Author has written 52 stories for Yu Yu Hakusho, Jedi Apprentice, Beyblade, Rurouni Kenshin, Lord of the Rings, Saiyuki, Magnificent Seven, Final Fantasy VII, Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellboy, Covenant, Transformers/Beast Wars, Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, Leverage, Transformers, and Ice Age. This is the beginning... Name: Kate Age: 22 Generation: I'm a member of the Millennial Generation, or Generation Y. Location: New England area of the United States, the state of Massachusetts to be exact. Occupation: Unemployed currently due to the economy and lack of hiring jobs. Education: Associates Degree in Web Design, a degree I will probably never use. Religion: I plead the fifth. I don't have a religion I am happy the way I am. Personality: I am a loud, independent, hot tempered, opinionated, crude person who is loyal to her family and friends and doesn't care what anyone thinks. This is the middle... I started writing fanfiction back in the summer of 2002, my first fandom was Yu Yu Hakusho in which I wrote a story concerning Hiei getting a sunburn. (Not my proudest moment in writing history) That story has long since been removed and I have moved on. Come to think of it, I did a lot of things in the summer of 2002, I first got into anime (by way of Dragon Ball Z) and I met my friend and fellow author Sakura02 who has honestly inspired me to keep plugging away at writing. (By the way, that's a link so click it and read her stories!) My most written in fandom is Beyblade with 15 stories, several being multi-chaptered. Out of all the fandoms I've dabbled in, Beyblade is where I feel most comfortable. Although it may be my comfort zone I have ventured away from there but stayed rooted to the 'anime' area. I would like to say that as I matured so hasn't my writing but I highly doubt that. Really? I am addicted to my favorite characters being in pain, or suffering from sickness or injury or self doubt. Angst, Hurt/Comfort, drama, family, friendship and sometimes humor are the sections I usually haunt in. Knowing the words "Fan Fiction" are roughly translated into "Whoo Hooo let's see how badly we can fuck up the characters" I am one of those people do don't believe in randomly changing the gender of characters or the sexual orientation. You can do whatever else you want with them, but (in my opinion) stick to what the creators of the characters set them to be. Honestly, this site is getting over run with Slash, Yaoi and other sexually explicit crap. I don't have a problem with those types of stories if they are well thought out and well written, I (like most of you) have probably run across those badly written stories that have severly under developed descriptions and poor wording. Now, I have nothing against gay relationships, I support the freedom to choose who you want to spend the rest of your life with regardless of gender or type or skin color. as long as your happy and your not out maiming small children or helpless animals in the parks, go for it, I don't care. But I can't get over the amount of pairing stories out there. That's all I'm going to say on that. Argue all you want, I'm not changin my mind. Did I mention I'm stubborn as hell? This is the ending... I've been told I am an anomaly among people of my generation by those older than me. I've been told I'm a misguided dreamer and find nothing wrong with it. I've been told that your inner strength is the only thing you can count on and believe it. I've been taught that people come and go from your life rapidly but the impression they leave is forever. I've been shown Fear of the unknown is the reason why people don't want to see outside the box. I've seen first hand the feelings of almost loosing both parents due to the negligence of a driver. I've sat beside people from all walks of life and many of them have become close friends. I've felt the weight of responsibility of someone twice my age and have a better understanding of what to expect. I live in the real world but like to dabble in the worlds of fantasy from time to time. I love horses because when around them you can be yourself and only be judged by the love you give. I love to write simply because it's a creative expression and a way to pass the time. I sing along to my radio in my car and pound on my steering wheel even though I can't sing a tune or carry a beat. I live and experience life in the best possibly way don't you think, you should too?
