Author has written 222 stories for Digimon, Power Rangers, Children of the Corn, Harry Potter, Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Kingdom Hearts, and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

I write in Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Yu-Gi-Oh, Power Rangers, and Digimon, for the most part, with occasional forays into Kingdom Hearts or Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds. Yu-Gi-Oh GX is my main fandom of the moment.

I write romance, friendship, and genfic. When I write romance, I write het, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, and any combination thereof. I enjoy writing for challenges and contests. I like to write alternate timelines and the occasional alternate universe, as well as my interpretation of what could have happened 'behind the scenes', as well as before and after the events of canon. I work hard to maintain canon characterization while exploring pairings, friendships, and situations that never happened or were not shown in canon. Canon is my friend, not my enemy. I do like to tweak it and twitch it here and there. It's not perfect. Nothing is.

I don't believe that there is any way that I or any other fanfic writer can make canon 'better' or even be 'better' than canon. Without canon, there would be no fanfic at all. A reader might like it better, but that is due to personal preference, not the inherent quality of the material.

Speaking of canon, I always find it useful to actually know it as well as possible before I read or write anything connected to it. I've watched all 180 episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh GX in the original Japanese as well as every subbed episode that I could lay my hands on. And I frequently rewatch them. It is a beautiful story of a group of flawed people who make mistakes, the mistakes any other human being would make, and who learn and grow from those mistakes, and in the end, all of them find the places where they belong, be it traveling the world, finding a home in a new world, finding the job of their dreams, continuing their education, being with the person that they truly loved the most, romantically or otherwise, or sometimes paying with their lives for their mistakes or their hubris. Everyone solved their personal and emotional problems and went on to shining futures.

You will find no dub references here. The GX dub does not interest me in the slightest. I'm quite happy with the original and sub. You will also not find any The Abridged Series related humor. I can make my own jokes, thanks.

All characters are respected here, including and especially Asuka, Rei, and Yubel. No one's character growth will be ignored or discarded. Characters will be important for more than who they date. No character will be presented as pure evil unless they actually were in canon, which none of them really were. Even the Light of Ruin and Darkness are natural forces present in the universe, and in Darkness's case, he exists quite simply because humans exist and are flawed creatures. This doesn't mean there won't be evil acts being performed, but no character is perfectly evil or perfectly good. Everyone is capable of making mistakes, falling from grace, and learning to rise again.

While I do not write for reviews, I do enjoy getting them. I see nothing wrong with this. I won't withhold updates if I don't get them, because that's just ridiculous, but I do love to get them. Anything from accurate concrit to a simple "I liked it" and everything in between is appreciated. Suggestions for improvement are also taken into account. I obviously can't take them all, because everyone has a different idea about what would improve something, but I will always consider a suggestion's veracity and determine how it can be best put to use.

If I Had Written GX

In General: No new characters would show up, but canon characters implied to exist (such as some parental figures, the doctor who suppressed Juudai's memories, etc.) would have somewhat more lines.

Season One: We would have found out that Juudai has very few memories of his life before the age of seven a lot sooner, hinting at the memory suppression. He would possibly have some belief about this, like having been struck by a car and nearly dying, but losing all of his memories. This would be false, but he would not be aware of it until much later. There would not have been as much emphasis on darkness being evil and light being good, which is really ridiculous considering the way the show ended up. There would have been much more friendship shown between Ryou and Fubuki, and possibly hints they feel they're missing someone, but no actual indications of Fujiwara's existence just yet. Also, Asuka would have defeated Darkness, thus actually giving meaning to her search for her brother.

Season Two: Much, much less filler. Juudai wouldn't have wandered around the island like a moron for days and days after returning from Neo-space. Perhaps a hint or two of Yubel, but nothing very clear. Mizuchi would possibly have shown up closer to the beginning, and possibly have interacted with a few other people. Misawa would have left a farewell note, but not actually told where he was going. Saiou would have tried to duel Shou into the Society of Light, but like with Kenzan, even if he defeated him, Shou wouldn't be converted, as his loyalty to Juudai is too strong. Speaking of Kenzan, the fact he's part dinosaur would have been made somewhat more important. Precisely how I do not as of yet know, but it would be more than a minor throwaway plot device. Saiou might also attempt to convert Hell Kaiser, but that too would fail.

Season Three: There would have been flashbacks to Juudai and Yubel's first life together from the earliest parts of season three, but without actually revealing Yubel's name until close to the end of the season when Juudai fuses their souls. Juudai might've presumed the person he saw was actually Johan, given their resemblance. There would also have been indications of a third person, but this third person would not be clearly revealed at that point. We would have seen more about Johan's own past, including a child!Johan, since we got child!versions of Jim, O'Brien, and Amon, but never Johan. There would have been more about Ekou, clearly stating she's not a Garam but was just hired by them to be Amon's companion. There would have been more depth and more time given to Juudai's actions when he conquered Dark World, including how he gathered his death duelists and began to make Super Fusion. It would have been made crystal clear from the start that he was not brainwashed, mind controlled, or in any way influenced by anyone else. This includes removing the "inner Haou" shown in episode 136. There would have been a lot more indications of how much time passed there as well. Juudai would have also crossed paths with Ryou and Edo while he was still in his conquest phase. Brainwashing of Ryou or Edo optional. It would have been made clear also that only Fubuki, Manjoume, Kenzan, Asuka, O'Brien, Jim, Edo, and Ryou were salvaged by Yubel, and everyone else who died stayed dead. Ryou would also have returned with everyone else in the end. Also, if there would be a place to tuck it in, Camula would have been discovered in one of the other worlds, living happily with a new vampire husband, and being fully reformed, as she would no longer be the only vampire in the world. It might not make up for the murder of her entire species, but it would satisfy her enough.

Season Four: Johan, Jim, and O'Brien would have shown up a lot more, especially Jim and Johan. More about Yubel and Juudai's past would have been revealed, including the identity of that mysterious third figure. Like you couldn't have guessed, it was Johan. He and Yubel might possibly have been related, though that is optional. Manjoume's brothers would return and would apologize to Manjoume for having been such jerks, and he would forgive them, as they would finally acknowledge that his methods work better than theirs. The Manjoume Group would work together from that moment onwards. Asuka would realize that she has not really grown as much as a duelist as she would like to have, and decides to change that. Her exact path would be unclear, but she wants to be more than she has become. As always, dueling is her focus, though she may not enter the Pros. She might possibly learn of a style of dueling that appeals to her, such as the Cyber style, but with a strong feminine bent to it, and go to learn more of that, or possibly enter the medical field, sponsored by Ayukawa-sensei. Fubuki's path to the future would be shown as well, leading him towards the show-biz side of dueling, possibly as an actor or musician. More friendship between Fubuki and Ryou would be shown as well, as well as between Fubuki, Ryou, and Fujiwara. Misawa contacts Zweinstein, and everyone else finds out that he's safe and alive in Taniya's world, and has not changed his mind about staying there. Efforts to make travel between the worlds safer would begin. Edo and Saiou's friendship would also be touched upon in this season. The last battle would involve a being that is greater than both the Darkness of Nihility and the Light of Ruin: Chaos.

Overall, the plot would stay the same. What I would change would be the presentation of it. Granted, much of this could not be done in anime, because of the limitation of episodes and such. But as fanfic is not limited in that respect, I will probably write some of what I've mentioned into my fanfics at various points.

Romances: I would have had extremely few canon couples. Juudai x Yubel, Amon x Ekou, and Taniya x Misawa. The chemistry between Juudai and Johan would remain exactly as it is, interpretable as friends or lovers, depending upon what the viewer wishes to see. There would be one-sided crushes, such as Manjoume's on Asuka, and she might even consent to dating him briefly, but I would leave it up in the air on if they were going to be an actual pairing.

Why Juudai Is Haou, Past, Present, and Future: Because Haou is the title that the being who has the power of Right Darkness possesses. Juudai had that power in the past, he has it in the present, and he will have it in the future. The power is not intrinsically evil, but JUUDAI will use evil methods if it achieves the goals he has set, which are in general to protect the people he cares about in specific and the world itself as a whole. If there are other ways, he will take those, but he will not shy away from evil if it achieves his ultimate good end. This does not make him intrinsically evil. At most, he is dark, and dark is not evil.

Also, if Juudai did not have the power of Haou, then Yubel would not exist. She took on that form to protect him until he was an adult. Juudai had to accept his power and himself, which was repeated over and over during the course of the latter part of season three. If he didn't have that power in modern times, then Yubel would have no purpose in existing at all, and would not have been reborn herself. Juudai's true nature was hinted at as early as season one, with Daitokuji thinking that Juudai's true power hadn't yet awakened, and was hinted even more strongly when he met the Neo-Spacians. The Light of Ruin all but told him of what was to come. It isn't something they thought up five minutes before writing the episode.

Please, get rid of the rule of levels from this world. You...you must be able to replace that guy...to be Supreme King...-Birdman/Harpie's Brother, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, episode 132.
