Over the years, this has been a ridiculously long bio of stuff nobody reads, a stupid half-threatening speech and about a million other variations. So now, I'll keep it simple:

I live in Aberdeen, Scotland - and despite what my accent might say, I've lived in the Aberdeenshire area my entire life. I am not English/American/Australian or from any-miscellaneous-country-in-Europe. I am Scottish born and raised, and graduated from Robert Gordon University with full honours in Publishing with Journalism (whoohoo!)

I took time off of writing fanfiction in order to concentrate on my Dissertation (Otaku Texts on British Shores: An analysis of The Popularity of Manga in the UK), but now that its all behind me, I'm starting to plan fanfictions and originals again.

I like anime, manga, Transformers, rpg's, Artemis Fowl (by Eoin Colfer) and The Hitman Diaries (by Danny King)

My favourite writers here are Meiran and LittleMewLugia, and my favourite story is Knight of Spira

I started writing fanfiction . . . in late 2000/early 2001. My first fanfiction were (cringeworthy enough) Pokemon fics (Pen Name: Thundra_New_Dimension - Stories: New Dimension and Cataluna's Journey) on the 'Pokeflame' forum, which collapsed and disappeared, never to be seen again about a year later, and after our old computer imploded, these fics were lost to time (FYI, there was a really great 'own character' story there, can't remember names and such, but for a genre thats ten a penny it was really, really good. If anyone can remembers these old fics please let me know).

Then I moved on to Neopets with the penname Deadly_Dreamer, and became a Neopian Times Champion 15 times (3 stories). Sad to say, at the time I considered that the greatest achievement of my life. (by the by, 'Battle For Neopia', 'Sinicar's Revenge', and 'Pet Pets Strike Back' can still be read in the older archives of the Neopian Times).

However, by the time the last chapter of PPSB was going up, I had gotten bored with Neopets, mainly because the html for websites was driving me nuts, and I'd been scammed out of my original account. But mainly, because I found a site that was better for my addictiveness to anime and games and writing.

Fanfiction.net. It was introduced to me by my friend Onmyo-Ji Rina, and after several weeks of reading without an account, I signed up, and soon after, started posting in the Final Fantasy 9 section.

And the rest as one says, is history

Final Fantasy 9

The Torment of Tantalus - The first fanfiction I ever posted here, and still, without fail, my favourite. It was easy to write, simple to follow, and most importantly, fun to write.

The Beginning - What was meant to be the first in a series of Tantalus past fanfictions. Like the description says, its my take on what Zidane could have done before Torment of Tantalus.

The Girl of 1000 Pasts - Sadly, the Tantalus Past never moved on after Ruby's fic. I'm not actually too fond of this one. I think I came on a little thick with it. Seems to be popular enough though.

Inheritance - Ah yes, my first 'angst' fic. This idea was kicking up a storm in my brain long before I started typing it up. A look into the relationship between the 'Angels of Death' and what it means for Zidane.

Manga

Dragon Knights

Ringleys Wish - My first (and last) Dragon Knights fanfic. Don't get me wrong, I love Dragon Knights, but its just so. Damn. LONG. And it seems to have gone on hiatus for the better part of a year over here. Its dragging of chapters is worthy of Dragonball Z (or the Naruto filler sagas). I just have no love for this fandom anymore. When they actually end the series, then we'll see.

Pet Shop of Horrors

Rebirth - The first Pet Shop of Horrors fanfiction that I actually felt comfortable posting online. Rather than a D/Leon piece, it's more along the lines of 'Little Lion' and 'Sugar is a Drug' (Go READ) as those are two of my favourites in the fandom. Completed but still feels unfinished to me. Might continue it at a later date.

First Impressions - (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) I'm kind of scared about how popular this fic is given how short the chapters are. I half forget I wrote it half the time.

Understanding - (Ice Age) I love Ice Age, and its sequel. But this fic I felt answered the question all of us wanted to ask. What the HELL was Diego eating?

Transformers

Dinobots - My take on how the Dinobots could get into this continuity (and I wrote it BEFORE Transformers Animated came out so if anything, they imitated me!). Meant to have a few more chapters, but inspiration dried up, so it remains as is for now.

Format - (Transformers 2007) The longest fanfic I've ever written, and my most popular. A different take on the Autobot!Sam fandom.

Upgrade - The 'somewhat' long awaited sequel to Format. What was I thinking when I decided to start this up again? It's struggling along, being updated at a snails pace, but I'm getting there. Hopefully it will satisfy all the fans of the first, though its a completely different kind of story from 'Format.' On temporary hiatus while I work through 'Prime'

Prime - Much like Format, this was a one shot that people wouldn't let me keep a one shot. I now have something of a chapter list, so progress is steady. Works on a concept hinted at in the novelisation that I wanna see more people do work on.

I also have a bunch of one shots for Transformers ROTF - but they're so short I wont waste time listing them here: Just go read them.

Circle of Life - Never to be updated. I just don't like Final Fantasy anymore. Sorry

You may have noticed that I really, really like fics of a certain nature. Specifically, the 'character-becoming-something-other-than-what-they-originally-are' nature. I adore fics where characters have to undergo a transformation of some kind, and some of the best writing comes from them. So if anyone knows of any, please drop me a link.

Also, I don't write romance or yaoi - though I do read both. This is for two reasons.

1. I'm not very skilled at writing romance, and prefer friendship/brotherly bonds

2. Everyone else on the friggin planet DOES. I can't help but wonder how many people got in yaoi because it was the only thing available. So I write for those who are looking for something that wont end in a bed or on a mountain with a blanket.

With this in mind, please, please don't contact me asking if I'll put your favourite pairing into a fanfic. If its not canon (and I mean ACTUAL canon and not hinted-at-so-strongly-it-practically-IS-canon canon) - it doesn't go in.
