Author has written 47 stories for Magnificent Seven, Dirty Dancing, Walker, Texas Ranger, Boomtown, Law and Order: CI, Law and Order: SVU, Last of the Mohicans, Primeval, Studio 60, Hawaii Five-0, Lie to Me, and Ripper Street. piaffe: (pee-ahf) Verb. A rhythmic, two beat trot on the spot performed by a horse at the Grand Prix level of dressage. This movement represents years of training and preparation on the part of horse and rider and is the epitome of grace and balance. The best Grand Prix horses do not advance forward even a single inch. Thus, it is such grace and balance that I seek when I write. Favorite things in fanfiction: Good imagery, thoughtful storylines, wit, wicked satire, alliteration, characters who act like themselves, inside jokes for true fans, and REVIEWS. Least favorite things in fanfiction: Mary Sues, stories with no plot, ridiculous scenarios, characters who act like 5 year olds, and positive reviews for any of the aforementioned items. (Also, song lyrics are not a substitute for an actual story, so if you're going to write a song fic, please make sure that you have a plot, otherwise, you're transcribing what we hear on the radio.) Me in a nutshell: A bachelor's degree in English and a master's in communication studies means that (in theory), I should be able to present you with coherent stories and thorough, thoughtful reviews. (Key words in that sentence: "in theory.") By day, I work in the higher education realm and by night, I'm making a mean attempt at success in competitive FEI-level dressage. In between, I try to find time to hang out with friends, connect with my family, and be an upstanding citizen. Fun fact: I have a photographic and audiographic memory.
