I Pledge to Read the Printed Word

Name: Changes with my mood

Age: does it matter

Random: I love to write. I'm currently working on an original idea that I hope will eventually turn into a novel. I try to write whenever I have free time, which thanks to stupid teachers who give mountains of pointless homework, is becoming less and less often.

I have an probably, now that I think about it, unhealthy obsession/adoration/infatuation with fictional characters and fall in love with them only too often. Fictional guys should not be allowed to be so heartbreakingly wonderful.

I'm kind of a private person. I hardly ever let anyone read my written works. I get bored easily and when that happens I'll usually discard whatever I'm working on so please excuse me. I also happen to be very prone to writers block another thing you must excuse me for.

I almost always end up like the "bad" characters more than the "good" characters. The "bad" characters usually have more dept and intrigue.

I don't feel anything halfway-I either hate or love or obsess.

Books you HAVE TO read! (In no particular order)

Divergent by Veronica Roth (Read it and fall in love; with the book, with the author, with the world, with Four as long as you remember his mine)

Hourglass by Myra McEntire (Okay so I know time travel sounds lame but its really, really good.)

Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

Heist Society by Ally Carter

Another Faust by Daniel and Dina Nayeri

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (Gale

Nobody's Princess by Esther Friesner

Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (Okay yes I know the movies are awful but don't let that prejudice you. Read the first 3 books and then just pretend the series ends there because Breaking Dawn, like the movies, sucks)

Love Story by Jennifer Echols (This is a really cute story. I'm not joking with I say Read It!)

Going to Far by Jennifer Echols (Jennifer Echols just officially made it onto my Favorite Authors list)

Delirium and Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver (Truly can't stress this enough...READ THIS BOOK! Alex is my darling and I was depressed for days when I thought he was dead and I am still awestruck and in euphoric raptures that he's SPOILER ALERT *whispers* alive!)

Harry Potter by JK Rowling (I'm assuming you all read this series but it had to go on this list anyway, though if you haven't read this idk why I'm even talking to you...jk but seriously if you haven't read them there's something wrong)

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (I love Jace. I have an unhealthy thing for hot self-distructive bad boys plus he's funny and hot and smart, and did I mention hot.)

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare (So I have a thing for Cassandra Clare and Herondale boys. Will is wonderful and Jem's such a sweetheart. How can you not love them?)

Stephanine Plum by Janet Evanovich (It's a Jersey thing. Or a Morelli thing. I haven't decided.)

Lily and Dash's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (Cute! why can't this happen in real life?)

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (Dimitri and Adrian *swoon*)

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater (Damn this girl can write. Why can it not convey how much I loved this book? It's a horse thing I'm sure. I'm a horse girl. I love riding almost as much as I love reading and writing. And Sean...I don't think there are words. And then there's wild, dangerous, beautiful Corr. just this entire book...READ IT)

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (With out a doubt the most beautifully written book I've ever read. Absolutely exquisite.)

Please Excuse Me While I Obsess

If anyone has any suggestions send them my way. I'm always looking for a new book to read.

Stories

Stifling Darkness - Draco's Experience-Summer of 1996 till the Dark Lords end. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince through The Deathly Hallows as Draco Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange would have experienced it and the relationship they would have had during this time. The focus for now is on Draco however that might change. I'm going to try to stay as true to the books as possible.

This means that I will not be writing a romantic relationship between my two main characters. I will eventually write some un-cannon pairings but, for now if that's what you are looking for, please find something else to read. I'm sorry about the confusion.

Once Upon a Time - Really short one-shot of Bellatrix thoughts on her relationship with the Dark Lord. It was initially supposed to be the beginning of a chapter in Stifling Darkness but I cut it because I didn't feel it fit. But I liked it to much to throw it out entirely.

We Were Sisters - The Other Boleyn girl-Anne's thoughts on her sister, Mary and Henry Percy.

It was born from one of those late night 'I need to write' moments. Not my best. My only excuse is that I was tired. Anyway I felt it was worth posting anyway.

Second Rising - Voldemort's rebirthing ceremony from his POV.

Something as Simple as Bella - Voldemort reflects on the night he found where the Potter's were hiding, during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. I was really happy with the way this one turned out. Please read.

Consequences - Voldemort assesses the damage at the Malfoy Manor and its inhabitants after Harry Potter escapes in The Deathly Hallows.

Marauders Tale - Sirius and Bellatrix were cousins. They both made up their own rules and did what they wanted when they wanted. Why then would it not stand that they were close friends?

Sirius and Bellatrix are my two favorite characters so this was just kind of a fun thing for me.

A New Kind of Divergence - Dauntless during Four/Tobias's initiation.

Okay so I love Tobias and wanted to know more about him so I wrote this a while back literally the day after the book came out (because I bought and read the book publishing day. I was obsessed and consequently failed about three tests but it was worth it). I was waiting FOREVER for Divergent to have its own FF category but life happens and after a while I stopped checking everyday to see if it was up. So here it finally is.

The Last Thing - Cato's encounter with the Mutts, his last minutes and his last thoughts regarding his district partner.

Just because I really love Cato and Clove and am sorry both of them died. Please read.

Over in an Instant - Gale's thoughts as he watches the 74's Reapings, or in other words what he thinks as Katniss is reaped. Gale obviously had plans for him and Katniss which he never had a chance to voice that last day in the forest. The title comes from how all of Gale's plans and wish for the future vanish when Prim is Reaped and Katniss takes her place.

I wrote this for Gale because I love him and am sorry he doesn't end up with Katniss.

Force of Impact - The Careers before an undetermined Hunger Games. This was originally just supposed to be a snapshot for my tumblr but I ended up expanding on the idea. It's different than most of the stuff I've written before so I'm not sure how it turned out.
