Hey! Let me just start off by saying I'm new to writing fanfictions, so I may not be very good at it. I'm definitely not new to writing, just writing stories like this. I'll try, but that's all I can guarantee. I am very well aware I tend to repeat myself when writing (using the same words over and over to describe an emotion or mood in a story) and I apologize for that. Due to what I said prior to this, I don't really know many other ways to do so and I'm sorry. I'm doing what I can, but I will welcome any tips and advice on how to improve on this.

My username, RadiantKeybladeFantasy, comes from three of my favorite video games by the way:

"Radiant Dawn", "Kingdom Hearts" (the keyblade), and of course, "Final Fantasy". I'm always trying to think of interesting and cool usernames. Oh! And, just a quick warning...my stories may have a tendency to go a little "over the edge" because sometimes I get a little too excited about what I'm writing. I'm sorry if that ever happens and I'll try to stay in the lines of believable and sane, lol.

FACTS ABOUT ME:

To start off: for anyone whom may be curious...I'm 23 and MALE.

I'm REALLY into those ever-popular, renowned "hero tales" where the guy has to save the girl! Something about that is just cool and fun to me - and, honestly...I think it's one of the best ideas out there! It really shows you exactly how much two people mean to each other and I find it to be like, the ultimate climax to a film or story. It's exciting, fun - and the ways that it happens are always changing, so it never really gets old! Those are the kind of stories I like reading about and have always written, so you might see that at some point in at least a few of mine - just another "heads up"!

People call me a romantic or whatever, but that's just the kind of thing I like. Call it cheesy - I don't care. I'll still call it who I am.

Play any of those games, and you'll see that they have one thing in common at some point - even briefly.

Squall Leonhart is my favorite Final Fantasy hero (recently beat out Tidus, lol), so I'm probably going to write mostly FFVIII stories for this reason. Not to mention, he and Rinoa are an amazing pair! I think Final Fantasy VIII is one of the best and most fun games out there! It has a little bit of everything in it: action, adventure, magic, love, etc. - it's so perfect! Besides, even though it's a game, it shows that opposites really DO attract, people will do anything for love, and even the most unlikely person can become a hero everyone can rely on. Squall fits everything I've said up to this point PERFECTLY, so you can see why he's my favorite. Say and think what you will, but SE really came through on that one!

My stories are inspired from games I've played and movies I've seen and enjoy. I take the plot of those and twist them somewhat to come up with my ideas - throwing in my own flare to create, what I hope, to be an interesting plot that will keep readers enticed. This may, and probably will, lead to seemingly odd events at some point (you know, the kind that makes you think "what the-?!"), but that's what I'm used to writing. I think, and hope, that as long as I can pull it off, I'm not doing anything TOTALLY farfetched. If you enjoy my stories, great! Thanks! If not, don't read 'em. Simple as that.

I don't normally read fanfiction because I find them MUCH more fun to write. However, I will make exceptions for a friend, by request, or if I find one I am simply enthralled by.

I am a MAJOR fan of the SquallxRinoa pairing, so most of my stories will be about them.

Also, as I am SUCH a fan...I hate seeing them split up for any reason. If they get back together in the end, that's totally fine - if not, I'll be PISSED! I can't stand to see them apart. Seriously, if you can't see how awesome their relationship is, how awesome the pairing is in general, it's a shame. I know people don't like Rinoa, but come on... If you like Squall, one would think you could at least accept his girlfriend. "Rinoa is annoying." So what? (I don't think she is) It doesn't mean she deserves to die or anything. I hate when people say, or think, things like that! She's not a bad person - she's a sweet girl and she just happened to fall for Squall, and vise versa. GET OVER IT!!! They make each other happy. You would think that would be enough for Squall fans. I mean, seriously... do you know of anyone going around wishing ill-will upon you because they think YOU'RE annoying? No. That's just pathetic and absurd - and the problem ultimately lies with them. Come on, people, she's a FICTIONAL character. Are we really proud to stoop that low?

Think about it this way: Rinoa isn't a fighter, not in the same sense as Squall and the others. She's not trained to deal with death and loss of any kind. So, naturally, in the face of danger, she'll get a little freaked out. She's surrounded by these people whom are used to battle and are accepting of death, and that would most likely make her a little uncomfortable at times. Her emotional turmoil in regards to these facts can really be noted in her quote on Disc 2 in Trabia: I feel like we're on the same wavelength... and all. But then when battles start... everyone's tempo seems to pick up, and...I feel like...I just can't keep up." This can also explain her "clingy" side/streak/whatever - the more scared she gets, the more safe she'll want/need to feel. Squall is the leader of their team, so it makes sense she'd cling to him. Not to mention, she hired him to help in their liberation endeavors (and, I'm pretty sure she was already falling for him by then, too). And, let's not forget, it was SQUALL whom told her, specifically "Just stay close to me."; so she did/does. He's always there to help her when she needs it, whether he's reluctant or not. Given these facts, of course she'll cling to Squall - she feels safe around him! While she may seem clingy, needy, or whatever you want to call it...the girl is scared. Plain and simple. That's what such actions are driven by. Like you wouldn't do something of the sort if you felt the same way. Hypocrisy as well as ignorance. Sad...

Seriously, there are SO many complaints towards this game, and it's characters, that clearly prove no one pays/paid attention while playing.

Big question on my mind: Why does everyone always hate the kind and gentle characters - yet, approve of the angry, spiteful ones? I am curious.

I'm a fan of the following couples in FF history:

Crack (all my own pairings) - Zack FairxRinoa Heartilly, Locke ColexGarnet, Tifa LockhartxLoz, Terra BranfordxTidus, Lightning FarronxFirion

That being said, the only Final Fantasy games I am familiar with are VIII, X, X-2, XIII, and XIII-2. I know VII, IX and XII, but VERY little - so, my stories will mostly revolve around the former. Any other FF characters I am familiar with, I have learned about through Dissidia...and I know those games don't exactly give you the best ideas about their persona and such.

Yes. I have taken down the info regarding my perspective on the "Squall's Dead" and R=U theories. However, let me just be clear: I still do NOT support them in any way, whatsoever. In fact, to be precise - I completely and utterly HATE the "Squall's Dead" theory. Seriously, that is the biggest heap of crap from anyone, especially a Final Fantasy player. It extremely angers me that people could really be so stupid...and so willingly, at that! At least R=U holds some merit to it. "Squall's Dead" is completely ludicrous and should NEVER have been started in the first place. You can't just twist sayings like "your life flashes before your eyes" in order to support your own perspectives. It doesn't work that way! That phrase ONLY pertains to one's past - not their future, the life they could have. Give me a break! Seriously. If you're going to come up with a theory, just MAKE SURE you have the proper evidence - which, as I've said, "Squall's Dead" has NONE - it's completely void of any logic. Anyone paying attention when playing Final Fantasy VIII, would know this. The signs that Squall is still alive are all over. Use your damn eyes, and brain (for those who have one). It really wouldn't hurt now and then, people. Willful ignorance at its finest. It's insane.

Not to mention, if Ultimecia was never real...how do you explain her presence in Dissidia? Chaos can suddenly extract one's thoughts from their minds as well and manifest them physically? Tidus was featured in the games, too, I know, but he was also a physical presence - even if he wasn't real. That wouldn't be the case for Ultimecia if Squall had really just dreamed up everything after Disc 1. While Dissidia can't usually be applied in cases like this, I think it's legitimate here. You can't say SE doesn't know what they're doing when it comes to their own characters.

I honestly believe this theory was derived from people whom paid NO attention while playing, hated the game and needed a reason to like it so they wouldn't feel they wasted their money, or just don't think it's interesting enough and needs a little more "spice" to it. I don't believe FFVIII is "sloppy writing". It may be confusing, but if you pay attention, like with every story...it makes sense. I mean, seriously, does EVERYTHING have to spelled out for you right away? Use the damn clues given throughout the story to find your answer.

I will list a more brief and precise logic as to why I do not support R=U. Keep these in mind. I find them to be key:

1) "Sorceress's have extended lifespans" - This is never stated in the game! How did anyone come up with this concept? Show me proof of any kind, any point at all in Final Fantasy VIII where this is stated, or even hinted at. The game clearly states that Ultimecia "is a sorceress many generations ahead of our time". So, it could simply go that even if Squall had indeed died before Rinoa, do not forget that sorceress power can be PASSED ON. It is how Rinoa became one, after all. For all we know, another person with the potential to embody sorceress power came along and, after Rinoa died, received her powers and THEY became Ultimecia. We know nothing of the latter's past (with the exception of the words she speaks through Edea before the parade on Disc 1), so it's stupid to just assume something so we feel we have confirmation. Without actual proof, it's rather naive, and stupid, to make such claims. The only thing that stands to even remotely support this theory is that sorceress's without a knight may end up using their powers in evil ways. But, this CANNOT stand to support the theory alone due to the fact that, again, there is no confirmation that sorceresses live longer lives than normal humans. This is a baseless argument.

2) Rinoa received Squall's Griever Ring - Truth! While in fact, she did, one must remember: the ring cannot actually summon Griever! It is just symbolic of him. If it had that power, why couldn't the player ever summon Griever? Even more so...why didn't Squall ever do it?! Not to mention, that Ultimecia (as Edea) cast a spell to bring two statues to life and attack Rinoa in Deling City. With this, she clearly proved that she had the ability to bring non-living things to life. This, and Ultimecia's statement before summoning Griever in the Japanese version:

“Your feelings, I shall summon the most powerful of things [from them]! The more strongly you feel, that will be what shall torment you. Fufu.”

They both only serve to further prove that the latter indeed brought Griever to her side FOR THE FIRST TIME in that battle with Squall...from his mind. The english version is rather modified from its original translation, and not only at that particular moment in the game.

UPDATES:

"Phenomenon" - Seems everyone is enjoying it - at least, judging by the statistics. I would hope so anyway. Only two more chapters to go!

Dissidia 011: Undecim - I will probably be rewriting this story. I know it can be better and that's really why I want to redo it. It won't be done for a while now, but I intend to do so at some point.

Dead or Alive - Yeah, okay, nothing really in mind right now - except maybe a story on the 6th DOA tournament. However, I really like these games, so I am interested in writing a story pertaining to the franchise. I guess we'll see how things go.

Crossover - I'm not really into writing crossovers, but I'd like to give it a try at least once and I'm slowly developing an idea. Unfortunately, due to not being completely thought out enough just yet, I don't even have a title in mind. However, I will say that the story will revolve around major Final Fantasy rivals: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. Common, I know, but...I just can't pass it up!XD

What's NOT to like about it? I can't answer this question easily, lol. But, if I have to...I guess the story, first and foremost. It's easy to follow, fun, eventful, and it manages to cover the lives of the characters. Some games just leave you with vague hints to such. Not to mention, I love seeing how Squall and Rinoa grow attached to each other over time! How much he saves her really shows what she means to him, even though he won't admit it at first.

Are there aspects of it you don't like?
Honestly...I really can't think of anything. There are boring parts, but every game has those. I guess drawing is annoying, but only because you have to restock all over again when restarting, lol. After I get a decent amount of magic, though, I really don't mind it.

In general - none. But, I do think Odin is completely useless in FFVIII. I only get him to acquire Gilgamesh.

Probably XIII-2. You go through all of that for NOTHING pretty much. What a waste! There were so many aspects of it that I didn't like, but the plot was confusing and the ending of it all just sucked. All the girl wanted was to find her sister. Come ON! Plus, SE promised an ending where "Lightning ends up happy", and promptly failed to follow through. What a letdown...

Not. even. close. The most annoying character? To me? Is probably Xemnas...or Sephiroth (even though the latter doesn't really have much of a role in KH).

Probably Namine. I like Olette and all, but I don't see them being a couple. On top of that, it's practically inevitable that Roxas would fall for Namine due to specifics pertaining to their past. They were just basically meant to be!=)

Actually, I never really came up with one. I was just wishing they'd get back to Sora and the others already. Still...BBS has grown on me.

23. Was Chain of Memories a waste of time?

No, I don't think so. It did clear up a lot of things pertaining to the start of KH2 (Roxas, Organization XIII, Namine, etc.) If you didn't play it, you'd be TOTALLY lost (like I was, having played KH2 BEFORE CoM, lol.) I think CoM was actually the LAST of the first three games I completed. Whoops...

24. If you had the choice of meeting ONE (and ONLY ONE!) KH character, who would it be?

Aww...I can't decide between Sora and Kairi. I hate this question!

25. Which KH character do you relate to the most? Why?

I can't really say. I can be like Riku sometimes, to be honest, but at the same time...I think I'm more like Sora, with a hint of Kairi in me due to her caring and compassionate personality.

26. What's the most embarrassing moment that ever happened to you that had something to do with KH?

I can't really remember, but I think there was a time when I used Sora and Auron's "Bushido" on Hades when running from his "lair" in the Underworld. I knew he couldn't be hurt at the specific point I launched the attack, but I did it anyway. I still don't know why...

No. I've considered it and even WANTING to do it, but...I don't think I ever could. Now, if I'd ever thought about it back when we still celebrated Halloween...I'd probably have chosen Sora!

In CoM, on the Destiny Islands, when Sora runs up to Riku. It was something like:

29. The Hardest Enemy/Boss was...?

Sephiroth. Taken him on ONLY once in both games, but that was enough for me. I never played either game long enough to stand a chance at actually beating him.

30. What was a good edition in KH2 that made it oh-so-addictive?

The drive forms were a DEFINITE plus! Loved that idea and it really amped up Sora's potential! The only thing that made it better was Riku as a world partner!XD Now...if only he could have joined them OUTSIDE that world...and Kairi, too! *hint, hint, SE*

KH2. MUCH happier ending, Kairi fought (even momentarily), and there weren't any Heartless in that game that freaked me out. I HATED Agrabah and Monstro in the first game! EESH!!!

It's a new kind of story and the characters keep changing; progressing in new and better ways! You can clearly see how much they've grown from KH1 to KH2!
