Author has written 27 stories for Supernatural, Inuyasha, and CSI. Here I include a permanent disclaimer in case I forget to add it to individual stories. None of the worlds I play in or their characters belong to me. I should be so lucky. Or so rich. Favorite TV shows: Supernatural (can't live without my Winchesters), CSI (Vegas and NY only), Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, Star Trek (all except the cheesiest Original Series episodes), and a few classic series like Quincy, Emergency, MacGyver, and The Monkees. Just added NCIS. Abby rocks!! Favorite movies: LOTR trilogy, the Die Hard series, Indiana Jones 1 and 3 (and hopefully 4), Transformers, and the first two Harry Potters (the later ones are too different from the books for my taste). Favorite manga and anime: InuYasha, Ranma 1/2, Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Naruto, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Eureka Seven, Gunsmith Cats, and anything by Miyazaki (though Spirited Away is the best of those) Favorite books: LOTR trilogy, Harry Potter series, the China Bayles mysteries by Susan Wittig Albert, the Cat Who series by Lillian Jackson Braun, most books by Anne McCaffrey and Mercedes Lackey, and the new Bewitching Mysteries by Madelyn Alt. Favorite fan fiction: Supernatural, InuYasha, and Ranma 1/2. My all time fave fan fiction authors are MuffyMorrigan for Supernatural (she totally ROCKS!!), TouchofPixieDust for InuYasha, and neonronin for Ranma 1/2 (Truth and the Tempest is fantastic!) So far, I've written for Supernatural (my current uber-obsession) and InuYasha. The story for InuYasha is a completed rough draft just waiting for the final edit before posting (finally started posting that story after finding the file). My multi-chapter SPN is close to completion and I have others in various stages of doneness. Oh, and I am very much a Dean girl through and through. I live for a well written hurt!Dean story, though Dean in protective, big brother mode is great too. And I will never, NEVER write Wincest or death fics. I think I'll post this story on my LJ account soon so the pictures are easier to find. As of July 18, 2009 I've joined the E/O Drabble Challenge. It is a great exercise in minimalist writing, learning not to kill a story with excess words while still getting your point across. Hope I live up to the challenge. Update Feb 2010: Many, MANY apologies to those kind enough to read my work and want to continue to do so. Life has been a bit of a mess, not allowing for much writing time. I've gone back to school to get my Bachelors degree, which hasn't gone as well as expected so far. Work still takes up much time. A friend was diagnosed with testicular cancer about a year ago. He went through chemo. It had no positive effect, even seeming to spread the cancer faster. Middle of last month, the cancer overtook his lungs. He was only 33. On the way home from visiting him one night in hospice I was in a minor car accident. There were no injuries but my car was totaled. But the worst thing happened late on January 1st. On her way home from a friend's house late that night, my niece's car ran out of gas on the Dallas North Tollway. While sitting in her car waiting for someone to come pick her up (another friend who was about 10 minutes away) her car was struck by a drunk driver. She was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead the next night. She was 24. With everything, I haven't been able to concentrate on day to day stuff, much less write. But I hope to get back to it soon, if for no other reason but to escape from my real life. It does help that we definitely have a season 6 and that it will return to its roots and hopefully be more of an inspiration for great stories. Another update Aug 2010: Many apologies to my readers. I never meant for posts to be so few and far between. Real life is still pretty crazy (as it usually is for all of us) and it looks like I'll be moving by the end of this year or beginning of next. I am going to try to complete Monophobia and Perchance to Dream before the major upheaval. *crossing fingers* Thanks to all who've stuck by me even when I wasn't updating. December 1, 2010: One more update before the year is up. Life has finally started to level off a bit. I plan to take this unexpected time until next semester to get back to my writing. I won't finish either of my longer stories this year, but I will update them soon. I'll also try to keep my writing muscles in shape by writing drabbles more regularly. Please bear with me and don't give up on Monophobia or Perchance to Dream. They will have an ending as quickly as possible. January 2012 : Let's just say life has kept me busy and leave it at that. I absolutely have not given up on my poor neglected stories. :( They will get closure. I promise. I have also picked up a new obsession and will probably add Psych stories eventually. They are in my head, but they have to wait in line behind Monophobia and Perchance to Dream. | |||||||
