I’m going to try and make this short. Once upon a time (that time being November 29, 2009), there was a twelve-year-old boy whose head was bare and full of air, dead flies and bits of fluff. He wanted to write fanfiction for the Mysterious Benedict Society series, and when he discovered Fanfiction.Net and its MBS archive, he decided to join the fun. Because he was a few tacos short of a fiesta platter, he named himself "GreatKateZonkeyMachine" (if you don’t get it, don’t ask). Today I’m fifteen, and I’m a much better writer and more mature than I was in my early days of FF. If you come across any old leavings of mine that seem immature/obtuse/obnoxious, all I ask is that you don’t think of my present-day self based on them. Reading and writing are things I enjoy, and fanfiction is great because it's non-profit: we write purely for the joy of writing, reading, and being read. Of course, 95% of fanfiction is crap...but you get the sentiment. Newsflash: Yo dawgs. I just read A Separate Peace and IT MADE ME DEEPLY UNHAPPY. In other news, I continue to slowly, slowly write my fics. Nomansland seems to be in the lead. OTHER STUFF I SHOULD PROBABLY TELL YOU I beta, even though I don’t have a beta profile. My community is dead. If you ever come across a reference to somebody named "The-b00k-was-better", it means me. I had…let’s call it an identity crisis. Back to the Forest, The Fugitives, and The Paradox are currently on hiatus because they currently suck. Nomansland is in limbo because Kahlan dropped off the face of the Earth. Third Island is not very well-written (some of it, anyway), but it was my first fic ever so I’m not changing it. It may not look like it, but I’m working on stuff.
