Streamingwords – both on fanfiction.net and livejournal (though I hardly use the latter). Current Obsession: Axis Powers: Hetalia Hobbies: Writing, sleeping, working, ghost-hunting (on occasion), playing video games. Sometimes writing when I should be sleeping and working when I would rather be writing. Location: The state of Oregon, nestled in the rainy Pacific Northwest of the United States. Interests: Authors/Series: Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles/Mayfair Witches, Poppy Z. Brite, Stephen King, Charlaine Harris, Laurell K. Hamilton (before it became pure porn), J.K. Rowling, Jeff Lindsay, Clive Barker Television: Dexter, Ghost Hunters, Big Bang Theory, Criss Angel’s Mindfreak, Destination Truth, Glee (it’s entertaining!) Movies: Too many to list. Oddly, I will read horror without any trouble, but I cannot stomach horror films for some reason. Music: I have a very strange music collection, full of artists across all genres. Whenever I write I normally just turn on random and see what it spews out. Though my ultimate beloved band is Pink Floyd. Anime/Mangas: Axis Powers: Hetalia, Hetalia: World Series, Saiyuki, Trinity Blood, Ouran High School Host Club, Spiral, Godchild, Descendants of Darkness, Knight Hunters, Death Note, Loveless, Angel Sanctuary, Wild Adapter, Kyo Kara Maoh, DN Angel -- and random yaoi if it has good art Random Facts/Questions/Observations: I love Yoo-Hoo drinks. I could drink four of them in one sitting. Then feel bad about it. I play World of Warcraft. After becoming familiar with Hetalia, I play it now simply to hear foreigners with accents speak online because foreign accents are hot. (Especially since I run around with Canadians, French-Canadians and New Zealanders. Ohhhhhh yeah!) God, I wish I could draw! My problem is that my imagination is very vivid – I tend to visualize what I write in my head as though it were a film first. I have tried in the past to sketch it out in my head because I would very much like to see my work as a real piece of art – when I do, I end up with nothing better than glorified stick figures. For the past few years I have been telling myself that I will one day sit down and write out one of the original works that is in my head. Then I slack off and write more fanfiction. But every piece of writing helps me to become better at the craft! One day soon I may find the focus and determination to realize that dream. I have no beta. Honestly, I need one. I am my worst critic despite knowing that I should go a little easier on myself. Just having someone there to tell me, “Stop worrying, you paranoid idiot, this is fine!” would suffice. Once I have written down a segment of text, I never delete it. There are several unfinished bits that have/had the potential for stories sitting in my documents folder. It’s just a weird quirk. I suppose there’s always a chance that they might become something substantial one day. Confession: I give scenes in my writing soundtracks. Certain scenes are scored in my head so that they follow a certain rhythm. That’s probably because I never write anything until I have music playing – it sets the mood for me. Other story concepts/ideas: These are the following stories that I have been considering working on. Due to my indecisiveness, I will leave it up to my readers to decide what I will work on after the conclusion of From the Ashes! Story One – “Specimen A”. Genre: Romance/Adventure. Following up after the events of From the Ashes. The nations are well on the road to recovery. Tony the alien decides that it is time to move into the next phase of his research. This spells trouble when he forces Alfred to undergo a certain… change. Also featuring clueless Arthur, weary Canada and more international chaos than one can shake a stick at. Story Two – [Title Undecided]. Genre: Futuristic/Sci-Fi/Tragedy/Adventure. Set in a far off future after Russia succeeds in making the world become one. This is still in the concept phase, though chunks of it are fleshed out. Surprisingly, the story would actually come from the viewpoint of Sealand. Russia has torn the world apart – literally – and the nations wage war in entirely new ways against each other. The Russian Empirical Alliance dominates the world – but is constantly tested by the rebellious Euro-Asian Union. A lot of fighting, angst, evil!America(?). Story Three -- “Empire’s End”. Genre: Angst/Family. As the world becomes unstable even the largest empires will inevitably fall. America is no longer the king of the world, as he finds his place in the world slipping away faster and faster. This is the story of what happens when an empire not only falls – it collapses completely. What will happen when a forgotten nation has to step up to fill its place? Features America, Canada, child!America. Story Four – “Hetalia: Battleship”. Genre: Humor/Adventure. This is a short piece purely inspired by a ridiculous idea. America decides during his turn hosting the Conference that he will engage the other nations in an unorthodox method of team-building exercises. Arthur, under far too much pressure, goes a little mad – with some unexpected, humorous results. Featuring Pirate!Arthur and international chaos. | |||||||
