OF THE WRITING
The Swallow Sang It to Me is on official hiatus. My apologies! I hope to someday pick it back up, but at the moment it just... isn't working. You can read the Important Notes below for more information.
I am, as ever, working on several fanfic projects at once, not to mention all I must do in Real Life, as it were. So although I'm trying to get everything done as quickly as I can as well as I can, it may take a while to get any of the longer stories completed. I'll probably only be uploading shorter pieces for a while, but here are some of the more involved stories you can be expecting some time in the future:
Orange Winter - An Ed, Edd, & Eddy fanfic whose title will most likely change. Being a Story in ten Parts, in which Edward must face his Ghosts. Sequel to Home for Christmas and Choosing to Bleed - if you had questions after reading those, hopefully they'll be answered in this story.
The Genesa Project - A lengthy parallel-plot Prétear fanfic. Projected release date: whenever the monstrous thing is done.
Standing on the Sky - Rewritten version in progress.
Important Notes which I strongly advise you read:
I've recently taken down several old fanfics, as I've grown incredibly dissatisfied with my collection of writing here. Most of it is old, poorly written, and poorly thought-out. I'm still not content with most of the what remains here, but I don't hate it so much as to remove it. However, I do have some notes concerning some of them.
Regarding Kunpuu: This will absolutely be rewritten and retitled eventually. Considering that it was my first fanfic I ever shared with the world, I'm not that picky about it (honestly, I was twelve and thirteen). I just ask you to please not judge my writing skills by this one... or any of the older ones, really. :P
Regarding Just a Little Crazy: Another to be rewritten. It strongly needs more research. My apologies.
The Swallow Sang It to Me is currently on hiatus and may be removed in the future if I don't continue it. Once again, I failed to plan adequately and so ran out of material fairly quickly. I knew where I wanted the story to go, I just couldn't quite get it there. I hope I can someday finish it.
And. Standing on the Sky. Hear me sigh deeply. It breaks my heart to know I've grown apart from this story, since I poured so much heart and hard work into it, but it's a thorn in my side and would be taken down from the Internet and Fanfiction.net if I hadn't been specifically asked to keep it up. It is melodramatic, inconsistant, and needed some solid editing before being posted (you see, back in the day I considered editing to merely be fixing typos, not actually rewriting anything). Not to mention that the sprinklings of anime-vocabulary annoy me now. But despite all its issues I still love the story, the original characters (my kitchen girls, I adore them), the little embellishments I made into the Cephiran culture. It's a precious story to me, despite how irked I am by its raw state, and that's why I'm making the effort to rewrite it and give it the quality I feel it deserves. If you choose to read it, remember that I'm not terribly pleased with much of it and likely anything you see that you would change, I would too. It's coming.
