Kakashi Bashing: Alot of people say that Kakashi is biased, and that his favourite student is Sasuke. Why? Because during the one month break during the chuunin exam, Kakashi picked Sasuke over Naruto. A lot of people claim that is favouritism because Kakashi likes the "prodigy" Sasuke much more than the "useless" Naruto. These people, clearly, don't read things properly. Just so you know, Kakashi did not pick Sasuke because he favourited Sasuke, it was because Jiraiya told him to do so. Seriously. Just look at Chapter 143, somewhere around page 9 . Kakashi flashes back to sometime before the exam where he meets Jiraiya. If you guys actually bother reading word-for-word, you'll realize that, to quote Jiraiya(as per OneManga),

"Kakashi, someday Naruto will have to live while watching his back... That is his fate. Why don't you look after Sasuke for now. You need to teach him how to use the Sharingan... Because Itachi is also in that group. Before the real Chuunin exam starts, please leave Naruto to me."

And there you have it.

Some people also say that Kakashi taught Sasuke Chidori, an A-rank assassination attack, which he eventually used on Naruto, nearly killing him. Well, that is true. But for some reason that one piece of fact also ends up becoming some kind of odd logic that because Kakashi taught Sasuke his own original technique, Sasuke is Kakashi favourite's student. These people, once again, clearly, don't read things properly. Kakashi has also tried teaching Naruto Chidori as well. Seriously, look at Chapter 144, page 6. Take your eyes off Sakura and Sasuke instead and observe Kakashi and Naruto in the background. Any idea what they're doing? Kakashi is teaching Naruto Chidori right there. But since we know that Naruto can't even use his basic affinity Wind until a whole lot of training including mass amounts of shadow clones (post time skip), we can see Naruto hopelessly trying to force lightning chakra out. Needless to say, dear Naruto fails. And because he failed, people think Kakashi never bothered to teach Naruto Chidori.

Kakashi, do you feel vindicated?

P.S Kakashi in an article in shounen magazine...kakashi is asked if he liked to teach naruto or sasuke better...kakashi answered naruto...becuz he said sasuke absorbed everything like a sponge...but naruto worked hard and used innovative ideas to learn and think abt the jutsu in a different light...prompting naruto to have better understanding and learn improvisation...
