Born at Zürich, now living at Vienna. Of German mothertongue. Currently working on my PhD in Law at the university of Vienna. As for other things that might (or might not) interest you... here's a couple of random facts for you. :) Political affiliation: A kind of liberal Jacobin, I guess. And a convinced and proud European. My loyalty is to the European Union. Hobbies: Reading, writing, watching movies, playing video games (not much time for that though), sports, having fun with the dog Favourite sports: Sailing, fencing (sabre), football (the European version!! supporter of the German, French and Russian national team, as well as of FC Bayern München, Grasshoppers Club Zürich, Chelsea FC, AS Roma and, for reasons of style, Spartak Moscow) Favourite music: Opera (especially Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi) and metal (Metallica, Judas Priest, Nightwish). Yes, I know, it's a funny mixture. Favourite book: The Lord of the Rings, by far Favourite movie: Star Wars, but also The Mummy, The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Eastern Promises, Underworld, Le Pacte des Loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf in English), ... Favourite TV show: I don't really watch TV very often. However, I do love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Favourite animal: wolf Fandoms: Let's see. Tolkien and Star Wars, obviously, apart from that there's Harry Potter, the Discworld series, the movies/TV shows named above of course, football (what Europeans call football, mind you!), opera, ... Favourite characters: Aragorn, Khamûl and Sauron (The Lord of the Rings/The Silmarillion), Darth Vader (Star Wars), Sirius Black, Severus Snape and Remus Lupin (Harry Potter), Imhotep and Ardeth Bay (The Mummy), Angel and Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel), Javert (Les Misérables), The Phantom/Erik (The Phantom of the Opera), Lan, Ba'alzamon/Ishamael and Shaidar Haran (The Wheel of Time series), Agent Smith (The Matrix), Francois Toulour (Ocean's Twelve), Terry Sheridan (Tomb Raider), Lord Vetinari and Death (the Discworld series), Mani and Jean-Francois de Morangias (Le Pacte des Loups),... Favourite actors etc: Gary Oldman, Vincent Cassel, Gerard Butler, Viggo Mortensen. Where opera singers are concerned, Carlo Bergonzi and Samuel Ramey. Dearest possessions: my violin and my PC Drooling/Swooning/Thudding etc interests: Monica Bellucci, Kate Beckinsale, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Liv Tyler, Angelina Jolie (as Lara Croft, mainly), Patricia Velazquez (in the second Mummy movie more than in the first). And I must say I find Sarah Michelle Gellar incredibly cute. Things I loves: Apart from the things mentioned above? Lasagna. I'd kill for that. ;-) Things I hate: That's a lot, actually... =) the student delegates of the main university, fanmaticism, spinach, the colour pink, the Thénardier family from Les Misérables, folk music, Britney Spears etc, women in overly high-heeled shoes and too much make-up, techno "music", the Teletubbies, liver, most Austrian politicians, hippies, dead insects in my room, having a cold, fat, the German and Italian Harry Potter translations, pacifists, teenie movies, too much work, a couple of people (giving no names), tidying up my room, Leonardo DiCaprio, people who kill animals without a reason, when the water in the shower won't get warm, emptying the bio trash bucket, ... For those among you who happen to speak Italian: So long then, and may the Force be with you. :-) | |||||||||||
