Thoughts from the Edge (09/23/2012):

Several stories have been removed: Office: Arbor Day, SPN AU: Will We Make It?, SPN AU: The Lunatic Parade, SPN/Hellraiser: Exquisite Agony, and SPN AU: Act of the Inevitable. This is simply because I cannot think of how to continue them at this time. They have been saved, so I could possibly repost them at some point in the future. At this time, though, I cannot foresee myself doing that. At most, I will pursue occasional one-shots and new stories when the mood takes me.

FAQ:

1) When are you going to update (insert story name)?
Honestly? When I feel like it. Sometimes one story overtakes another and becomes easier to write, other times I am still writing the one you are watching/reading but I'm having trouble fleshing out the chapter in the way I want to. I don't like updating just for the hell of it - if I post something I want it to be the vision I have in mind. To do anything less is an insult to my creative process and to you, the readers. I should note that there are times I take long periods of break (hiatuses) from stories (between 2-4 weeks, depending on what's going on in my life). If I have been regularly updating a story and then stop or disappear, don't panic - I'm just on one of these holidays to rest up and wait for sweet Calliope to start whispering to me again. Just check my Story Status below - if it says Hiatus, then this means I've gotten distracted by another story and it will be a while before I update the one you are interested in. If it says Indefinite Hiatus, well, hell-on-heels, I'm not even sure when I'm going to pick it back up again.

2) I remember you from a while ago under a different name - what happen to your other stories?
I have been on FF.net for a long time, and over that time I wrote a lot of different stories. At one point I hit a very down time in my life and completely deleted every fic I had written, to make a fresh start. I don't regret this - they were written during that bad time and there was nothing more I could ever do with them. It was a therapeutic action, and while I'm glad that so many of you enjoyed them, I myself could find no drive or want to continue them. Since October 2010, I've begun writing again with new inspiration and a healthier outlook on life. I write for enjoyment, not obligation.

3) Why do you change your avatar so often?
Boredom. Occasionally I get obsessed with something and change my avatar to reflect it. Most of the time it is for the sheer hell of it. Personality quirk.

4) You don't hold stories hostage, do you? Like "I won't update until I get (insert number) reviews?"
Absolutely not, I find that tacky and grasping for attention. In my opinion, writers write for the enjoyment of the act, because they have a story to tell and the desire is to share this work with others. Don't misunderstand me, I get very excited when I receive a review; it is wonderful to hear back from my readers and know what they think of my work. But I never require one, only request them.

5) I notice some typos in your stories...
Yeah, sorry about that. I should note that I am not an editor. I proof-read my stories, but just that even when I am at my most fastidious and scrupulous...well, I'm only human. So, to quote Oscar Wilde: "I’ll leave you to tidy up the woulds and shoulds, wills and shalls, thats and whiches".
