Author has written 36 stories for NCIS, Thor, and Keeping Up Appearances. "Workin' on it, Boss." Seriously: I hadn't given it much thought. Never realized I'd be writing more than one story on this forum. :D Anyway: this quote happens to be a favorite of mine. :) For starters, I'm non-English. Yet, the only fanfic I ever write is - yup! exactly - in that very language. I could write in Dutch - or rather Flemish (for that's where I am from: Flanders) - but who'd ever (be able to) read that, eh? Anyway, I've taken quite a liking to writing fanfic AND in English... And I certainly hope to get better at it! So I'm a fan of...many shows/movies but there was this special one that really got me into fanfiction writing: NCIS. NCIS I'm an avid NCIS fan, and as you may already have guessed from the stories I (a'hum... ) produced, McGee is by far my favorite! However, I like to see the team as one, if at times dysfunctional, family. I like Gibbs taking care of his agents, and that, of course, includes one Timothy McGee Tony, for all his hazing and behaving like a real jerk at times, does like his very own Probie: their relationship is more the 'brotherly' kind in my fanfics. I can only see the good in both the boys, Tony and Tim. now...Ziva... If I were to write ships, I'd go for McGiva. Sorry, Tiva-fans, for making Tim Tony's rival there ;D Abby... I loved her (and McAbby) until...her behavior versus Tim became...a little too underhand for my taste. Ducky: he's, of course, the wisest man to whom the others can confide. And there are Jimmy and Vance... THOR (& The Avengers) Now, ever since I saw one particular and rather brilliant actor in 'War Horse', I started to google for his other appearances and so discovered 'Thor', 'The Avengers', 'Suburban Shootout' (hilarious!), 'The Hollow Crown', 'Unrelated'...etc...etc...etc... The result: I'm now trying to find my way into Thor fanfiction and actually got my first Thor - or rather Loki - story written. Of course, it wouldn't just stop there, so I decided to start writing a multi chapter fic, too. Loki's my favorite: hands down! :D o0o I'm currently working on a WIP, "The Importance of Being Low-key" wich is a story about Loki's son and Loki. It's about Loki trying to keep a low profile to protect his son from his enemies...and his Asgard family. Of course, things will eventually get more complicated, for Loki's enemies are also Magni's and the God of Mischief will at some point be forced to jump to the rescue, maybe with some help from his 'brother' Thor. I know this story doesn't start 'with a bang' which would, perhaps, have attracted more readers/reviewers if I had... Who knows... Soooo...I named Loki's son Magni because, when looking for name, that one struck me as a fairly appropriate one for the boy. Of couse, I didn't realize Thor also had a son sharing this same name until I delved deeper into Norse mythology. So, yes, Thor had, according to the kennings and the Edda author, Snorri Sturluson, 2 sons (Móði and Magni) and 1 daughter (Þrúðr). His son Magni was, interestingly enough, by Thor's Jötunn lover, Járnsaxa. Yup. Jötunn... That 'race of monsters'... Ironic, isn't it? What you'll never find me doing, is slash-writing. It's not my thing. Sorry. There now. I hope you enjoy my endeavors just as much as I do. I absolutely love reviews, but I won't beg for them. They come as they come. As long as you know the reviews are basically to help me in my writing, 'cause I still need to improve. So, I sincerely hope you'll enjoy my stories. | |||||||
