Fanfiction: What does it really mean? Why do I ask you this question? Well because of flamers. They don't seem to get the point of fanfiction. If I wanted to read a cannon story, I would either read the book, watch the movie, or the tv show or whatever else there is. The point of fanfictions is for authors to practice their writing skills so that they can get better and eventually write their own original stuff that might end up being published and becoming a part of the fan fiction world.

Fanfiction is not meant to have the cannon characters, but it is meant to have the author's personal expression in it. Flamers are the stupidest people on this site because they have nothing better to do then to read stories they know they won't like and sit there and complain about how much they didn't like it. If you don't like something posted on the site then don't read it, you are just waisting the author's time with bad reviews and you make yourself looking like a complete idiot in front of the millions of people that come to this site and read the stories.

Comments on how you could make the stories are welcome, but what is not welcome or should not be tolerated is people who just complain about the stories. It is people like that that are unhappy with their own writing. Flamers are bullies and my plea to you authors out there is to stand up to those people who flame you and don't tolerate it.

Most of the time the flamers don't even have their own stories posted on the site. To those flamers I challenge you to post something and see if you like a bad review. There are great authors on this website who get flamed because of their likes and dislikes. The flamers flame them because they are intimidated about how they can't write as good as that. I will admit that I have read some stories that I don't like, but I will either not leave a review, or I will look for something I do like, and give the author some advice on how to make it better. The review button is not ment for people to make other people feel bad about how they write.

Moral of my rant: Flamers are idiots and should probably go choke on a bucket of ice cream instead of reading fanfiction all day.
