Author has written 37 stories for X-Files, Gargoyles, Reboot, Dragon Ball Z, Sandman, Stargate: SG-1, Care Bears, and Battlestar Galactica: 2003. I'm a gal with various and sundry obsessions who usually has my nose stuffed in a book of some description or am finding time to sneak a few rows of knitting in. I tend to be fairly friendly and motherly, but bad grammar, mischaracterization, wretched spelling, blatant Mary Sueism, and a general refusal to edit one's writing or even ACKNOWLEDGE that one's writing can be improved upon tend to drive me insane and cause me to stop being my usual friendly, perky self. I'm a Scorpio with an Aries rising, so there's a definately a temper there, but it's fortunately counterbalanced by a lot of patience and a very long fuse. I love fic reviews (who doesn't?) and am quite happy to get them. If you want a reply, you'll probably stand a better chance by sending an email or posting at my LJ. But, if you just want to leave a review on the board, go to it! Yes, I'll even take bad reviews. I'm certainly secure enough about my writing to handle someone saying that they don't like it. But, I'll warn you, if your review is either clearly a trolling one that says something to the effect of "Why you, my good woman, indeed suck most mightily and I feel that you must be most corpulent, unpleasant to look upon, a lesbian, and possessing a most foul aroma. I must insist that you go off to procreate with yourself immediately because I feel that you are far too unpleasant to remain within my purview any longer" (i.e. U sux00rZ U FaT uGLy LezBIEn HO!) or simply a a long-winded, self-indulgent rant lambasting me for leaving an honest review of your badly-written, Mary Sue-riddled fic which has nothing to do with my fic, which, in theory, is the only one you're supposed to be discussing in this review, I won't stop you. I won't delete it, but I will report signed ones for thier abuse of my review board, and I will very, very gleefully and publically mock the rest because I'm so very grateful to you for selflessly playing the fool for my personal amusement. Generally, I don't write sequels and I like sticking to short pieces. Unless I say that a particular piece is a work-in-progess, it's probably safer to assume that it's complete when I post it and that I don't plan on continuing it. I don't like posting multi-chaptered fics since I have a bad habit of never finishing them. That doesn't mean that an idea for a continuation to a piece won't occur to me later, but you probably shouldn't be holding your breath for it. I honestly don't mind MSTings and re-archiving of my writing. All I ask is that my name remains intact and that you drop me an email before you do it so I can go visit. I also don't mind being a general beta-reader, but again, please ask me first. Fandoms I currently enjoy: Stargate SG-1/Atlantis (I love Sam Carter, I've adored RDA since I was a wee little Ryuu, and Claudia Black is incredible as Vala.) Sanctuary(There aren't enough good words to describe Amanda Tapping, really. She rocked as Sam and she's even BETTER as Helen Magnus.) The Daily Show (Jon Stewart is magnificent.) Discworld (Although I just can't be havin' with this. Lawks.) All things written by Neil Gaiman (How can you pick just ONE? Did you SEE The Doctor's Wife?) Doctor Who (Going back to my geek-roots. Tom Baker was my first doctor and my favorite, but Matt Smith is definately the most adorkable of the lot. And Amy Pond? Yowza.) Transformers (Also with going back to my geek-roots, but I'm currently SO digging on Transformers Prime. Most badass Arcee EVER.) My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (I'm just as surprised as you are by how good this show is.) MacGyver (Who's still the patron saint of all tech-geeks everywhere.) Young Wizards (Funny, touching, brilliantly-imagined universe that I would LOVE to be real. Also, one of the rare and well-written adolescent heroines out there. Nita's awesome.) | |||||||||
