Author has written 41 stories for Kizuna, FAKE, War Planets/Shadow Raiders, Xyber 9, Mummies Alive!, Babylon 5, Wolf's Rain, StarTrek: Deep Space Nine, Gravitation, Love Mode, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dresden Files, Yu-Gi-Oh, Samurai Warriors, Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Finder Series. The Story of Salmon: I like to think of myself as a rebel. Hence the name - Salmon - the fish who swims upstream. However, those who think of ourselves as rebels rarely tend to actually be one. All and all, I'm pretty average. A working stiff, with too much imagination who dreams of a career doing something I actually enjoy doing instead of just working for money. Oh, and sometime I'd like to publish a book, too. :P A Word About Romances in my Fics: A good half of my stories contain Slash and/or Femmeslash (Yaoi and Yuri if you prefer). I make no apologies or excuses for this to those who do not like the fandom. Nor do I make any apologies or excuses for the inclusion of Het in such stories to those who like the fandom. Some of my stories even contain no romance whatsoever. A fact I'm exceedingly proud of given the lack of such stories among fanfiction. I would like to say something about the fandom known as Slash/Yaoi/Femmeslash/Yuri. Who doesn't right? I just seem to straddle the fence on this particular fandom. I tend to stay closely to canon - only writing it for shows that contain it already. Though there is an occasional exception. and I dare say I read a great many fics from non-tongzhi ai (Rough translation - Gay Love) fandoms that create a tongzhi-ai pairing. I also include het couples in my tongzhi ai fics - something that disturbs a great many fans of the said fandom. I can't really comprehend this. I don't believe what both backers and rejectors of the fandom say - that tongzhi ai is nothing but pr0n. Are there tongzhi ai stories that are nothing but pr0n? Yes, of course. Are there Het stories that are nothing but pr0n? Well, golly, gee - yes. I read stories and watch shows because I enjoy the tale that's being told. Romance is often included in any such tales, because human beings tend to be suckers for romances. To me, it doesn't matter what the gender is of the said romantic couple, so long as I enjoy the story unfolding before me. That's why I read - and write - tongzhi ai. It's also why het couples appear in my tongzhi ai fics. If you hate either fact - I'm sorry. Here's some change. Call me when you grow up. Latest Updates: 01-11-12: Works in Progress: The Good Son - Hetalia again, and another de-anon from the hetalia kink meme. (Yes, it's a little distracting, no it is not to blame for my other stories neglect. Life has been sucking my inspiration away. If anything, the meme is getting me to write again, which can only be good for my unfinished fics.) This story is horror, which is not a genre I'm overly fond of. The psychological side of horror I occasionally delve into only because it's paired with my usual fantasy/sci-fi/paranormal interest, but it remains a rather untouched genre for me even when reading other's works. However, upon reading the prompt, I suddenly had an idea. So, I dared to step out of my box and write this. I'm proud of the result both as a fic, and because it represents that I took up the challenge of stepping outside of my comfort zone. Love, Tears, & Promises - Is currently on hiatus. I know in one way where I want to take it, but it's been a long time since I last read Kizuna. I almost wish I'd skipped the current storyline, as it seems to be part of what's holding it up. At the same time, I'm toying with how to change it and bring the fic to a satisfactory close. It isn't abandoned. But right now I can't find the interest to write the next piece. Hopefully that'll change soon, since it seems to have alot of watchers. The Price for Loving You - Is finally updated! I guess there was a hiatus without my permission. Darn Muse. This was a very hard chapter to write. A lot of characters, a lot of angst, and a lot of set up for what's to come. While this could be considered the climax for Ayaka and Hiro's plotline, Tatsuha's isn't quite there yet. I promise to work harder on this fic in the new year. Never Never Land - I started this over a year ago, and never started posting it on FF.net. For some reason, my muse developed a fascination with Mikhail. Not only that, but decided to give him an OC romance. While I have been guilty of OC romances, they are usually side stories. Not only that, but have unhappy endings. So my muse is really taking a walk on me with this one. I do, however, love where she's going with it. Hopefully my readers will too. The Meaning of Home - My new Lovemode fic. My muse actually decided to write TakamiyaxIzumi. (She has lots of other pairings in it too.) I started this awhile ago in my journal. I usually wait to post my LMs here til it's finished on LJ, but I just had the urge to post more on ffnet recently. (Probably because none of my readers seem to bother following my journal. XD) New Fics: The First Day of Autumn - I realized two things. One, almost none of my Hetalia fics are posted on ffnet. Two, I have no pure yuri among my fics on ffnet. Clearly both needed remedied.
