Author has written 21 stories for Pokemon, DC Superheroes, Digimon, Sonic the Hedgehog, Doctor Who, StarTrek: The Original Series, and Professor Layton. Not that you should restrict yourself to autobiography, never straying outside the bounds of your personal experience. If this were so, we would have no Shakesphere, probably no thrillers, and certainly no science fiction. 'Write about what you know' means do your research. Some subjects will need less research than others, and for a beginner this may be a significant advantage, but there are no out-of-bound subjects so long as you know what you're talking about.
