At all times am looking for talented artists of the anime/manga genre to illustrate my fanfics. Fave characters- bad guys who are redeemable and need redemption through love, ie: Snape, Sesshoumaru, Satan, etc. Also, nerdy guys who don't get any loving: McGee, Spencer Reid, Larry (although LKH doesn't like fics), etc. Anti-heroes, like Riddick. Dead guys - Boromir, Theodred, etc. I have a bunch of fairy-tale inspired crime-drama fanfiction either posted or in the works for such shows as CSI:Vegas/Miami/New York, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, Law&Order:CI/SVU, and NCIS. This fanfic series, which all loosely tie into each other, is called Grimm Criminology. The titles for each individual fic are inspired by the Eileen Datlow & Terri Windling fairytale retelling series (Snow White, Blood Red; Black Swan, White Raven; Ruby Slippers, Golden Tears; Silver Birch, Blood Moon, etc). I love Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. The worlds of Tolkien and Rowling are two of my favorite to visit in my mind. The enchantment, the danger, the beauty, the adventure, the love, and the magic make both worlds brilliant and beautiful. Please trust that when I write fanfiction for these worlds, it is not meant with disrespect, or frivolousness. I have the utmost respect for Tolkien and Rowling (and CS Lewis, as well, let's not forget the mastermind behind the Chronicles of Narnia) and would never insult them intentionally. I do my very, very best to keep my non-parody fics free of cliches and mary-sues. I do everything in my power to make sure that what I write fits with what I know of their respective worlds (hence why one of my fics is on hiatus since Harry Potter 7 came out- I'm still trying to fix the plotted out part so that I keep it in the storylines of the book, with only few changes) and I do lots of research. Especially in the incredibly complex, unique world of Middle Earth. Luineyende is my biggest effort in this. I am trying very hard to keep it non-sue, and in cannon. Please have patience with me- each chapter, once posted, will probably be revised at least twice. I do some crossover work, but those are experiments that I'm trying to make fit. As for my tales involving fairies... I'm using the English definition of fairy (Tolkien was English) and using the Hobbit as my reference guide. If you want an example of fairy-type creatures in his other works, you'll find Tom Bombadil and Goldberry, as well as Old Man River, Goldberry's father. In my Tales of Fate series, there are many stories. Here they are in relative chronological order, with one exception. Luineyende spans the entirety of Frodo’s life from age 12, when he is orphaned, until the time that Samwise Gamgee sails across the sea to the Undying Lands. Birth of the Liemuina is a short one-shot detailing the creation of the Liemuina (the Hidden People) by Morgoth and the fight for their freedom waged by Ulmo and the Maia of the Sea. Not really important, but I figured I ought to come up with something so people weren’t always saying, “Well, where did the Liemuina come from?” I just told you. I hate it. Don't read it until it's rewritten. Old Tales of the Shire 1- Wife of the Thain is a chapter fic, nominated for MEFA2008. It’s detailing the story of the Thain of the Shire, that Took ancestor rumored by other Hobbits to have taken a fairy wife, and how he did so. Very fairytale-like, it also has 2 side story-lines: the wooing and rescue and marriage of the Thain’s sister to a fairy prince, and the downfall of the mad fairy king and how the seventh son of a seventh daughter of a seventh son becomes king of the fairies. Chapters are dribbles, drabbles, droubles, tribbles, quabbles, and quibbles. Many allusions to literature and literary figures. Heirs of Gondor 1- the Blue Box is the prologue to the Heirs of Gondor series, which is a sub-series in my Martapennas series involving Denethor, Finduilas, and their three (yes, I said three) children- Boromir, Faramir, and the unspoken daughter, Miriel. But this one fic involves none of them, but the villain from one of the installments of the series, the Nameless Witch and her enchanted, blue jewel-studded white box. Wife of the Dwarf Lord 1- Widowed is the one-shot fic about the wife of the Dwarf Fili from the Hobbit, who becomes a widow when her husband is killed. Her childhood friend, Gloin, gives her the news. This is a one-shot in a series of one-shots spanning approximately 75 years. This is included in the Martapennas series because Rowan, Fili’s wife, is one of the Liemuina. Wife of the Dwarf Lord 2- In the Eyes of a Maid is the second one-shot in this series, told from the point of view of Gloin’s maid as she notes with a smile that her master has more than a friendly interest in the Lady Rowan. Set two years after Widowed. Heirs of Gondor 2- the Steward and the Swan is a series of dribbles, drabbles, and droubles concerning the meeting, courtship, betrothal, marriage, and life of Denethor, Steward of Gondor, and Findulas, the Swan Princess of Dol Amroth, until her death giving birth to her third child. Upon the Wing is the first of the Wing Series, the combined tale of five lonely girls longing for friendship. There is Eowyn, soon to be a shield maiden of Rohan, orphaned of her parents and living with her uncle, the King, and her too quiet brother and so serious cousin, the crown prince. There is Lothiriel, wild hell cat of a girl forced into the mold of a lady, though her soul cries out for forests and the sea. Morelinde is her father’s heir, despite being second youngest of all her siblings, and separated from her twin brother, lonely without her other half. There is Miriel, hated by her father for causing the death of her mother as an infant and disdained by the Court of Gondor because of her stiff, crooked hand, twisted leg, and crippled foot. And there is Nairaloth, the illegitimate daughter of a king, locked away in a tower and forbidden to see anyone but her guards and Morelinde. The five of them will join together in friendship with Morelinde’s special gift, and help each other become the strong women who will one day change Middle-Earth. Short Tales of the Shire 1- Dishes is a cute romantic one-shot about how Meriadoc notices Estella Bolger, the Hobbit lass he ends up marrying, as she helps him with the party dishes. The Cirince Chronicles 1- A Red Wren is the first fic (a one shot) about the apprentice healer, Cirince, who has a strange affinity for birds and cats, and who will one day grow up to join the Rangers of the North. The name Cirince means “red wren.” Short Tales of the Shire 2- Waiting is a one-shot from Rosie Cotton’s POV about Sam as she catches sight of him leaving the Shire with Frodo early one morning. Eomer Dreams 1: Dreams of Black Silk is a one-shot of Eomer of Rohan dreaming strangely real dreams of a maiden in black silk. Eomer Dreams 2: Dreams of Violet Wings is a one-shot of Eomer of Rohan dreaming strangely real dreams of a forest and a beautiful maiden with violet butterfly wings. Eomer Dreams 3: Dreams of Visions is a chapter fic where Eomer is constantly plagued by odd dreams, daydreams, hallucinations, and visions of a dark haired, golden eyed maiden who gives him hope and promises that she will come to him soon as Rohan falls deeper into darkness. Short Tales of the Shire 3- Yellow is a collection of six dribbles about Sam’s wedding to Rosie Cotton from Sam’s sister’s point of view, Sam’s point of view, Rosie’s, Rosie’s father’s, Frodo’s, and a third, unnamed narrator. Each dribble involves a shade of yellow or a yellow object. A/N: These "short tales" were written as separate one-shots instead of chapters because they concern various characters in the Shire set throughout the Ages and it just didn't feel right to call those a story, or lump them together as a series of tribbles/quabbles/quibbles in a single one-shot. It just... I dunno. I couldn't feel it. So I made them a series. I also have 2 stories, both in 2 series, that are separate fic-worlds from Martapennas. One is the Eryniel Saga- a fic series written to demonstrate, among other things, how even the smallest person, and the smallest events, can change the course of the future- and the other is the Hearts of Arda (stories about love and lust, written just for the heck of it, with very little thought behind it).
