Author has written 11 stories for Matthew Reilly, Egyptian Mythology, X-Men: The Movie, and Avengers. The never ending dilemma of what to write on a profile... Tolkein is a god, Rowling is a close second and Stephanie Meyer should be thrown off the nearest waterfall and drowned in sparkles. Books are my escape from the world and I love fanfiction as an extension of the stories I don't ever want to end. I'll read just about anything, but LoTR/Silmarillion (Because Middle Earth is so much better than earth), Harry Potter (because it's magical - no pun intended), Matthew Reilly (because The Scarecrow is epic) Star Wars (because jedi are the most awesome), glee (because everybody needs a little bit of meaningless happiness in their lives) and old episodes of House (for the snark) are my favourites. The Avengers has also successfully taken over my life. I predominantly read and write slash and I ship odd pairings mostly and if you don't like that, thats fine, but please sod off now. My writing style is character driven pieces because thats what I like best. Gramatically, I use way too many comma's so feel free to tell me off about that. I'm working on reducing said number of commas but like all addictions, i'll need to be weaned off slowly. I'm a student, studying ancient and classical history with an intrest in linguistics and particularly ancient languages. Might publish a story in heiroglyph or hebrew just for kicks! I have three cats hence the reference to the egyptian goddess Bast in my name. I also prefer gender neutral pronouns, they/ze/hir/hirself. 'They' is my favourite cause I think the other's sound weird but i'd still rather you use ze/hir/hirself above she/her/herself and he/him/himself. If that's totally confusing to you, please feel free to PM me to chat about it! Thats all. Also, if you're on pottermore - and if you have any harry potter stories saved to your favourites, don't pretend you aren't! - feel free to add me, I'm SpiritWing1872 and a proud slytherin! "I do it because I can, I can because I want to, I want to because you said I couldn't." I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian. May God bless us with discomfort May God bless up with anger May God bless us with tears to shed May God bless us with enough foolishness The Jesus I worship is not likely to collaborate with those who vilify and persecute an already oppressed minority - All; black, white, yellow, rich, poor, clever, not so clever, beautiful, not so beautiful, gay, straight, lesbian; All are Gods Children So I realised there's a fairly dominant theme in my profile and in my stories and I don't mean it to be so heavily "Whoah!Gay" it's just that when other people will insist on defining you by that one characteristic then it does sort of start to be the most dominant aspect of yourself that you have to defend and celebrate and all this other jazz all the time. Sometimes, I wish I could just forget that I'm gay - or more accurately, that being gay makes me different - but hey, that's life. I've worked pretty hard of late to make my work more open to everyone. If you don't like slash, my MR stories 'Intruder,' 'A Very Merry Scarecrow Christmas' and 'Under Cover of Darkness' as well as my foray into Avengers fic 'His Own Private Party' are totally gen. (Though in my head, I see UCOD as being set in the same universe as Confessions) You fail to recognise that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow up to be Upcoming Works Interludes: threequel to confessions and complications but in quite a different vein, more a series of vingettes about the little moments in their relationship without any real plot, will also depend on where I decide to finish complications. Slash, ratings will vary with each vignette probably T-ish overall though there will be some M one's UP NOW, more to come in dribs and drabs Little Wonders: Knight/Schofield x-men crossover mpreg, apparantly people want to read it! Not really sure how to explain it though... gonna be complicated. Slash, M ON HIATUS, slow updates but they will come As yet untitled: If the last one was complicated to explain, this one is even more so! Schofield/OMC with elements of Schofield/Gant and previous Schofield/OFC and eventually Schofield/Knight. Schofield struggles to balance family life with his new relationship with Libby, complicated even more so by a dark shadow creeping back from his past to entagle him again. Dark and angsty, involves domestic abuse, definitely M Also currently untitled: Shane Schofield's ragtag unit is made up of predominantly beta's, a couple of omegas and their one exceptional alpha. Unit 1 on the other hand, is made up exclusively of alphas. What happens when Unit 1 is disbanded and the dynamics of Schofield's team get shaken up when they are forced to take on another pair of alphas, one of which has some serious attitude problems. Schofield/Sanchez, [warning] possibly dubious consent, omega verse, alpha!sanchez, omega!schofield. M. A High School AU: exactly what it says on the tin. T. UP NOW Walk This Road: Buck Riley Junior/Shane Schofield; we ain't friends anymore, if we walk down this road, we'll be lovers for sure. MR/Maximum Ride Crossover: Got no more details than that for now - just marines and bird kids and maybe some spiderman elements too. Please please please let me know which one - if any - you would like me to post first. I've recently joined Ao3 as well (that's archive of our own, just in case) and you can find me there under the same name. Not all my stories are up there yet but seeing as they're all up here, I'm sure that won't be an issue for anyone who's reading my profile here. Just thought i'd share my thoughts on it. From a philosophical point of view, Ao3 kicks ass. They're open to explicit content, have a far more extensive and appropriate warning system, use tags which personally I find hilarious, allow RPF (not that I write that but if you do) and are generally more reasonable than this site. This, I think, is a good enough reason to make the move and put up with the little technical flaws that they'll hopefully sort out soon. I operate in fairly small fandoms so mostly go under the radar of all the ridiculous politics of this site but if that changes, I will be moving totally unhesitatingly. Just a heads up if I disappear from around here, that's where i'll be. I really hope it doesn't come to that. Please Read This Bit!!! Seeing at ff.net has introduced these new image things (as soon as I work out how to use them) I am in the market for an illustrator!!! I have absolutely no talent whatsoever at drawing people and would love to take someone else on board. I would really appreciate anyone who would like to take a shot at bringing these characters to life. Thanks and let me know! | |||||||
