Author has written 51 stories for Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, Stargate: Atlantis, C. S. Lewis, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Navy NCIS.

I've actually written more than I ever thought I would. I did finally delete some of the older, awful stuff, though I kept the humour fics in, because humour never gets old. But no more Sauron romance or Legolas reincarnation. I'm sorry, I just couldn't stand having it attached to my name anymore.

About my stories: My earlier stories are mostly Lord of the Rings. Since then, I've written Stargate: Atlantis, Chronicles of Narnia, Silmarillion, and Pirates of the Caribbean, though the last are only one-shots from the second movie.

For those of you who are waiting for the sequel to 'Forgotten Half', I am very very very sorry. I have it about 2/5ths of the way finished, but am suffering terrible writer's block. It now seems unlikely that I'll ever finish it.

For my LOTR stories, particularly Faramir's story and sequels, please note that, as a fan of Tolkien's work, I actually now disagree with many of the premises that I used in those stories. I do not believe that Denethor was abusive. I do not actually like weepy!Faramir anymore. In fact, I'm not too sure I even like those stories anymore, but I can't bring myself to delete them, if only for the parts I do like. I just ask that readers do not take offense at the portrayal of the characters which I think are quite a bit OOC.

About me: I am a Christian and hope to show that in my writings. I know they can be dark at times, but that is mostly to show the fallen state of humanity. I would appreciate if other Christians who read my stories would tell me if they think I go too far.

Rant: So I did watch the new Prince Caspian movie. I really, truly enjoyed it, thought it was wonderful. There is so much that I liked that I can't even write it down. But one thing nearly ruined the entire movie for me: the Susan/Caspian flirtation (hence why I threw food at the screen during the infamous kiss). But I hate it not just because it wasn't in the book, because Lewis is rolling in his grave, or just because it will make Caspian look like a cad in Voyage of the Dawn Treader when he meets Ramandu's daughter.

No, one of my biggest beefs is that now practically every single Narnian fanfic is Susan/Caspian-OMG-they're-soulmates!!111!! crap. Basically I would say about 7 out of 10 fics are Susan/Caspian. 2 out of 10 are slash/incest usually. That leaves about one fic that I can actually stand reading. Now I understand shipping in most fandoms. I even accept that people like slash, though it's not to my taste. But the excessive number of fics that propose that Susan and Caspian have 'twu wuv', or that the couple should have a double marriage with Peter and Edmund or something, just makes me want to bash my head against a wall. And I am not someone usually prone to violent actions.

Yes, in movie canon Susan and Caspian share a flirtation. I will accept that in movie canon. But to believe that a brief flirtation/admiration between two young teenagers means that they are soulmates and that the two would turn emo and angst over losing each other like some kind of warped Romeo and Juliet goes beyond the realms of canon. Not to mention that this movie canon seems to have infiltrated into the books, which means the writers should know better than to think that Aslan would break his own commands (that Susan never return to Narnia and that Caspian remain in Narnia and rule), setting aside the fact that in book canon Susan and Caspian barely meet. So, if you are going to accept movie canon, keep it in the realms of possibility. If you write book canon, keep it in the realms of possibility and in book canon. I suppose all I can hope for is that Ramandu's daughter in Voyage of the Dawn Treader is really "hot" and has such good onscreen chemistry with Caspian that everyone forgets about Susan. Please.

Also, please remember that Susan is the one with the attraction to Caspian in the movie. Not Peter. Not Edmund. If you must use movie canon (well, or book canon for that matter) please remember that. And read something of Lewis's works other than the chronicles to get a feel for what his attitude would be towards slash.

As for the incest fics: Stop. Stop it right now. If C.S. Lewis had known what you are doing to his characters I think he would never have written the stories in the first place. In simpler terms: Lewis would not like incest fics. In fact, I'm pretty sure he would despise them as sad travesties. Lewis, and most cultures, have moral and religious reasons for finding incest disgusting. And for those who dislike seeing the world in terms of "right and wrong", at least concede that scientifically and genetically incest is not acceptable.

In conclusion: This is not Narnia. You could probably get away with these sorts of thing in other fandoms, fine. I accept that. But seriously, it doesn't work with Narnia, not if you truly love the characters and stories that Lewis created. It just...doesn't. There is shipping, and then there is complete desecration of an entire fandom. Hate me and my words if you like, but please act like intelligent people and learn something about your fandom before you write in it.

New Challenge: As I tend to get horrible writer's block, particularly when writing long stories, I decided to challenge myself to continue writing, but without the pressure and research that long stories take. So I grabbed a list of 25 Challenge words off of an icon challenge on livejournal, added 10 of my own words, and decided to have at it. I can use the words as inspiration for a story, or at least a guideline. As of now I'm trying to make all 35 words into Chronicles of Narnia stories (in no particular chronological order and not related to each other unless stated otherwise), but this may change as I'm inspired. I'm going to post my list here and the titles of the resulting fics. Most fics will probably be one-shots of varying lengths.
