Advanceshipping: The only pairing that I seriously support and will stick with as it makes the most logical sense. I didn’t plan to support any shippings but without realising it I had already subconsciously started supporting Ash & May, probably due to it not being a cliché ‘Boy is a complete jerk to the Girl and then he starts flirting with her and she becomes completely shallow and falls for him’. The thing I find best about Advanceshipping is that it has a strong base for a long lasting relationship as Ash and May have an ideal bond of trust between them (this was blatantly shown in the 9th movie) and it is this that I find is the most important factor in sustaining a long term relationship. So my reason for liking this couple is there interactions (chemistry) rather than pairing characters because they look cute together, which coincidently Ash and May are.

Orangeshipping: I tend towards this one probably due to there being only repeats of the Orange Islands for a while, and Tracey’s calm attitude matches well with Misty’s hot-headedness.

Dawn I don’t care who she is paired with unless it gets in the way of Advanceshipping.

Contestshipping: I HATE DREW! HE IS A STUCK-UP, NARCISSISTIC, WOMANISING, JERK! As if May likes him, he calls her pathetic, useless and weak, and then throws a rose at her like it makes up for it, that’s a really good way to get someone to like you, more like a slap on the face. I don’t get on with people who act like Drew as they don’t know the meaning of the words; honesty, loyalty and respect.

Pokéshipping: Misty beats Ash repeatedly so how can this work, their interactions are more like the ones between May and Max, so this is more like a brother-sister relationship.

Pearlshipping: Dawn is too young and can be stuck-up at times (e.g. she goes on and on about how great her mum is because she was a co-ordinator, big deal there are loads of co-ordinators so she is just one of many). In terms of age gap if tournaments and festivals are annual events and the Orange League was like a summer holiday then when Ash went to Sinnoh he was 14 and Dawn would be 10, how many 14 year-olds do you see going out with 10 year-olds, I think you’ll find that it is pretty much 0.

Any gay pairing: Have seen no hints of this.
