Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter.
Hello, I'm in my late 20's and I love to write.
First thing you need to know about me is that my stories are an opportunity for a creative outlet. One day I'd like to try writing something original, but at the moment, writing fanfic is enough for me. I'm quite busy you see, with my new baby, marriage, real-life career, and the myriad of Tomione plot bunnies that attack me at the most inopportune moments.
I basically write the stories that I would like to read myself. I truly love the Harry Potter universe, and I spend a lot of time fangirling over it in a rather embarrassing way (my husband, extended family, friends, work colleagues, casual acquaintances, and even random strangers can all probably attest to this).
As you can see, I ship Hermione/Voldemort (Tomione). I know a lot of people raise their eyebrows at this ship, but I love the challenge of it. Both are incredibly intelligent, cunning and powerful characters. Despite their similarities, they often have many obstacles to overcome to be together. This is where the fun is, of course ;) You often find, that once people discover the Tomione ship, either through morbid curiosity or via another ship, they never go back!
However, I also read Hermione/Sirius stories (see my fave list for recommendations), and there are several great Dramione writers out there whose stories I follow, too. Basically, I will read anything that's well written and mostly in-character, or their changes are believable because of their circumstances.
Sirius Black is my favourite HP character (I'll defend and argue for Sirius till the end of time). But I think that Voldemort is the most interesting.
The idea randomly popped into my head one day and I just had to go ahead and write it down. I have worked out how this story will end (well, the major details, anyway)... and intend to eventually write a sequel to it as well.
The very cool Dream a Dream 123 has made an amazing banner for Tertius Vita, which can be viewed here:
Right Place, Wrong Time?:
This idea initially started off as just a one-shot in my mind and then as my imagination got away with me (as per usual), it became so much more ;) At the moment I have no idea how I will end this story, I am just enjoying writing it chapter by chapter at the moment.
Dream a Dream 123 has also made an amazing banner for RP, WT? which can be viewed at the following link:
CHAPTER 14: Here is the link for the deleted (aka explicit scene) for this chapter:If that doesn't work, my name is Shan84 there as well.
Out with the Old:
There is a scene not included on FFnet, which can be found at AdultFanFiction(dot)net. My user name is 'Shan84' there as well. The link to the story is here:If that doesn't work, it's under the Hermione/Voldemort section.
There is a scene not included on FFNet, which can be found on AO3 at the following link: http://archiveofourown.org/works/606151
If that link doesn't work, my user name is 'Shan84' there as well. I will also eventually add it to my AFF file.
I don't have a specific timeline for updates on these stories. I write mainly when I have inspiration and time. I had a baby not too long ago, so please understand that I am not able to update as quickly as what I was previously able to.
16 March 2013: Just so you all know, RPWT hasn't been abandoned. I'm about 4K-5K into chapter 14. I thought I'd explain that I've had a lot of bad luck with this chapter. Firstly, I lost my USB stick which had version 1 on it ... then when I finally plucked up the nerve to start again, my house was broken into and my precious laptop was stolen (with USB stick no2 still in it), therefore losing the second version *grumbles*. Luckily my property can be replaced by insurance. But my writing can't. Therefore, I am now writing version 3 of chapter 14. It's taking a bit longer than expected ... I've been very busy with real life. So thank you all for being patient, and I hope to update soon! You know they say third time's a charm ;)
I could lie about how "unimportant" reviews are, and be cool - but let's be honest here, I'm not cool. I love receiving reviews! Getting great reviews make everything worthwhile. I don't get paid to write these stories, so sometimes, when motivation is at zero, going and reading my reviews makes me pick myself back up and continue writing ;)
