And now may I present to you…

All You Could Possibly Need or Want to Know About Me:(Dun dun dunnnnn!)

I grew up in a small farming town in southeastern Idaho with lots of pets, lots of space, lots of cows and lots of music. Then one day, I graduated from high school, went to college, met a wonderful guy and married him. Now we have a cute little kid who keeps us on our toes and is really entertaining. We have another little one coming in May. My life rocks!

I'm a HUGE fan of the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. I love bright colors and eating popcicles. I also like to do random, goofy things and laugh a lot.

As for the writing thing, I'm not the greatest writer ever, but I'm always looking to improve...that's the whole point, right? Contsructive criticism/suggestions are appreciated, but be nice to me if you want me to be nice to you.

My Personal Philosophy on Writing:

If you've read this far into my profile, congratulations. You're amazing!

I’m adamant that EVERYONE, young and old, should be able to read and hopefully enjoy what I write. I don’t put foul language, sexual content, excessive violence etc. in my stories and I NEVER will. Period. I don’t like to read stuff like that, so why would I ever write it? If that’s what you’re looking for, for crying out loud go read something else!

I usually take a more lighthearted, adventurous approach to writing because I figure there’s enough heavy, angsty crap out there and sometimes it’s nice to have a breath of fresh air. Besides, whenever I write serious or dramatic stuff, it always ends up sounding cheesy…it’s just not my thing, let’s put it that way.

I consider everything I write, fan fiction or not, to be in draft form. This means that there WILL BE MISTAKES. Everyone on this site is an aspiring writer, therefore, keep in mind that the only way to fix a mistake I might have missed is for someone else to point it out.

Connecting and interacting with other writers is one of the very best ways to become a better writer yourself. And it's fun! That being said, I would LOVE to hear from you! Please feel free to leave me CONSTRUCTIVE/HELPFUL feedback on any of my stories or send me a PM.

Why I Write Fan Fiction:

I don’t see fan fiction as a way to live out personal desires to be in on the action or have a romantic fantasy-relationship with a certain canon character (yuck). Rather, I see it as a fun and challenging way to hone vital writing skills while participating in a favorite fandom. I also like to use fan fictions as a sort of “testing ground” for new characters or plotlines that can be used in original fictions later on.

I treat my fan fictions just like I would any other piece of writing…well, like a piece of writing. I try to find a voice for each one, keep consistent plots, develop my original characters to their full potential and try to make them something I can be proud of...maybe even laugh at.

Some Favorite Movies:

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters 1 and 2, Napolean Dynamite, almost everything turned out by Pixar, Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy, Harry Potter, Stranger Than Fiction, Nacho Libre, X-Men, Men In Black, Hunger Games, Kung-Fu Panda, Diary of a Wimpy Kid...I could go on and on and on...

Some Favorite TV Shows:

MacGyver, Due South, Stargate SG-1, Monk, Star Trek: TOS, Star Trek: Voyager, Hogan's Heroes, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Frazier, King of the Hill, Storm Chasers, America's Funniest Home Videos, The Cosby Show, The Office

Some favorite Bands:

The Beatles, OK Go, Nickel Creek, They Might Be Giants

Some Favorite Quotes:

"Whether you think you can or you can't, you're absolutely right." --Henry Ford
