Name: Christine Burke (It's easy enough to find on my site.)
Age: 28
Writing Style: Shameless Procrastinator
It has been some time since I have written anything worth sharing with others. Usually I'm more of an illustrator/photographer. You can see my work on the site listed above. It does seem that lately (since last I've written anything here) I have been going through some very odd behavior patterns. One year I draw with intensity, or photograph everything I can find through a camera lens. The following year I desire to write.
This year is a photography/illustration year. (2008)
Last year was a writing year. (2007)
I am currently working on three pieces:
"Sympathy for the Devil" - Castlevania: Curse of Darkness - Pretty much a sequel because I really hate how Isaac got shafted in the end. Warning: Original characters.
Of and Pertaining to a Certain Reluctant Leader - Transformers: G1 - Basically a story following an important decision that has to be made by Hot Rod after the Return of Optimus Prime. (I do not acknowledge Season 4 and all that Headmasters crap. I barely even follow the "Hate Plague" crap but it takes place in this story because it lends itself to an explanation of Hot Rod's character development. Halfway through Season 3 it really felt like the writers were getting desperate, even when I was a kid.)
Untitled Series - Transformers: G1 - Just a bunch of little blurbs and shorts that have no real relevance to anything. Most of them are Prowl-centric because he has been and probably always will be my favorite Transformer. I do have to warn that original characters show up in this.
So here's the deal:
I write because I feel like it and to prove I still can. It relieves stress and boredom. It also allows me to further explore my favorite fandoms through my own mind. If you have a dislike of anything I write, please just don't read it. If you have constructive criticism, by all means, share. Don't ever expect to see finished projects. If you like a project I've worked on but haven't continued, feel free to contact me if you have ideas about continuing it yourself. I jealously guard my photographs and illustrations. I'm a little more open to sharing with my writing. Just give me credit for my stuff.
