Hi! I'm MarieCarro, and this is my official Fanfiction page. This is where all of my new stories appear first before I decide if I should put them up anywhere else.

I can also be found on TWCS and on Archive of Our Own, but the stories there are the same as here. It just depends on what page you want to read the stories on :-)

So, I am a 19-year-old girl/young woman, that's on the brink of turning 20 (My birthday is September 13th)

I am originally from Sweden, but I'm currently living in Norway, where I've lived since January 2013

What am I doing in Norway, you wonder?

Well, even though I love to write, my big passion in life if acting. I'm dreaming of one day become and actress and maybe hit the big screens eventually :-) So, I'm in Norway to work and make enough money to go to acting school in England, hopefully in the fall of 2015 :-D

The story of how I became MarieCarro ;-)

The story of how I was welcomed to the world of fanfiction isn't very long.

It all started in the end of July 2008. I was only one and a half months from my fifteenth birthday and I was one of those Twilight fans that was proud to be called a Twerd...I looked up everything that there was about the books and the movies.

It was only a few days until Breaking Dawn was to be published and I was anxiously waiting for my copy to arrive in the mailbox.

However, since I was so impatient, I started to search on the internet after teasers and various other things, and that was when I came across a link that said "My Breaking Dawn Fanfic version"

I had no idea what "Fanfic" meant, but I clicked on it anyway and came to a page called Edward's Meadow. I read several of the stories that was up on the page and I was intrigued with the people that were actually using their imagination to make the characters I loved do all of these things.

Through one of the stories, I saw that one author had put up a profile link that led to a page no other than FF.net :-)

I read all of her stories and then through her favorite authors, read even more stories. I was slowly falling in love with Fanfiction...:-)

But it wasn't until March in 2010 that I decided to become a member myself. Of course, then I needed a name. I didn't want a name that was only associated with Twilight in case I would ever want to write stories for another fandom, so I decided to come up with one that was kind of like my own name. I am born as Marie Caroline, so I just mashed them together and became MarieCarro :-)

Why did I decide to start writing instead of just reading the stories I found?

Mostly because there was one plot I really wanted to read, but I couldn't find. Therefor, I decided to write it myself. I thought, "it can't be that hard, can it?"

I had always enjoyed writing. I'd written stories ever since I could spell my own name. But I was scared that my stories weren't good enough to be out there. I was a nervous wreck when I was about to post my very first chapter.

And that was how A Lost Soul came to be.

I'd noticed that among all of the stories that circled around FF, there were very few that was about Edward's life before Twilight in the sense that it's based on the facts from the books.

I gave it a try, and got some good response considering it was my very first story.

But I soon learned that there were a lot of things you had to put into consideration to create a good story. It was more work than I originally thought. Especially since I am a mild version of a perfectionist.

I wrote several stories that was later pulled, like You and Me because readers didn't want for Edward and Bella to just stay friends, or Where the Wild Roses Grow that was too dark for them to enjoy, and lastly, The Call which wasn't originally mine. Only a re-write of someone else's idea.

I also realized that people, even though they read my stories and liked my plots, were annoyed by my silly grammar and spelling mistakes. This was when I'd already published Love is Strange for the first time, and that was only around a year ago. Sure, my ability to write in the English language had improved immensely since A Lost Soul, but it was still not quite there.

I'd heard so much about people using these co-authors that were called betas and I decided to see if I could find one for my next story.

That was in the summer of 2012. I was reading, yet another story, about Bella leaving Forks and going to Italy to join the Volturi, but as always, she forgave Edward in the blink of an eye and became a vegetarian vampire with him and The Cullens. Those stories always left me so unsatisfied.

I decided that it was my turn to give the plot a go.

The more chapters I wrote, the more I realized that for me to make this story justice, I have to get a beta.

I called out to you, my dear readers, for help, and was introduced to Project Team Beta.

Since the quality of Isabella Volturi was far above my other stories, it received a lot more attention and I soon had a few loyal readers that started to read my other stories as well, but I was embarrassed by them. They were nowhere near as good as Isabella Volturi and that just wouldn't do. So I pulled them and decided to re-write them.

So here I am, in the middle of re-posting Love is Strange, I've just completed The Natural Path, A Lost Soul is currently being re-written at the same time as I'm writing a new story called The Perfect Partner Program.

Now you know me a bit better. That was the story of how I became Fanfic author, MarieCarro :-)
