A post-War H/D set in an alternate universe. Draco was a spy, and has prophetic dreams that warn him of his impending death. Harry is the Auror set to guard him. I love the characterization in this story- I think both Harry and Draco are just right.

This is an epic H/D AU in which Harry and Draco were briefly married. Four years after the divorce, Harry turns to Draco for help. This story is wonderful because it offers a very real portrayal of Harry and Draco's relationship- no matter how hard they try, they always end up fighting.

Epilogue compliant, for once! This explores the relationships between Harry and his family, Draco and his family, and their children. It's about the value of love and the price that we pay for it. It's also one of the most beautifully heart-wrenching stories I have ever read.

Favorite Pairings:

Harry Potter: Harry/Draco, Scorose, AS/S, Teddy/JamesII...the only pairing I pretty much can't stand are Harry/Hermione. It just rubs me the wrong way. I'm also generally not a big Ginny fan, but she can be written well.

Torchwood: Jack/Ianto. OTP, OTP, OTP. (Yes, I know that as of Children of Earth moving on with this is effectively AU. I've always loved a good AU.) I'm not a Gwen/Jack shipper. Ever. As such, a lot of the fics I rec seem to involve Obnoxious!Gwen or some equally unlikeable variation...I have nothing against Gwen as a character, but she does kind of get in the way of Jack and Ianto. That being said, I do like the occasional John/Ianto, and I've recently started to ship Ianto-Gwen friendships. I can just imagine them both ranting about Jack! Even Owen/Ianto makes a certain amount of sense--pulling pigtails and all that. The lovely thing about Torchwood is that everyone is pretty much bi, even if they don't admit it, so you can mix and match pairings like none other and still work out some way to make it canon.

Queer As Folk: Brian/Justin, of course. I personally find Brian/Michael really annoying, because I can't imagine them ever working out.

NCIS: Gibbs/Dinozzo for the most part, though Dinozzo/McGee can work too. I'm rarely a Tiva shipper. But ever since I found Dinozzo/Palmer, I've been itching to read some more. Umm confession: I don't even watch NCIS. I mean, I've seen a few episodes but that's it. I kind of fell into this fandom through QAF--some people write for both.

X-Men: X-Men: First Class kind of ate my brain. I ship Charles/Erik SO MUCH, and that movie had so many moments. Plus even the actors ship it!

Inception: Arthur/Eames FTW!

Star Trek: I've only watched a couple episodes of TNG, and maybe one of TOS, so my background in Trek canon is pretty sparse...but I LOVED ST:XI, so you'll find a bunch of those fics here...Kirk/Spock is always great, but I like me some Kirk/Bones and Bones/Spock and Spock/Pike and Pike/Kirk too.

Have you ever read a 6/11 fic? uhh no? Remus and Viktor…hmmm. it’d be kind of weird, to be honest. i don’t see them clicking like that.

What would happen if 12 got 8 pregnant? there are so many things wrong with that idea. first of all—eww mpreg. not an mpreg fan, unless there’s a damn good explanation. also, Tonks is a girl? would that be some weird metamorphagus thing, or a spell or a potion? and finally: the image of a pregnant Voldemort. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Can you read fics about 9/3? hmm, Draco and Fred? uhh, sure, i guess. it’d take some serious twisting to make it work, but there isn’t anything inherently squicky about it. now i have this urge to go find draco/fred stories.

Would 2 and 6 make a good couple? omg. omg, yes they would! because they’re both studious bookworms, but also brave gryffindors! i mean, there is a significant age difference, but Hermione’s mature for her age. and she’s all compassionate about creatures, so the whole werewolf thing wouldn’t be an issue.

5/9 or 5/10? Sirius/Fred or Sirius/George? omg union of the pranksters…i say threesome!

What would happen if 7 walked in on 1 and 12 making out? i feel like Snape would be slightly grossed out, because technically Regulus is Tonks’ 1st cousin once removed(i looked that up on wikipedia). and also because Regulus is either a rotting corpse at the bottom of a lake full of inferi, or Tonks is a toddler. but Snape is Snape, so he would probably just sneer and then go find a quiet place to vomit.

Make a summary for a 3/10 fic. umm…okay. after the war, Draco wants to distance himself from the taint of his family’s name and pureblood traditions. George needs someone with potions expertise to help make new products for the shop. what starts out as a simple business relationship develops into friendship…and then much more. (has someone written this already? if not, can someone write this? i would, but i’m not that confident in my writing abilities. k thx.)

Is there anything such as 1/8 fluff? Regulus/TMR? hell no. ewwww doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Suggest a title for a 7/12 hurt/comfort fic. first of all, that’s just weird. i mean, i can’t even picture it—Snape is so dour and bitter, and Tonks is so cheerful and peppy. it’s like oil and water. my lame attempt: Sunshine and Ice. because ice is like Snape’s defensive exterior, masking his inner pain. and Tonks is cheerful like sunshine. and sunshine can slowly melt ice.

What might 10 scream out in a moment of passion? Fred! lol twincest. um, in all seriousness, probably just “fuck” or the name of whoever he’s with.

If you wrote a 1/6/12 fic, what would the warnings be? incest, necrophilia, bestiality. basically, all the sick things you really aren’t supposed to do.

When was the last time you read a fic about 5? uh, about 10 minutes ago. i’m on a bit of a Remus/Sirius binge at the moment.

1 and 9 are in a happy relationship until 9 suddenly runs off with 4. 1, brokenhearted, has a one night stand with 11 and a brief, unhappy affair with 12, then follows the wise advice of 5 and finds true love with 3. okay, so Regulus and Fred are in a happy relationship until Fred suddenly runs off with Bill. Regulus, brokenhearted, has a one night stand with Viktor and a brief, uhnappy affair with Tonks, then follows the wise advice of Sirius and finds true love with Draco. what the fuck? let’s just conveniently assume that all these characters are alive. this is a disturbing amount of incest. i really don’t see Regulus ever dating Fred, or Fred running off with Bill. the one night stand with Viktor is pretty plausible, as is the unhappy affair with Tonks. moving on to the next bit—has Sirius ever given anyone wise advice, let alone his little brother? i can’t see Regulus following it, either. but i guess Regulus and Draco would make a cute couple, both being slytherin purebloods who followed Voldemort and then became disillusioned, so long as we conveniently ignore the fact that Draco’s mom is Regulus’ cousin.

How would you feel if 7/8 were canon? very disturbed. very, very, very disturbed. Snape/Voldemort. just—ew.
