Author has written 4 stories for Neverwinter Nights, and Baldur's Gate. To start things off I would just like to say thank you for visiting my page. Also that I would like to say a few things about my quotes. The ones without citation I have no idea who said them first but have seen them else where so I lay no claim to them. They are really fun things to say though so I put them there. I'm honestly not sure if said quotes even have those that can, if I find them I will change it. One more thing those in bold are super favorites for lack of a better term. Anyway thank you again and I hope you read and enjoy my stories. p.s. if it's been awhile and no updates check the forum it'll tell you what's going on. About me: A few words that have been used to describe me big sister, reliable, stoic, responsible, goth, vampire, quiet, kind (my friends say too much so), philosophic, librarian, independent, cynical, rather jaded and a bit of a romantic at times (when I let that side of me out so to speak.) and probably a good deal of other things that I've forgotten to mention. I like both poetry and prose. As well as anime, reading and writing (obviously), philosophy and video games. Futurama is probably my favorite non-anime show. My favorite live action show has got to be Supernatural. As for favorite book, video game or anime there are too many good ones for me to choose. Age: 25 What I write for: Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 maybe Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age & other Bioware games later. (because Bioware is awesome) Favorite Genres: Romance/Adventure/Fantasy (not just one i like them all to be rolled up into one. (perhaps i should make that genre then instead of genres) Elements: Water, Shadow, & Air Favorite Quotes: "Irony is the greatest form of humor." "Dying's easy living's hard" - Dr. House (House) "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers "Don't fear the dark...fear what's in it." Drow axiom "Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean I'm not right." "To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom" - Socrates "If you let the fly live, then the spider will die. You cannot save both without one suffering..." Knives (Trigun) "Get rid of the judgment ... get rid of the 'I am hurt,' you are rid of the hurt itself." -Marcus Aurelius "Men who seek happiness are like drunkards who can never find their house but are sure that they have one." - Voltaire "The soul should know whither it is going and whence it came, what is good for it and what is evil, what it seeks and what it avoids, and what is that Reason which distinguishes between the desirable and the undesirable, and thereby tames the madness of our desires and calms the violence of our fears." -Seneca "Remember, beneath every cynic there lies a romantic, and probably an injured one." -Glenn Beck "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche "How can I live my life if I can't even tell good from evil?" - Fry "Eh, they're both fine choices. Whatever floats your boat." -Bender (Futurama) "Optimism is the madness of insisting that all is well when we are miserable." - Voltaire -"After the earthquake, which had destroyed three-quarters of Lisbon, the country's wise men had found no more efficacious means of preventing total ruin than to give the people a fine auto-da-fé." - Voltaire "One merit of poetry few persons will deny: it says more and in fewer words than prose." - Voltaire "Irony dissolves sentiment, but occasionally a sentiment is strong enough to dissolve irony." - Mason Cooley "In Italy, for thirty years, under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed. But they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, and they had five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." - Graham Green "Cynic. A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - Ambrose Bierce "True greatness only comes through hardship." - Sophea Rae "Touche salesman." - Peter Griffin (Family Guy) "When it comes time to die, no one says 'I wish I had spent more time at the office.'" - Paul Tsongas "Pleasure is nice, but it is meaning that matters." - John Hardwig "Of all the forms of wisdom, hindsight is by general consent the least merciful, the most unforgiving." - John Fletcher "Unbeing dead isn't being alive." - e e cummings "It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are." - e e cummings "As for me, all I know is that I know nothing." - Socrates "I never follow the clock: hours were made for man, not man for hours." -François Rabelais "You can't touch music, but music can touch you." - Mordecai (Regular Show) "Nostalgia is possibly the greatest of the lies that we all tell ourselves. It is the glossing of the past to fit the sensibilities of the present. For some, it brings a measure of comfort, a sense of self and of source, but others, I fear, take these altered memories too far, and because of that, paralyze themselves to the realities about them. How many people long for that 'past simpler, and better world,' I wonder without ever recognizing the truth that perhap it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them?" "To dream magnificently is not a gift given to all men, and even for those who possess it, it runs a strong risk of being progressively diminished by the ever-growing dissipation of modern life and by the restlessness engendered by material progress. The ability to dream is a divine and mysterious ability; because it is through dreams that man communicates with the shadowy world which surrounds him. But this power needs solitude to develop freely; the more one concentrates, the more one is likely to dream fully, deeply." “Permit nothing to cleave to you that is not your own; nothing to grow to you that may give you agony when it is torn away.”- Epictetus | |||||||
